My Princess.

Having to live with the fact that your best friend left the country without saying goodbye and never contacting again is difficult, but when that best friend was Niall Horan and now you have to hear about him and see his face all over the media because he's one fifth of the biggest boyband in the world is even more difficult. But what happens when Niall decides to take a couple of months off to finish school back in Ireland? Will he remember his once called 'best friend' or will Hallie have to live as if they've never known each other? When two people really care about each other, they will always find a way back to each other. But, is this the case for Niall and Hallie?

16. First date.

Hallie's P.O.V:

Breakfast was normal. There was a slight bit of awkwardness when Harry first entered the kitchen but that quickly faded as we began talking. Everything was back to normal again.

"Are you ready love?" I could hear Niall's voice getting louder as he walked into the bedroom.

I was in the en suite bathroom, fixing my hair and applying a bit of make up. "Just a minute." I yelled. I had called my mam earlier and asked her if it was okay that I stayed with Niall for a few days. Of course she said yes. I mean, my mam has always loved Niall. Ever since we were young.

I was just about finished my make up when I felt the familiar feeling of Niall's arms wrap around my waist. "You don't even need that stuff babe." He gestured to the make up. "You're beautiful without it." He smiled, kissing the tip of my nose.

"That's easy for you to say." I laughed. "You're a guy."

"Yeah, yeah." He whined sarcastically. "Come on, let's go." He said grabbing my hand and leading me out of the bathroom.

"Oh yeah, where are we even going?" I asked, curious as we got into his car.

"You'll see." He winked.

I just kissed his cheek and sat back in the passenger seat as we drove off.

Niall's P.O.V:

I glanced over at her as I drove. She is so beautiful. Why she feels like she needs make up and whatnot I will never understand. She is perfect to me. My feelings for her just keep growing stronger. I know people might think it's crazy because we haven't seen each other in years and we just start going out after seeing each other again. I would think that too if I saw people similar to us but there's just something about this relationship that feels so right. I've been waiting so long for the one, for my princess and I think I may have found her.

I was taking her to Nandos. Classy? I know. People might say 'Nandos? Really, Niall?' But Nandos means something to us both. We would come here together all the time before I left.

Why did I just leave? The fact that I never said goodbye will always hurt me but I'm glad we can look past it and concentrate on what's here, now. Me and Hallie.

Hallie's P.O.V:

We pulled into the parking lot and I instantly knew where we were. Nandos. The place I would always come with Niall before he left. "Just like old times." I smiled.

"You know what else is like old times?" He laughed.

"What?" I asked, turning to him.

He just smirked. "Last one there has to buy the first drink!" He jumped out of the car and started running towards the restaurant.

I quickly unbuckled my seat belt, jumped out of the car and ran behind him. "Oh you're on Horan!" I caught up with him and soon enough I was passing him. "Speed up, slow coach." I yelled, still running. I had always been a faster runner than Niall. That hasn't changed.

We walk into Nandos panting. We were both out of breath. The waiter came over and showed us to our table and handed us our menus. "Thank you." I smiled and he walked away.

"So, what do you want love?" Niall asked, his eyes still glued to the menu.

I playfully pouted. "You don't remember?"

He laughed. "Of course I do." He then took my menu from me. "Two chicken wraps it is." He smiled, getting up and walking to the counter to order.

"Niall?" I asked as he was walking away.

He turned around. "Yes love?"

"I'll have a coke." I winked, remembering I had won our race.

He chuckled. "You forget nothing!"

"I sure don't." I smiled.

Niall ordered and came back and sat at the table. We were facing each other. We just talked about everything. Catching up really. The only thing we didn't talk about was Tyler. I wasn't bringing his name up anytime soon. I wasn't ready to talk about it again.

Just as Niall was talking about the Olympics performance, the food came. A smile crept onto Niall's face as he stared at the chicken wrap. I swear that boy's love for food is insane.

After we ate and payed, we walked out and got back into the car. I turned to face Niall as he closed the driver's door. "Thank you." I smiled.

He leaned in and I felt his lips on mine. "You're welcome babe."

I sat back into my seat and rested a hand on his leg. He drove off and we headed back to his house. Then I realized something.

I looked to him. He was smiling to himself as he drove the car. He glanced at me and noticed I was looking at him. "Niall?"

He looked back to the road. "Yeah?" He asked.

"I've just realized something." I smiled. "That was our first ever proper date."

A smile crept on his face. "It was." He chuckled. "And there's many more to come!"

I smiled and sat back in my seat as he continued driving. I glanced over at him a few times. Just looking at how perfect he was and wondering how I ended up with someone as amazing as he is. How I ever got so lucky to have Niall I will never know.
