2. Luck at the Venue

*2 hours of driving later*

“Hey dad? Should I tell her!” I yelled to him.

“You might as well since we are just about here!” he yelled back.

Addie gave us a confused look. I turned down the volume.

“OMYGOSH! Leah!! Thank you, thank you!” Addie screamed, squeezing me tight.

“Ooh ooh oooh! There it is! There it is!!! Daddy! Take this exit!!”  I yelled being a backseat driver, holding his iPhone for directions.

“Ok ok. Calm down girls!” he said as Addie and I started squealing.

There was a lot of traffic because of the concert.  So many people and just the two of us didn't feel like a big deal, but I did have meet and greet passes so I wasn't too worried.  Yes.  I had meet and greet passes for after the show, and floor seats.  Not front row but close enough for me!

We had to park the car near the back because it was so dang crowded.  I grabbed my camera from the trunk and put it around my neck. Addie gave me my Jonas Brothers album CD and she clung to her It’s About Time CD.  We were planning to get these signed by them.  I handed her the lanyard for our meet and greet, smiling as she put it around her neck.

At the venue, it was crowded waiting for the doors to open to take our seats.

“I’m gonna go get t-shirts for you two.  What kind do you want?” my dad asked as he pushed closer to us.

Addie and I stared at each other and smiled.

“The black tour shirt!” we said together, laughing.

“Ok I’ll be back soon.  Here are your tickets.  Stay together! Ok?” he said being pushed forward by an obnoxious mom.

“Yes sir!” We said. “Jinx!” We said again.

We started making our way to the front of the line.  Being pushed and shoved by random people, we finally just stopped moving.

After a while, the famous Jonas Brother tour bus came rolling underneath us.  The whole crowded screamed, jumping up and down, some even crying and sobbing.

I saw Addie screaming, so I decided to join in the fun.

Then, the doors flew open.  I caught a glimpse of the officers unlocking the doors and I grabbed Addie’s hand, running to the front of the line as the other girls were distracted by the bus.  We reached to the front and handed the guards our tickets, grinning from ear to ear.  They raised their eyebrows and laughed. The guards took our ticket stubs and let us through.  Arms linked, we skipped to the arena.  I looked at our tickets to find our seats.  I knew we were on the floor but I didn’t know where.

“That way!” I pointed towards the sign that said “Floor Seats 30-39”.

I squealed and grabbed her hand, running to the doors.  We went down the steps and ran to the chairs on the ground.  I found our seats, right of the middle catwalk, and sat down.

“Hey, can I put your purse on this seat for my dad?” I said to Addie.

She grabbed her bag off the ground and I stuck it on the seat next to me. I'm getting more and more excited already!
