I Finally Found You (Completed)

Today, my name is Olivia Moore. But, it used to be Erin Parker. I had grown up with a normal life in Holmes Chapel, England. I had two of the best parents a child could have. Though I didn’t have any siblings, I had a best friend, Harry.

But, that all changed two years ago. Why? Because I died...or at least that’s what everyone thought. They all thought that I was in a car explosion when I was 16, when someone had planted a car bomb. My friends, family, and anyone I had ever known lost me.

But in reality, none of that happened. Yes, I lost the people around me, but that was because I went into hiding. Three days before I “died,” I saw something that I shouldn't have, so my life was in danger. I didn't really have very much time to say goodbye to everyone I loved. The fact that they didn't know what really happened kills me, they all think I’m dead, that I’m never going to come back. Until now.

44. Chapter 43

"Who's taken out of you five?" Gregory, our interviewer asked. He was probably in his forties with just the edges of hair starting to turn from black into a grey.

Louis and Liam raised their hands, showing off their girlfriends as I felt a pinch in my back that came from Zayn. It caused me to jump, leading me to shoot him a small glare.

"What are their names?" the man asked, looking to Louis and Liam who were ready with their answers.

I wished so badly that I could talk about my girlfriend. “Her name is Erin and she's absolutely amazing. I've known her forever and she probably knows everything about me, mostly because I can tell her anything. She loves photography, reading, breakfast food, video games, stars, and making me crazy about her. She has a mole on her back that looks like a heart, her freckles were much more prominent when she was younger, she broke her arm when she was eight after tripping over my neighbor's dog, and she constantly seems to fret with her hair when's she nervous. I feel like witnessing a murder and having to go into hiding has broken her a little, but not her spirit. Somehow, she gets through it. She was my first crush and I love her to bits." But I never said any of that, I couldn’t. But I wanted to so much. I wanted the world to know how fantastic she was, but they would have to wait.

Once Louis and Liam each gave a brief description of Eleanor and Danielle, the interview went onto the topic of what our schedule was like, "It's really good actually," I said, "We are always busy but, for us, we massively enjoy it."

We had been constantly busy ever since we got here. Hotel, rehearsals, break, interviews, meet and greet, break, concert, hotel, and it would start all over again. It was a cycle, but I loved my job, so it never bothered me.

"Awesome meeting you boys. Hopefully you enjoy the rest of your trip in Australia."

"Thank you," we all said in response.

We all stood up and walked down the stairs of the bleachers where we had taken our interview one at a time. I was surprised that I didn't fall over when Louis had decided to push Liam to create a domino effect. Luckily, Sam had been there to steady me.

"Louis is going to end up hurting all of you one of these days," he chuckled in his Irish accent.

"Yeah, thanks Sam," I said.

I walked over to the rest of the boys that were all talking in a circle. Liam's head popped up when he saw me, "Harry!"

"Did you fall over like Niall did? Or were you lucky enough to survive Louis's wonderful shove?" Zayn asked when I came to stand next to them.

I looked to Niall, who didn't seem hurt at all. He was smiling like the rest of the boys so I assumed that it wasn't a very serious fall.

"Sam caught me, so it's all good.”

"So, what are you doing for Erin today?" Liam asked. It was technically Erin's birthday right now, but Australia happened to be sixteen hours ahead of New York. So in just under an hour, it was going to be her birthday.

"Well I'm going to Skype her-"

"But you do that every day anyway," Louis stated.

"Let me finish! I also bought her flowers, cupcakes, and a $200 gift card for H&M which will all be delivered to her house tomorrow later today...or tomorrow...or…"

"The time change is messing you up?" Niall asked, fixing his snap-back.

I nodded, "It is. Anyway, I also bought her that locket."

"I'm proud of you Harry. Remember when we told you that you had to woo her once upon a time?" Louis asked.

I chuckled because of how I was remembering everything. I was confused on how I felt for Erin, because she wasn't exactly emoting the same feelings as I was. I had wanted to kiss her, but I was rejected.

"And we were right," Zayn said, wiggling his eyebrows and he high-fived Louis.

"Are you planning on Skyping tonight?" Niall asked, changing the subject.

"Yeah, so we need to get going."

"Happy birthday!" Mia, Trevor, Laurel, and Kylie, exclaimed, followed by them blowing into their kazoos.

I blew out the candles on my homemade cake that Laurel and Kylie had attempted to make a couple hours before. Of course, not even on purpose, one candle was left lit.

"Erin has a boyfriend? Oooooo...." Mia said sarcastically.

I laughed, "What are we, five?"

"Yeah, and what are you trying to say about our relationship?" Trevor asked her while crossing his arms.

Mia poked his side, "That we are just awesome!"

We sat around eating our chocolate cake. Though it wasn't as good as the one Harry's friends had brought me, it was still amazing.

Trevor had tagged along with Mia for my birthday because he was not only her boyfriend, he was also my friend. I had actually introduced them because I had a class with Trevor and I thought they would be great together. I also thought Mia would think Trevor was absolutely fit, with his shaggy brown hair that almost covered his brown eyes.

But everyone had to leave eventually, of course, after I opened all of my presents. Mia, Laurel, and Kylie had each bought me different clothes and accessories, while Trevor bought me a video game that I was dying to try out. Nothing special, just another Mario themed one.

Harry was supposed to be Skyping me soon, but he had told me to be patient because of his schedule and everything. It was alright if I had to stay up until one or something. I was more of a night person and I only had afternoon classes tomorrow.

"You better hurry up and get to your bedroom for your Skyping session," Mia informed me as she threw away the wrapping paper.

"I'm getting there.”

"Slowly but surely?"

"Always," I laughed.

"I called him last week," Mia said.

"Really? Why?"

She smiled a content grin, "To tell him not to break your heart. I was getting tired of your non-stop crying, no offense."

"Thanks Mia," I said, rolling my eyes as I stepped inside my bedroom. I searched for where I had used my laptop last. I found it on my desk, pulling up a chair and waited for the indication that he would be on. When he was, the screen turned so that my view was of him.

"Harold!" I exclaimed.

"Happy birthday Erin!" he said through the computer screen. It was always strange Skyping with people, because they were right in front of you, yet they weren't.

"Thanks," I said, "So Mia called you?"

He smiled, but it was a smile that showed that he wasn't sure what to make of the call, "Yeah, but I didn't get to say anything to her."

"Why not?"

"The call literally lasted for five seconds before she hung up. She said ‘Don’t break her heart,’ and the call ended," he shrugged.

"I thought she meant she had an actual conversation with you, but wow," I said.

He changed the subject, "Guess what I got you for your birthday besides you locket," he sang.

"Tell me."

"I can't. You have to wait until later today to find out," he grinned.

"You're making me wait? Ugh, how dare you."

Classes had seemed extra long today, probably because it was my birthday. I trudged over to my front door to unlock it.

Last night, I had spent a long time talking to Harry. I wasn't sure if talking to him made our relationship better or harder. Because, every time we talked, I longed to be near him.

But he had informed me that I would be getting presents all day long. This morning, I received flowers from him. Not roses, because he knew how cliche I found them, but lilies, my favorite. They were now sitting inside of a vase on the island in the kitchen.

In the end, he had to go do more interviews before he could go have the night off. But he promised that he would Skype me again today.

I walked in to the smell of freshly made chocolate chip cookies that were on the kitchen counter. After picking one up to eat, I turned to see Mia on the couch with her laptop.  I took a bite of my warm cookie, seeing how good it tasted.

I saw she had he hand up to her mouth and her eyebrows were furrowed, like she was upset about something. I walked up to her quietly, because when she was upset, she was upset.

I found out what was wrong when I saw her computer screen. I don't think she knew that I was behind her until I gasped, because I bet she would've told me herself instead of me seeing everything like this.
