I Finally Found You (Completed)

Today, my name is Olivia Moore. But, it used to be Erin Parker. I had grown up with a normal life in Holmes Chapel, England. I had two of the best parents a child could have. Though I didn’t have any siblings, I had a best friend, Harry.

But, that all changed two years ago. Why? Because I died...or at least that’s what everyone thought. They all thought that I was in a car explosion when I was 16, when someone had planted a car bomb. My friends, family, and anyone I had ever known lost me.

But in reality, none of that happened. Yes, I lost the people around me, but that was because I went into hiding. Three days before I “died,” I saw something that I shouldn't have, so my life was in danger. I didn't really have very much time to say goodbye to everyone I loved. The fact that they didn't know what really happened kills me, they all think I’m dead, that I’m never going to come back. Until now.

49. Chapter 48

-Harry-

I wasn't sure how long it had been since Liam talked to Emma. But the boys had left me alone, like I had asked them to. If Erin was going to call, I wanted to be by myself to explain. And if she didn't, I didn't want to be around anyone.

If Emma was lying when she said she'd call...

I don't know what I would do. It would change entirely how I looked at her as a person and honestly, I don't think I would ever forgive her for it. Erin meant everything to me.

My phone was sitting in my hand as I sat in my room. I was hunched over on one of the couches, staring at it, wondering if it would ever light up. And it was quiet. I didn't have the TV going so the only thing you could hear was when people would walk by in the hallway outside my door.

I gripped onto my chain that was hanging around my neck with one of my hands, tracing my fingers over the familiar design of the star figure. It actually fit perfectly into the follow space on the back of Erin’s locket, matching up like puzzle pieces.

My phone buzzed, making me almost jump from my seat and feel excited. But I frowned when I saw that it was only a text from Louis.

From: Louis

Anything?

I groaned. There had been nothing at all. Nothing except for a blank phone screen for who knows how long. I thought about calling Erin, but I decided that if she wanted to forgive me, she would call herself.

Then it happened. It vibration in my hand, coming from my phone. It lit up, with the word "Errrrrrrin" at the top.

I didn't even hesitate. I quickly pressed on the accept button, "Erin…?" I asked quietly.

"Hi," she said, and I could tell she had been crying.

"Erin, it's not what it looked like. I would never-" I started, trying to get as many words out as possible to explain myself.

"Harry, stop, please. Emma Ostilly called me," she said with urgency.

"Oh thank god," I breathed.

"That...that's how it happened? Right?" she asked softly.

"Yes, love. I only walked her to her door to be nice, but she took the whole thing wrongly. I feel so bad." I croaked out.

"It's partly my fault too, Harry. I couldn't find my phone all day, and I was going to answer your calls either..." she said, "This is all just so messed up. I know you were faithful. I love you."

Those three words made me feel a million times better, the fact that she still loved me after everything that had happened, "I love you too Ehr Bear."

"I...I just miss you so much," she said, but I could tell that there was a hint of crying, even though she was trying to hide it while she spoke.

"I know, I miss you too. The moment I have free time, I'll fly out to see you. I promise."

"First, go home for awhile. I bet your mum needs more of you than I do," she said, laughing quietly.

"I think she can wait."

"Oh shoot," she gasped.

"What is it?" I asked her.

"I have to meet up with Jonathan in a half hour. He wants to for my birthday."

"Oh, go on then. I'll talk to you later babe, don't worry."

She sighed, "Okay. Bye, Harry. Love you."

I smiled, "I love you too."

We hung up simultaneously with me running my fingers through my hair.

I was relieved that Erin understood and believed the truth. I was hoping things would be back to normal now. Except, I was planning on doing one thing.

The boys and I would have five days off, starting on Monday. That would give me three days with Erin. I wanted to fly out and see her. After all of the drama that had happened, it was needed. I wanted things to be better than normal.

After some searching, I found Zayn, Louis, Niall, and Liam playing video games in Niall's room. Apparently, the Xbox would make Niall feel better. They stopped the game when they saw me enter the room, all of them giving me worried faces.

"So?" Zayn asked.

"She called," I said, resulting in all of them letting out their breaths in relief.

"Wait, is everything alright between you two?" Louis asked.

I nodded my head, "Yeah, but I need to see her."

"Oh, you want to go see her during our days off?" Liam suggested.

"Exactly," I confirmed.

Niall bit his lip, "But do you really want to spend half of your time flying?"

"Yeah, plus, you're going to have to deal with jet lag," Zayn added.

"I know. But I figured that it's for the best," I responded.

"You're going to have to talk to Paul right away if you want to go," Louis said.

"I should go now, shouldn't I?" I asked.

"Yeah, go," Liam said, "Wait, do you want us to go with you?"

I shook my head, "No, I think I got it."

I started to leave the room, to leave them to go back to their game, "He thinks," Louis said quietly, but I could hear him. I rolled my eyes.

I was worried about what Paul would think. I had explained to him my situation with Emma this morning. He had been looking at me, with a face that seemed to be judging me. Paul was like another dad to me and the lads, so it was right of him to question our actions sometimes. But the good thing was he understood now, so that would be in my favor for when I was going to ask him about leaving the country.

I knocked on his door. He opened, wearing jean trousers and a black polo, "Oh, hello Harry."

"Can I talk to you?" I asked him.

He grinned, "Yeah sure. Come in."

I walked into the room that was identical to mine, except his was much neater, "You know how I can be responsible for my age?"

"Sure?" he responded with a confused look.

"And I'm always on time. For everything," I continued.

"Uh huh?"

"And we're going to have five days off..."

Paul sighed, "Where is this going, Harry?"

"I want to fly out to New York to see Olivia," I said, even though it came out almost as a question.

Paul looked at me with a face full of pity, "I don't know Harry. You would spend half of your time traveling and the paps would have field day on why you're leaving all of a sudden."

"Come on Paul-" I started.

But I was interrupted when all of the boys came in. They must've been listening the entire time, "Yeah come on Paul!" they chorused together.

"I told you guys that I had this," I groaned.

"Correction! You said that you thought you had this," Louis grinned.

I rolled my eyes as Zayn continued, "Just let him go Pauly. After everything he and Olivia have gone through today, they should reunite."

"Plus, you won't have to listen to Harry's moaning all week," Niall said.

Paul bit his lip, contemplating on whether or not I should be allowed to leave. "Please Paul, I'll be back on time," I pleaded.

He huffed his breath, "You better book a ticket now.

Everyone gave some "woots" as Paul walked over to the desk to grab his laptop. We surrounded him, watching him pull up a website to purchase tickets.

"I'm assuming you don't care how much a ticket costs?" Paul asked.

I nodded to reassure him as he searched for a plane seat. After I had paid for one, I thanked him and went to my room to start packing. I wouldn't be telling Erin about my trip, I wanted to surprise her. It would be a nice one too.

I would be leaving on Monday at one o'clock in the morning. Though it was going to be a twenty four hour flight, I was going to get to New York around ten in the morning because of the time change. I couldn't wait to see the look on Erin's face when she saw me.
