Demonic Love

Violet and Audrey's parents died in a car crash a few months ago. This is their story.

15. The Begining

~~ Logan's P. O. V. ~~
The sun was shining, and the birds were singing. Stupid birds. Stupid sun. Stupid stupid stupid. I got out of bed, tripping over, and faceplanting. Stupid blanket. I stumbled into the kitchen, holding my head. I had some asprin, and boiled the kettle to make a coffee. After I made my coffee, I walked into the lounge room, and sat on my couch. I was about to sip my coffee when my phone rang. Tragic Magic by Falling in Reverse started playing.
"Hello?" I say into the phone, more of a question than a statement.
"Logan? Oh thank God. Didn't you get my texts?! Where are you?! Your parents have been so worried!! And do you know what tonight is?! Where are you, Logan!!" I recognise the voice almost instantly. Rose. Rose Dearly. My girlfriend back home. I completely forgot. With everything going on with Violet and the fire. I didn't tell my parents where I went. They wouldn't want me to come back.
"Yes! Logan, where are you?!"
"I-I'm back in New York. Why are you calling?!"
"What?! Why did you go back there?! You parents are freaking out. They don't know where you are! You have to come back!"
"No. Rose, I'm staying here. Violet needs me."
"Well, I'm coming too then. I don't like the idea of you being in New York. You know how dangerous it is now."
Rose was talking about the old werewolf pack in New York. We had a massive fight, the alpha and I, and now the whole pack hates my family. That's why we left New York. But now I'm back, and if the alpha doesn't like it, too bad. I'm here for Violet.
Rose is a human, but she knows our secret, and she promised to keep it.
"Okay Rosie."
"I'll see you soon. It's only an 8 hour drive from Ohio to New York. I love you."
"Bye Rose. See you soon. I love you too." Even if I say that, I'm not sure if I mean it.
She hung up, and I was left to comtemplate what she was talking about. Tonight? Oh shit. I ran to the calendar on my kitchen door, and checked the date.
Oh crap. Oh crap. Oh crap.
I grabbed my phone, running into my room, and changing. Once I looked decent, dressed in black jeans, and white printed t-shirt and my leather jacket with my black high top converse, I ran out my apartment, calling Violet.

~~ Mia's P. O. V. ~~
Raven, Violet and I are sitting in her room, chilling. We had a massive sleepover last night, because Violet was upset about the funeral a few days ago. We were chatting about everything and anything, until Raven asked the question everyone had been thinking of.
"Do you like Jace or Logan?"
Violet was taken aback by this sudden question, and I could tell from her thoughts she was confused. "I-I... I don't know. I mean, I've just been so consumed by Audrey's death, I haven't really thought about it.." She trailed off.
"It's okay, we understand." I cut in, before Raven can make things much worse.
She gave me a small smile, and was about to say something, but was cut off by her phone blasting My Immortal by Evanescence.
"Yellow? What?! You're kidding me.. Tonight?! Oh my fucking God! Don't tell me to calm down!! Just hurry up and get here now!" She yelled, before throwing her phone on her bed. Jace and Ash ran in, probably hearing the screaming.
"Vi, what's wrong?" Jace asked, engulfing her in a hug.
"Do you know what tonight is?"
"Two and a half weeks since we met?" Jace asked, confused.
"No! It's a full moon! And I'm a werewolf!"
"Oh.. What's so bad about that? I know werewolves are hard to control, but, not meaning to brag, I am an Angel. I think I can handle a werewolf."
"I'm not the only werewolf, Jace. You're forgetting Logan. And there's a werewolf pack near here. The alpha male is actually a good friend of mine, but he and Logan don't see eye to eye, so there might be a bit of fighting. Have fun with that, tough guy."
"Violet, nothing bad will happen." Jace quickly hugged her again, and then Ash, Raven and I hugged her too.
Ding dong. Ding dong. Ding dong.
Somebody was impatiently ringing the doorbell. "I'll get it," Violet shot up out off of her bed. I heard a muffled conversation, and could feel the worrying emotion surrounding both people at the door. Violet and Logan walked into her room, and Violet took her place on the bed next to me and Raven, Logan sat on the floor, next to Ash. Jace, however, was standing in the doorway, looking unimpressed.
"So, it's a full moon, and I have to protect the city from two werewolves? Easy," Jace said, before starting to walk back into the living room.
"Not exactly." Logan stood up. Jace stuck his head back inside the door.
"How so?"
Logan explained to all of us why he had to move. The alpha male of the New York City werewolf pack had his eyes on Violet, and Logan didn't like it. The leader, Nicky, didn't treat women right. He was a player, with connections in every werewolf pack in the USA, just about. If he didn't like you, you'd have to move out of that state immediately. Even out of the country, if possible. Nicky would flirt endlessly with Violet, but she just told him to leave her alone. He didn't. One night, he followed her home from the Library, after school, and tried to kidnap her. He would have, if it weren't for Logan. Logan and Nicky got into a massive fight, and Logan was kicked out of the pack. Violet left the pack shortly after, and Logan's parents thought it would be better if they moved away, so they went to Ohio, one of the few states where Nicky didn't have connections in.
"Well, we're gonna have fun tonight, aren't we, guys?" Raven piped up, sarcastically.
"Tell me about it." I reply dryly.
"It's not our fault!" Violet and Logan yell.
Jace sighed, walking out of the room, and sitting in the living room. From his emotions, I could feel he was angry, upset and confused.
