30. Chapter 30

Autumn's POV

10:01 pm Sunday Night

Him- 'we're done.'

My eyes filled with painful tears as I clutched my phone in my hands reading those two terrible words over and over. I had just gotten out of the shower and finished all the packing in my bedroom, and now this? Questions raced through my mind as I silently sobbed into my empty white mattress. What now? Is my life over? I feel as if my only love just took a blade and stabbed it right into my heart, breaking it into two pieces. This would never be fixed. There was one thing and only one thing I could say back.

Me- 'I don't know why you're doing this Harry, you know I loved you. And know what you also know? You know that since I'm no longer "yours", I can harm myself in any way possible. Goodbye Harry, and have a nice life. I'll miss you.'

I pressed send immediately. I chucked my phone across the room and it shattered one of my mini mirrors on my table. It was the special mirror. From my mum. The mirror she gave to me when I was just a toddler. And now it's broken. Tears flooded down my face at the realization of everything. I couldn't even think straight, I got up off my mattress that is now filled of my depressed tears, and wobbling, I walked to the broken glass. "Perfect." I whispered to myself, as more tears kept on coming. I pick up one blade of glass, and I heard the door to my house open. Who cares, not Harry obviously! I locked myself in the bathroom, with the glass, and decided it would be best to just block everything out. Every sound, every person, everything wasn't here for these next moments. I did hear this terribly loud banging, but as the tears flowed down onto my shaking body, I screamed, "YOU DON'T CARE ANYMORE, JUST LEAVE." And I brought up the glass to my wrist, and dug in the deepest, most painful yet soothing cut into my left hand, and let the blood pour down. It oozed out of my body and I sat on the toilet, with my hand back on the wall. Eventually, as everything became dizzy, a loud bang was the last thing I heard, and I saw the door break down, and in came Harry. Oh yeah, the one that gave me up.

I mumbled one last thing as he approached me with the tears glistening in his eyes. I looked him in the eyes and watched him cry, "You don't love me anymore." And with that, everything became black.

Harry's POV

No, no no no no no! I did not just let this happen! I stared down at her as she muttered those last words. "You don't love me anymore." No, I love her.

I screamed at the top of my lungs, "AUTUMN, NO WAIT, I'VE LOVED YOU, PLEASE DON'T LEAVE ME!" The tears flowed out of my eye sockets and onto my face. She blacked out and needed help. I dialed Liam's number as fast as possible. He answered on the first ring.

"LIAM, Help!!"

"What- huh? Harry?"

"What happened?!?!? Is she alright!"

"Didn't you just break up with her because of Gertrude?"

"But you broke up-"

I hung up, I paced around her bathroom, not sure of what to do. I've never been in this position, and if we took her to the hospital, she'd be sent to a mental hospital. I found a huge first aid kit in the bottom drawer, located next to her lady products. I found chemicals, bands, tissue, and all sorts of things. The blood eventually stopped flowing, but there was still a huge gash on her arm. I brought her lifeless body to the sink and washed the blood. By this time, I heard the door slam open, and eventually the lads, Marissa, and Marissa's mum came running in. Marissa's mum gasped, then pushed me aside. She grabbed her first aid kit.

She then exclaimed, "If she won't go to the hospital, leave it to me. I used to be a nurse. Now everybody, out." She shooed us all out, but I didn't budge. "Excuse me Harry, but leave." She said frowning at me.

"No ma'am, I can't. I'm loyal to my girlfrie- I mean friend, and I'm not leaving."

"Oh so is that what caused this?" She questioned, glaring at me.

"What?" I asked, confused.

"You broke up with her, causing her to self harm? Is that what happened?"

I looked down to my feet, tears falling onto my nose, and I looked up, slowly nodding. She put a hand on my shoulder. "You need to leave." I obeyed, turning around, and walking out the door and into her room with the lads and Marissa. Liam was the first to hug me. I heard the door slam shut in the bathroom, and she must've gotten to work.

"Mate, how did you find out about her doing this?" Liam asked, in a hushed, caring voice.

"Gertrude. She came to my house." I explained. "She told me to read her text conversation with Autumn. So I did."

"And what did they talk about?" Niall questioned, as the attention was all on me at the moment.

I sniffled, whispering before more tears fell, "She told her that-" I couldn't finish without crying. Lou and Zayn came around to where I sat on the bed and Lou whispered, "What did she say mate?"

I caught my sanity and slowly went on, "She- she told her-"

"Told her what." Zayn whispered, rubbing my back slowly.

"She said she didn't love me anymore." I wiped the tears that rapidly fell from my red, swollen eyes. Marissa then piped up, "When did this happen?"

I replied looking straight at her, "Today, I was texting you guys and Autumn nonstop as I spent my time packing. Then, I thought one of you were replying to me, but then I received something else..." Fresh, painful tears crept up in my eyes once again before Niall said, "What was that?"

I gulped and went on being as sane as I could though it was hard. "Gertrude sent a picture message." I sniffled, "It was there conversation. It broke me, so I broke her by-" I gulped loudly, "I broke up with her." I stared down, trying to fight back the tears, even though it was pointless.

"But mate, why would Autumn do such a terrible thing to herself?" Asked Lou, quite confused on why she would do this because of a break up. He continued, "If she 'didn't love you anymore', then why did she hurt herself so badly."

"It doesn't make any sense." Liam concluded. The door then unlocked, and Marissa's mum walked out, shutting the door quietly behind her. "She's doing fine. Though she only wants to talk to Harry, if he wants to." I looked up, and sniffed, "Tell her I would love to." I sat up, and hugged my best mates. I took a few deep breaths, and found my way to the door, where Marissa's mum was, "I'll just be a minute miss." She nodded carefully, and I walked in. Her back was facing me, though she was still seated on the toilet. I talked first, "Why did you tell her that?" I asked, gulping for the tenth time, just to be able to contain myself.

"What? I don't understand." Her voice was shaky, but I really hoped she knew what I meant.

"Gertrude. Why did you send her that text?"

She turned her body to me cautiously, with a confused look on her face.

"Harry, I don't even have her number, how would I have texted her?"
