I Finally Found You (Completed)

Today, my name is Olivia Moore. But, it used to be Erin Parker. I had grown up with a normal life in Holmes Chapel, England. I had two of the best parents a child could have. Though I didn’t have any siblings, I had a best friend, Harry.

But, that all changed two years ago. Why? Because I died...or at least that’s what everyone thought. They all thought that I was in a car explosion when I was 16, when someone had planted a car bomb. My friends, family, and anyone I had ever known lost me.

But in reality, none of that happened. Yes, I lost the people around me, but that was because I went into hiding. Three days before I “died,” I saw something that I shouldn't have, so my life was in danger. I didn't really have very much time to say goodbye to everyone I loved. The fact that they didn't know what really happened kills me, they all think I’m dead, that I’m never going to come back. Until now.

60. Epilogue

Harry said he'd bring me back, and that's exactly what he did. I wasn’t really sure on how he did it though. But now I was able to go home.

Be with my family.

Revisit places I went when I was younger.

Walk out in public and never worry about people watching.

Create new memories with my homeland.

Say that my name is Erin, not Olivia or Delilah.

People could now understand me, know what I had gone through. They could know that I was alive. They could know how much I had missed them in a span of almost two and a half years.

But now I could hold his hand in public, let everyone know that I was his girlfriend. I was the mystery girl that he worked so hard to protect. I was the girl that he left Australia for. I was the reason why he had an enormous cut on his neck. (Which I have told him I was sorry for, but he won't listen)

Harry had told me what went down in New York just weeks ago, how he had been attacked by the killer. His name was James Harris. He was fired from Syco Records in 2008, when it was suspected that he had been stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars from the company, but it was only suspected. On top of that, he was known for how violent he was. He had a wife and a daughter, but they had died in 2007 in a car accident. I wish I could feel bad for him, but it was hard to after I heard he had killed thirteen people.

I heard that he had survived the gun shot he had taken to the chest. Harry says he wished he would've died, so he could be done killing others. He had hurt enough people.

Louis, Liam, Zayn, and Niall came over just hours after Harry found me sitting in his living room, smiling like an idiot. They gave me a massive hug, telling me for how thankful they were that I was home and safe, this way "Harry could stop mopping around and bothering them all of the time." At least, that's what Louis said, of course laughing while saying it.

They said that I needed to go to the Caribbean as soon as possible. I had forgotten about the tickets, but Harry and I figured it would be best to use them to get away, which was the last thing on my mind right now.

They also commented on my shorter hair, which was about ten centimeters below my shoulders, which was much shorter than the last time they had seen it. I had dyed it back to brown before I came, ridding it of the blonde that never really fit me. But I liked the tan skin I had obtained, so I was happy to keep that.

Zayn, Louis, and Liam promised to bring their girlfriends over at some point, so I could meet all of them. They talked about how excited they were to meet me, which was confusing, because I was just...me: nothing special, just ordinary.

I was planning on going home, with Harry, to Holmes Chapel next week. I had to finish up with all of the interviews and meetings I had to attend for the police first.

I called my parents, and I can't even describe how many emotions we went through. It all was just tears and tears and tears. They insisted on coming down to see me, but I told them to just wait, because I would still be alive next week, ready to come home.

Harry had told me about how people knew I was alive from the magazine covers we had landed on. But some people were skeptical on my lively hood, thinking that it couldn't have been me with Harry. So I couldn't wait to see the look on people's faces when I would walk around in Holmes Chapel next week, which was one of the first things that I wanted to do.

The agency had talked to my university in New York, and arranged for me to receive full credit for the year, though I had missed the last month of it and finals. I wasn't sure if I was going to go back there or start up in London. Mia was in New York, but Harry and my family were here.

I called Mia, and we both cried over the phone. She told me about how Harry explained so much to her and how she still had all of my things sitting in the flat, just where I had left them. Even the stupid stars still sat on the ceiling because she, just like everyone else, was much too lazy to peel them off. But she liked them, it made her feel like she was outdoors in the wilderness, I guess?

I stretched out in Harry's bed, where we had both slept for the night. I rested my head on his chest, "Harrrrry, I'm hungry."

He chuckled, "You want me to go make you something?" he said, combing his fingers through my hair.

"Yes please."

He got out of bed, finding some joggers to slip into inside one of his drawers, "Right, you go get ready then, Eleanor and Louis should be here in an hour to take you shopping."

I was excited about that, ready to meet Louis's girlfriend. My wardrobe had dropped drastically, me only being left with what I had in Peru, which consisted of mainly shorts and tank tops. Harry and Louis were coming with us, ready to distract and fans or paps so we could shop all we wanted.

I showered and later dried and straightened my hair. Lucky for me, I still had a straightener packed with me. After slipping on the one pair of skinny jeans that I owned along with a flowy tank-top, I stepped out to smell bacon.

I walked up behind Harry, wrapping my arms to his chest, "I didn't even hear you come behind me," he murmured.

"Good." I noticed the time, realizing how soon Eleanor and Louis were going to be here, "I'll finish the bacon, you go get ready."

He turned to me, spatula in hand, "You promise you won't burn it like the french toast?”

I remembered the last time I had made breakfast with him around, ruining it completely, "Ha ha, very funny. I solemnly swear to make this into perfect bacon."

He kissed my cheek before leaving, "Good; the eggs are still sitting in the pan to keep warm."

I hummed to myself, finishing up the food. I eventually found a built in radio next to one of the cupboards, knowing that my hums weren't doing it. I turned it on, realizing that I had no idea what the radio stations were anymore. But once I found one, I let it quietly play in the background as I found some plates.

Harry came walking out of his room, coming down the stairs from the loft area. He sang to the words of the song, very loudly I might add, not caring what he sounded like, "We are young! So let's set the world on fire! We can burn brighter! Than the suuuuun!" He switched back to his talking voice, "Good song, right?"

"Yeah, but who sings this?" I asked, handing him a plate to dish up with.

"Fun. Haven't you heard this song? It's been on for ages."

"Fun? That's the name? And no, I've only heard Spanish songs all summer."

He laughed, "Ha! Loser."

"Hey!" I complained, "It's not my fault!"

Just then, I heard a familiar laugh, "Erin! Oh, hey Harry."

"I just changed my locks last week, how'd you get a key?" Harry asked, whirling around to see his best friend walking over to us with his girlfriend.

"It's called I-found-one-so-I-took-it-for-safe-keeping, haven't you heard of that? I seriously thought you would actually learn by now" Louis grinned. He turned his gaze to me and gave a hug, "Erin! How've ya been? This is my girlfriend, Eleanor."

The brunette girl with long wavy hair stepped forward, hugging me right away, though I had just met her, "Hi Erin! I'm so glad you're back so Harry can stop moping around all of the time," she giggled. Her voice was very charming and sweet, also very welcoming.

I laughed along with her, "That is exactly what Louis said yesterday too." I turned my head to Harry, "Have you been bothering these two way too often Harold?"

He smiled, "Just keeping them from getting tired of each other I guess."

Eleanor and Louis didn't eat with us, already having breakfast themselves. But when we were done, I dug my purse out of my suitcase and we headed out. We took Louis's Range Rover, not sure where we going to shop at. I still had my $200 H&M gift card from my birthday, so we would go there eventually.

I was worried about running into anyone, not the fans as much, mostly the paps. Fortunately, everyone assured me that I would be fine, and I believed them.

This was my life now. I was dating a celebrity publicly, not worrying about hiding from cameras or people as much anymore. Would the fans like me? Would they take me in with open arms into the One Direction family? Or would I get loads of hate from them? Eleanor explained how it was normal to get hate, everyone did. People were just haters.

I was ready to start my life over again, starting fresh and being able to go back home and see everyone.

Harry had saved me. If it wasn't for him, I probably would still be back in America, ready to go to class. Before, I was very apprehensive about seeing him in New York for the first time. But everything had worked out in the end, almost exactly how I wanted it to be.

Maybe it was fate that brought us back together. In a city that big, what were the chances of being on the same street corner at the same time? He had found me after years of separation that way, but stayed together out of love.

I loved him, and I never wanted to let go of that feeling.
