I Finally Found You (Completed)

Today, my name is Olivia Moore. But, it used to be Erin Parker. I had grown up with a normal life in Holmes Chapel, England. I had two of the best parents a child could have. Though I didn’t have any siblings, I had a best friend, Harry.

But, that all changed two years ago. Why? Because I died...or at least that’s what everyone thought. They all thought that I was in a car explosion when I was 16, when someone had planted a car bomb. My friends, family, and anyone I had ever known lost me.

But in reality, none of that happened. Yes, I lost the people around me, but that was because I went into hiding. Three days before I “died,” I saw something that I shouldn't have, so my life was in danger. I didn't really have very much time to say goodbye to everyone I loved. The fact that they didn't know what really happened kills me, they all think I’m dead, that I’m never going to come back. Until now.

2. Chapter 1

America: Crazy right? We were there, hoping to break the music industry. And in just a couple of days, we would be on The Today Show, performing! Niall won’t shut up about how we might’ve made it in the U.S., but I couldn't blame him because this was the biggest thing we've done here. Fans were already lined up for the show even though it wasn’t until tomorrow. We basically had the day off until tonight, when we would do a sound check for the show.

I rolled around in bed, seeing it as only being eight in the morning, so I could get a couple more hours of sleep in; this job was more exhausting than you'd think. But, after hearing a bunch of non-stop knocks on my hotel door, I groaned and stretched, eventually getting up to check who the heck thought I would like the be bothered this early on a day off. Of course, Liam and Louis were waiting for me once I opened up.

Louis smiled, “Oh good, you’re up!”

“Barely.” I mumbled.

“Do you know what you’re doing today?” He asked quickly, looking from side to side as if to see if anyone was coming our way.

“No, I don’t. Because, you know, the fact that it’s only eight in the morning. I was actually planning on going back to bed.” I'll admit that I was being cranky, but I'm not exactly a morning person.

At that moment, they both pushed me back inside my room with them and closed the door. Liam shook his head, “No, no, no. Louis and I decided that we are going to try to go through the subways and stop at random place for fun. You should come with us." What?

“Are you crazy? Even you Louis, are you crazy?”

He only shrugged and said nonchalantly, “No, just bored.”

“Come on Harry, we will get noticed no matter what. But we figure that after The Today Show, we'll get noticed even more often by people.” Liam interjected.

True, but I wasn’t sure if this was a very good idea. I glanced at my window to see how the weather was. It was sunny and there weren’t any clouds in the sky, so it seemed that it would be like that the rest of the day.

“Ah, bloody hell. I'll be over after I shower.” I said, huffing my breath.

“Alright, good.” Liam responded. They turned on their heals and were about to leave until-

“I’ll meet you in Louis’s room.” I spoke quietly.

“No,” Louis said, wide-eyed, before I closed my door, “Liam’s room.” Then he brought his voice down to a whisper, “Remember Paul is staying next to mine, and we don’t want him to catch us sneaking out.”

“Sneaking out? I thought a body guard was coming with us.” I whispered, my words coming out a little sharper than expected. What in the world we’re they thinking?

“Nope.” Louis said, popping the p.

I looked at Liam trying to figure out what he was thinking, “Liam, you actually want to attempt to walk around, without a body guard, trying to go unnoticed?”

“Yup.” Liam said, also making the p pop. I was so confused.

"You do realize how hard that is going to be, don't you?"

They both just looked at each other and simply shrugged, like they didn't have a care in the world.

I sighed, “Whatever, I’ll be ready soon.”

I shut the door and walked into my room. After taking a quick shower and rummaging through my suitcases to find some kind of an outfit, I grabbed my phone, sunglasses, and wallet from my bedside table, and walked out the door. I crept quietly to Liam’s room, trying to stay away from Paul and the body guards. Liam had left his door open so I just walked in. His room looked exactly how mine did; suitcases on the floor, clothes surrounding them because they have been gone through, searching for the right shirt or trousers. “Liam?”

“Yeah mate, in here.” His voice came from his room around the corner.

“Took you long enough!” Louis teased.

I laughed, shaking my head, “Whatever Lou! Let’s go before someone finds out what we’re doing.”

Liam agreed, so we headed out. We made sure to tell Zayn what we were doing before we left and we decided to go through the back, and to find a subway as soon as possible. Niall and Zayn were smart and opted out of doing this, so they weren’t coming with us. I honestly couldn't figure out how we already made it this far without getting mobbed or anything.

We first stopped in China Town. There was a ton of people selling scarves, shoes, purses, hats, and sunglasses. Louis bought a striped scarf at the first place we stopped at. We found that people would stop us while we were walking, asking us if we wanted to buy something from Coach and other expensive brands. We kept on saying no, but Louis sometimes wanted to say yes, just to see what would happen. Let's just say that Liam and I had to convince him not to. We only had to stop five times for pictures, which was nice. We could basically walk through the city unnoticed, just like Liam and Louis thought.

We got back onto the subway and stopped somewhere else random. We stopped at a food cart for breakfast, since we didn’t get anything earlier. This area was a little closer to where we were staying. We started to walk around, to see the city some more, eating bagels and rolls from the cart.

We were turning a corner when all of a sudden-

I had run into a girl by accident, not seeing her, “I’m so sorry!” I said, feeling bad. I had dropped my bagel and she had dropped a folder full of papers, so I bent over with her to help her pick them up, forgetting about my ruined food.

She shook her head, “No, no, it’s my fault too. It’s alright.” It sounded like she had an English accent so, I looked up at her. She had brunette hair that went down to the middle of her back. And when she looked up to look at my face, I saw that she had faded freckles on her cheeks and beautiful turquoise eyes that had yellow flecks in them.

-August 3rd, 2009-

“Harry! Stop it! You’re hurting me!” Erin giggled. I was hugging her as hard as I could, “I’m only leaving for a week!”

“I know! I just wanted to know that I will be missing my best friend!” I let her go and she fixed her hair. I liked how she always fretted about it; she always wanted it to be perfect. It was kind of cute.

Shaking her head, “You’re such an idiot Harold.”

“I will miss you Erin. There is no need to use the sarcasm.”

“Whatever.” She sat down on her bed looking at her hands, blushing. Then she looked up with me with her beautiful turquoise eyes.

-Present Time-

“Er- Erin?” I stumbled. It couldn’t be her. She was dead.

I heard her gasp and her eyes went wide. She started to mumble “no” over and over, getting her papers together as quickly as possible.

“I’m sorry.” She whispered.

“What? Erin, is it you? It can’t be. I thought you were dead.”

I tried to reach for her hand or something, but she got up before I could, shaking her head and leaving as quickly as possible. She didn’t even bother to put some of the papers she dropped back into her folder.

“No! Erin! Where are you going?” But she was gone, through the crowd. I couldn’t see her, but I tried to find her, running through. But it was useless. As much as I tried, I couldn’t find her.

I thought Erin was dead, what had just happened?

“Harry!” Liam and Louis yelled, jogging up to me.

“Who was that?” Liam asked.

“Her. Erin. I ju- I-” I was dumbfounded, shocked, confused, and most of all hurt.

I just saw my best friend. The one that died about a month before I auditioned for The X Factor. She couldn’t be alive, but I could tell that she knew me. Not as a fan, but as a person. And I knew it was her, with all my heart.

“Harry, calm down. Isn’t Erin that girl that died when you were sixteen?” Liam asked.

I could only nod my head yes. They looked at each other confused.

“Then how was that her Harry? You must be mistaken.” Louis stated.

“No! It was her, it was her, it was her. I know it was.”

“I just know.” I pressed my back against the nearest building, scrunching my hands through my hair. Sliding down, I started to cover my face with my hands, trying to hide how broken I looked on the outside.
