9. Morning Texts

I woke up lying in my bed.  How on earth did I get here?  Was I dreaming everything last night?  I looked over at my phone on the charger and realized that I wasn’t.  Everything that happened yesterday was real.  I smiled to myself reading Nick's text message.

“Good morning, beautiful.  Text me when you are awake.

Love, Nick <3”

I texted him back immediately.

“Good morning, Nick! I’m awake now so how was your drive to Florida?”

I sent it.  Addie and I were still big fans, so we knew exactly where they would be.  In fact, they only had 5 more shows after the one last night.  That excited me even more because they could visit us afterwards.

Speaking of Addie, I looked down next to my bed and saw her sleeping on the mat next to my dog.  I saw her phone go off and checked to see who texted her.  As I leaned over, Addie woke up and rubbed her eyes.

“Good morning, sleepy head!” I said a little bit too loud.

She stuffed her face in her pillow and groaned.  I laughed a little and stretched out over my bed.

She gasped as she looked at her phone.  I looked over and she had the biggest grin on her face.

“Look who texted me back!” she yelled throwing her phone at me.

I smiled as I saw Joe’s name on it.  I squealed and threw it back to her.

“Are you gonna text him back?  He sounds like he is waiting for you to wake up!”

She gave me a face that looked like “Duh!”

I laughed as she started speed texting him back.  She pressed the send button and grinned.

“Nick texted me this morning too,” I said to her.

BEEP! My phone lit up again.

“Good morning! My ride was pretty good.  Did you make it back to Huntsville ok?” The text read.

I replied back with Addie hanging over my shoulder to see.

“Well that’s good! Yes we made it back fine. So what time do you have rehearsals today for the show?”

I sent it and immediately got a message back. Addie looked up at me.

“Wow he sounds more desperate than I do!” she laughed.

I rolled my eyes and opened the text.

“That’s good I’m glad you made it back alright. And speaking of rehearsals, we have to go now. I’ll ttyl! <3 ya”

I smiled and texted back, “Have fun! Love ya too!”

Addie kept texting Joe and he finally told her he had to go too.

We got up from bed and went to go eat some breakfast.

“I wonder how long Nick and I will last,” I thought.  I shrugged my shoulders.  I think a while.
