10. Don't ask if I'm okay, I don't have the answer.

(AUTHOR'S NOTE: I'm sorry the last chapter kind of dragged on, I needed to fill in the background info on what has happened. I decided to make the story go in a different direction. I also decided to let my few months of the lack of updating play along in the story, so that the time that had passed actually passed in the story too lol. I'm really sorry again for not updating. But I'm working on it now. Thank you for reading! -Katie)

LEAH'S POV:

I took a second to calm down, and I sat across the room from him. "I really can't be doing this right now Zayn. Why are you here? I don't get it." I softly said. The tears kept streaming down my face. "I miss you." he repeated. I ignored him, he was drunk, how did I know if he wasn't just saying random shit because he was drunk? I had the choice to one of two things. I could either kick him out and let the paparazzi go crazy with pictures of him drunk, causing horrible rumors & unnecessary drama, or I could be a nice person and make him stay until the morning when he's sobered up. Why did he force me to make this decision...

The logical, nice, caring person in me made me feel like I had to let him stay. As much as it was gonna bother me, I wasn't going to let him ruin his career over my bitter emotions. "You need to get some rest." I finally said. I handed him another blanket and propped my couch cushion up as a pillow. "We'll talk in the morning." I continued. I started to walk towards my bedroom when I heard a knock on the door. Honestly, who else could be at my door at this time of night? I sighed, walking towards the door. "Zayn? Zayn! Are you in there?" a female voice called out. "What is she doing here?! Get rid of her please Leah I'm begging you!" Zayn whisper-yelled. "Who is that?" I asked, clearly confused. "Perrie." he replied mono-toned. My heart sank. Hearing about them bothered me, but now that I'm witnessing them in person just makes it a whole lot worse. It finally truly sunk in. Zayn was with Perrie now.

ZAYN'S POV:

How the hell did Perrie find me? I was trying to get away from her. We went out with some of her friends that live here in Atlanta, and I finally reached my breaking point. She honestly drove me insane. The only reason I gave her another chance is because I thought I truly loved her. I guess I was just blinded. I've seen the real her now, & I hate the real her. Every day that I've been apart from Leah has been hell. Perrie is really obnoxious, and we have completely different personalities. She's cocky and conceited. She thinks everyone needs to serve her like a queen, and that everyone besides her is below her in some way. I need a humble girl who is down to earth and genuinely sweet, Someone I can just have fun with and live the rollercoaster that is life. There's no way Leah would forgive me and take me back though. What was I thinking coming over here? Especially messed up like this. I know I caused her pain, & I felt terrible for that. There are just those moments in life you wish you could take back, and that was one of them.

PERRIE'S POV:

I don't understand what has gotten into Zayn. He seems so distant. Before, when I wanted to visit friends in Atlanta, he never wanted to come, and suddenly he couldn't wait to. Was I missing something? What's in Atlanta that Zayn is so passionate about? I just don't get it.

I had been trying to find him for two hours now. I was racing everywhere I could, asking strangers if they had seen him. I couldn't catch up. We were at a restaurant where he was silent the entire time. Suddenly he darted out the door. I was so embarrassed, everyone stared as if he caused a scene, and my friends were in shock at how rude he was.

Someone saw him run into this apartment building after he got out of a taxi, and a group of teens saw him run into apartment #193. I rushed to the door and immediately knocked on it. "Zayn? Zayn! Are you in there?" I called out. "Who is it?" a voice replied. "Sorry to bother you, Is Zayn in there?" I asked. "I have no idea who that is, do you realize what time it is? Fuck off." a female voice shouted back. Well then... what a bitch. I decided to give up my search until the morning. I'm not going to lose sleep over some asshole who lost his mind.

LEAH'S POV:

I actually just lied to Perrie. What am I doing, I should've let her take him! Ughh I'm so dumb. And the fact that I can lie without hesitation sometimes scares me. It just came out like word vomit. He had a satisfied smirk painted on his face. I glared rudely back, and went straight to my bed.
