12. Mixed emotions

The next morning I got up and went to work. The thought of Harry never left my mind. He was probably mad at me because I didn't text him last night, but I couldn't. I didn't know what to say. I did feel bad for being so harsh on him, and I was going to apologize. I just don't know when. I need to take a break from seeing him for now..
I heard my phone start ringing and it woke me up, great I fell asleep again! "Shit" I mumbled as I saw mindy running up front. "Tori! How many times do I have to tell you to keep your phone off!!" She screamed. Shes such a bitch. The customers looked up at her from their computers shocked. "S-sorry" she said to them. I laughed as she stormed off to the back. I checked my phone and I had a missed call and a text from Sarah. Ohhh great. 'Hey girl! I'm coming to see you soon' she said. '0kay, see you in a minute' I replied. I flipped a piece of paper over and started scribbling on it. I wasn't super artistic, but I could draw pretty well, I looked down to finally realize what I was drawing. I immediately dropped the pen when I saw I was drawing someone who looked exactly like Harry. I pushed the paper away from me and got up to stretch when I saw Sarah run in. "Heeeey!" She squealed. "Shhh!" I said, laughing at her being so obnoxious. A few more customers looked up at her, they were probably annoyed by all the disruptions, but oh well. "Sorry, but so please tell me you put in a good word for me last night with Harry!" She said leaning over the counter that I was behind. She was now all ears. "Uhhhh" I mumbled "uhhh" "UHH WHAT!" Sarah finally said, anxious to hear my answer. I didn't know what to say, she still didn't know. "H-he didn't come in, he must have went somewhere else, did you know they opened a new pub around the corner?" I asked trying to change the subject. "No but-" "we'll they did, you should check it out" I said cutting her off. "Damn, your acting weird today" she teased. "Yeah, I'm just confused" I said, not thinking about what was coming out of my mouth. "Confused about what?!" She questioned. "I meant to say tired, yeah tired." I corrected myself. Why did i have this feeling, I couldn't even talk to my bestfriend without feeling weird. And it's like I had to filter my mouth not to say anything about Harry. I was kind of hoping she would leave soon, this was so awkward.
She looked around the coffee shop, looking bored. Then to the pen she was playing with in her hands. I looked down at it too, then I saw something, the piece of paper on the counter. BIG mistake. "What's this??" She asked, a bit of anger in her tone. She was talking about the picture of Harry I drew. "Oh that, ahahah" I was so bad at lying to her. "YEAH, that" she stated. She raised an eyebrow and looked at me. "A fan brought that by, and asked me to give it to Harry if he comes again" I said. Good cover up. "Ha, oh. Well it sucks, it's not even finished. Only one eye is colored. And Harry has waaaay prettier eyes than that, and a better smile, and HOLDUP, where are those adorable dimples, and-" "OKAY SARAH I GET IT, I mean, she didn't finish it" I cut her off again. I swear she never shuts up. I looked back down thinking about what she said, and it was true. My picture didn't compare to him, he was way more attractive than I made him out to be. Oh my gosh, what am I thinking. ' you don't like him tori' I said to myself. But I don't think I can let Sarah have him after all, because I kind of sorta had little feelings for him. I have to admit, he did grow on me. "Hello! Earth to tori! Did you hear me?" Sarah snapped me out of my gaze. "Woah sorry what?" I asked "I'm leaving, I'll text you later. Maybe we can hangout tonight or something" she said. "Alright, sounds good, bye" I said as she walked out. Man, I was in trouble.
