28. Small Aurguments

After Niall left in the morning I pulled out my phone and texted Casey.

<Liz><To Casey> Tell me all about it, chic!

<Casey><To Liz> It would be easier to tell you in person, I am already more than half way to your house.

<Liz><To Casey> Okay Casey I’ll be downstairs waiting on you.

A few minutes later her car pulled up to our driveway and opened the door and found me seated on the staircase. “Hey chic!” She says sitting next to me. “So what happened last night? Huh, huh?” I laughed. “Yes because your life is so interesting.” A rude voice snapped from the living room. Louis got up and walked to over to the staircase, where me and Casey were sitting in shock. “Louis, shut up. Let’s go to my room where there are no Louis’s.” I sassed as I grabbed Casey’s hand and ran up the stairs.

I locked the door and sat on the bed next to Casey, waiting to hear what happened then I had to tell what happened to me. “Okay, I’m not going in major detail but the dinner was amazing and he is very funny. After dinner he parked a few blocks from my house and we walked to my house, and as we were walking he asked me out, of course I said yes, and then… we kissed.” She said with cheeky smile. That seemed to of went well. Now it was my turn, I sighed and began to speak. “That’s great. Alright I have to tell you something as well,” She nodded for me to continue. “So Niall came home with us yesterday and while Lou was in the shower he came into my room. He apologized again but this one felt a little more sincere and I accepted it and then… I kissed him.” I stopped seeing Casey’s mouth drop. “Did he kiss back?” She whispered. “Yes, he actually made more intense, and Louis almost caught us.” I answered. “So are you two dating? Because if you are that means that we could go on double dates!” She said happily. I rolled my eyes “No we aren’t, I just had a desire to kiss him so I did.” I added. “Liz, you have that boy wrapped around your finger,” She chuckled. “ He would do anything you asked.” I rolled my eyes once more and looked down at my lap.

Casey stayed till lunch then left, leaving me with this awkward term of a family. I sat myself down in my favorite chair in the living room and plugged in my earphones to tune out anyone in this household. “Liz, we need to talk.” I heard Louis say over my earphones. I pulled one of them out waiting for him to continue.  He sat on the couch next to me and began to talk. “Liz, I know that we are the same age and stuff, and that we are future step-siblings but uh… I just was thinking that, uh maybe you should, uh stop hanging around my friends.” He said without any eye contact to me. “What?” I asked. “Ugh, Liz all you do is hang out with me and my friends. Why can’t you hang out with yours?”  I was in shock; I’ve never heard him speak to me that way. “I can be friends with whoever I want to, Louis. I don’t need to be told who I should or shouldn’t be friends with.” My voice started to rise as I stood up from the chair. “Liz, there is no need to get mad,” His face lit with a little aggravation as I scoffed. “You just need to understand that I spend way too much time with you at home and now when I’m with my friends all I hear is about you! The last time I had a real conversation with them was before our parents told us about their wedding.” He said softer. He finally looked into my eyes, his were darker than usual. “Louis, they are my friends too. I can’t just leave them, but if it will make you feel better, then I guess I will not spend so much time with them… or you.” I stated as I went up the stairs to my room. “Liz, wait that’s not what I meant!” Louis shouted back at me.
