2. Bad morning

On my way to work I drove through downtown manhattan and noticed a bunch of cars surrounding a hotel. I figured it was probably someone famous again. People get so excited when they stayed in a hotel in manhattan, but the traffic was wicked when they did. That's probably why I was stuck in a huge line of cars. I dont see why everyone is obsessed with famous people, i mean theyre humans. theres nothing different about them. I looked at my watch furious, Mindy would be bitching all day if she finds out I wasn't there at 6. I beeped my horn at the car in front of me and she beeped back. By then the whole line of cars was beeping their horns. I could not deal with this. I finally pulled to a side street and took the long way to work, atleast It got me out of all the traffic. When I got to work mindy was staring me down as I walked in. "TORI! It's 6:40 , I swear I don't know why I keep you, I should have fired you a month ago!" She shouted. I rolled my eyes and walked to the back to get my apron on. "What's your excuse this time!" She shouted. "I was stuck in traffic. A lot of traffic, more than I have ever seen." I said. " we'll I wasn't! So that's a lie" she said walking to the back where i was so she could get eye contact with me. "Maybe because you don't go through downtown, do you mindy? Didn't think so." I said sarcastically. She rolled her eyes and went back to the front. " I'm done with your attitude" she shouted. "I'm going home, you can manage it by yourself can't you? It's Thursday, it won't be busy." I watched her walk past me with her bags and leave. She was such a bitch. I was actually glad she left. But I didn't know how to make half the stuff on the menu, including breakfast sandwiches, so hopefully nobody would order one today. I started the coffee maker and put my head down beside the cash register. About 30 minutes later I heard someone beating on the bell. I slung my head up and saw a woman there. "Hello?! Sleeping on the job miss?" She asked me. "Oh. Sorry, can I help you?" I said trying to fix my hair. "Yeah I want a small vanilla latte." She said handing me $5. I made her coffee and watched her leave the shop.
