I Finally Found You (Completed)

Today, my name is Olivia Moore. But, it used to be Erin Parker. I had grown up with a normal life in Holmes Chapel, England. I had two of the best parents a child could have. Though I didn’t have any siblings, I had a best friend, Harry.

But, that all changed two years ago. Why? Because I died...or at least that’s what everyone thought. They all thought that I was in a car explosion when I was 16, when someone had planted a car bomb. My friends, family, and anyone I had ever known lost me.

But in reality, none of that happened. Yes, I lost the people around me, but that was because I went into hiding. Three days before I “died,” I saw something that I shouldn't have, so my life was in danger. I didn't really have very much time to say goodbye to everyone I loved. The fact that they didn't know what really happened kills me, they all think I’m dead, that I’m never going to come back. Until now.

15. Chapter 14

Mia couldn't know that I was here. Erin and I could hear her fumbling with her keys because she must've inserted the wrong one before.

"Erin, what do I do?" I asked.

She stood up and grabbed my arm, quickly steering me over to her room as Mia started to open the door, "Stay here," she whispered before she left.

I stood next to the door and listened in on their conversation. It turned out that Mia was leaving but she had to come back to grab her subway pass that she accidentally left here. They talked some more, but I turned away to look at Erin's room.

Her walls were plain white, probably because she was renting the place. On the walls, I noticed that she didn't have any pictures of anyone on her walls like she used to back home. Now it was just photography of the city which I'm assuming she took herself. I knew that one of Erin's favorite hobbies used to be just taking pictures of random things, and they always turned out brilliant.

I looked up at her ceiling and saw little stars covering it. Now, they weren't just put up randomly. I could tell that they were put up as constellations, even though could still only point out Orion's Belt that was hovering above her bed.

I went over to her window and closed her thick, dark purple curtains to make the room dark. Sitting myself down on her bed, I looked up at the stars, later finding myself laying down in the process.

I started to reminisce about the summers I used to have with Erin. I hadn't really looked up at any form of stars like this since the summer before Erin died. It was something that we used to do all of the time for no reason.

Minutes later, Erin opened the door, "What are you doing?" she asked.

"Remember when we always used to just relax in the summer and just stare at the stars for no reason?"

"Yeah?" She closed the door and walked over to lie down next to me.

"I'm just thinking about that."

We sat in silence, looking at the fake stars that seemed to look real to me, "Hey, guess what," I said.

"What?" she questioned.

"I see Orion's Belt," I said smugly.

She whipped her hand backward to hit my chest, "Shut up Harry. Even with all of these constellations around you, you still can only name one." True story.

"Your point?"

"I win."

"No you don't. I always win," I said with quite a bit of sarcasm.

"Don't disagree with me, I will tickle you again." I threatened.

"Don't even try," she said while messing with my curls with one of her hands. She quickly got up and turned on the lights.

I quickly covered my face with my hands as I closed my eyes, "Ah! No! Turn that off!" The lights were blinding me.

She crossed her arms and laughed at me, "No, that's what you get for no agreeing with me," There was no doubt in my mind that from all of the squinting she was doing, that the lights were hurting her too.

She left me with her arms still crossed. I followed her and saw that she was sitting down on the couches, ready to play more Mario

We ended up playing video games for the remaining hour and a half that I was there, with a couple breaks in the middle when we talked about the past.

When I did leave, I hugged her and promised that I would stop by again tomorrow after my interviews. She didn't have classes, so it was perfect. I kissed her on the forehead and left.

After I walked a couple of blocks away from the flat, I called Nicholas and informed him of where to pick me up.

"Where'd you go?" Louis asked as I got into the car.

"Just...walking," I informed him, but that was an obvious lie.

"Uh huh..." Louis said off-handedly with a quick raise of his eyebrows.

"Harry, some things aren't just adding up, do you want to tell us something?" he asked while gesturing to Niall.

Shit. I knew that my lying earlier had sucked. I just had to keep thinking about my promise. It was the one thing that I didn't want to break.

"No, Lou. Nothing is going on."

Harry was clearly lying to us. I just didn't understand why. We always told everyone in the band what was going on, especially stuff like this. He had to have gone and seen Erin. Not a fake, impersonated one, but the real girl.

First of all, Harry was positive when he saw her for the first time just two days ago. You just don't break down for maybe seeing someone.

Second, he had seen her not once, but two times before he went to go see her.

Third, he said he talked to her on the phone. He had to have still known what her voice sounded like, particularly if they had grown up together.

And fourth, Harry was just a terrible liar. He had always been awful at lying to people, or at least to people who knew him really well.

I was also confused on what the big deal was. Why would he hide Erin from us? Of course it’s different if he was hiding her from management or Paul. But me, Niall, Liam, and Zayn?

Something was up.

All I knew was that Harry wasn't going to ever tell me. It was obvious after he had lied to my face twice. I assumed that he would be going to visit her again tomorrow.

So the only solution would be to follow him to her place, and find out what was really going on. I couldn't bring the rest of the lads; it would be much harder to follow Harry.

I guess it was time to meet Erin.
