"Holy shit." Belle mumbled under her breath as Louis and the other boys led her into the empty Manchester Arena, where their very first concert for their UK tour would be held that night.

The boys chuckled at her vulgarity, and watched as she looked around at the massive arena, completely awestruck at its size.

"Just wait until all these seats are filled up with people!" Niall said cheerfully as he hopped up and sat on the edge of the empty stage.

Belle's eyes got wide and she looked at her Irish friend. "You mean...all these seats are going to be filled?" She asked.

"Love, every single one of our concerts has been sold out for this tour." Liam said kindly. "There isn't going to be one open seat at any of the venues we perform at."

Belle gulped and looked around the arena once again. The place was absolutely massive. The London theater they had been rehearsing in for the past month wasn't even half this big. Not to mention it had been empty every time she had been on stage practicing. There was no way she was ready for this.

Belle let out a deep breath and sat down in one of the arean seats, putting her head down in her hands. Louis sat down next to her and rubbed circles on her back to comfort her.

"Babe it's going to be alright, I promise." Louis said softly. When Belle didn't respond after a few seconds, he looked up at the boys and gestured for them to go off somewhere. They all nodded knowingly and started walking towards the back and away from the couple. "Belle look at me." Louis said, taking Belle's chin in his hand and lifting her face up to his. He smiled sweetly. "You are going to do absolutely amazing tonight. You have the best voice I've ever heard, and you play that guitar better than Niall. But don't tell him I said that." He added with a cheeky wink. Belle chuckled and took his hand in her own.

"But I've never done anything like this." She almost whispered. "I-I don't wanna mess up you guys' big concert, you know? I mean, I'm your opening act, and if they don't like me then--"

"But they are going to like you, babe." Louis interrupted firmly. "Tonight, you're going to walk out on that stage, look beautiful as always, sing your two songs absolutely wonderfully, the boys and I are going to perform, then I'm going to take you out for a really nice celebratory dinner. Sound good?"

Belle looked down for a second and smiled meekly before looking back up at Louis, who was grinning widely. He was so sweet to her, she didn't think she'd ever understand why or how he actually liked her. She was so awkward, and weird, and nerdy, and he was just so...perfect. She was so lucky.

"Yeah." Belle finally said whilst biting her bottom lip and smiling. "That sounds great."

Louis beamed and leaned forward to kiss her, but just as they were about to make contact, Harry's voice shouted out, "Ah! My eyes!"

Louis groaned and rolled his eyes and Belle just threw her head back and laughed. Louis took a moment to look at his beautiful girlfriend and, as always, he was blown away by her beauty. But what made Belle so great was the fact that she was beautiful on the inside and out. She was so insecure, but he honestly had no idea why. She'd captured his heart the moment they met, he was sure of it. Everyone she came in contact with left with a smile on their face, that's just how Belle was. He was so lucky.

"Harry don't worry I'll save you!" Liam shouted, coming out of seemingly nowhere and covering Harry's eyes. "You two ought to be ashamed of yourselves, scarring his innocent mind!" He said in a mock-serious tone.

"Innocent?" Louis asked incredulously, standing up and walking over to his two friends. "Our Harry is anything but innocent!"

Belle laughed as pretty soon, all the boys came out and were laughing, joking, teasing, and play fighting with each other. They were like brothers, those five. At this point, Belle considered them her family more than anyone she'd had back home. Her life was so perfect right at that moment, sitting in front of a stage that she would be performing on in just seven hours, watching her boyfriend joke around with their four other best friends, no longer having any worries about her father, or Costa Enterprises, or Alan.

Life was good.

For now, at least.

***

Seven Hours Later...

"Costa you got five minutes!" A backstage hand with a headset and a clipboard shouted out as Lou Teasdale, the boys' makeup artist, was touching up Belle's foundation.

"Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, I can't do this." Belle said hastily as Lou finished and stepped back. "Lou I think I'm going to throw up, oh my gosh."

Belle could hear the roar of the huge crowd in the background, already having filled up the arena. She was supposed to be going on stage in five minutes and she felt like she was going to pass out. This wasn't her, she'd never done anything like this before! How could management and the boys actually think she was ready for this? She was still a teenager, were they absolutely crazy?! Well, some of the boys were still teenagers, but that was different! They had experience, she'd never even performed in front of a crowd before, and now she was going to perform in front of the biggest fanbase in the world, as the opening act of the biggest boyband in the world?! She couldn't do it.

"Belle darling sit down." Lou said soothingly, guiding Belle to a chair. Belle was almost at the point of hyperventillating, and she put her head down in her hands as soon as she sat down. "Alright now you stay right here, I'll be back in two seconds!" Lou said before running off.

As Belle sat there alone, a million ideas ran through her head. She could run away right now, grab a taxi, and become a bum on the streets playing the guitar. Or maybe she could hop a train and be a hobo for the rest of her life. Even better, she could go back home and be guilted into running Satan's chemical company. That sounded better than going on stage and making an idiot of herself!

Just as Belle was about to make a run for it, Louis came running around the corner, Lou hot on his heels. Belle looked up at him with tears brimming in her eyes and he quickly jogged up to her and knelt down so he was at eye level with her, still sitting in the chair.

"Babe what is it, what's wrong?" He asked hurriedly.

"Louis I can't do this!" Belle shouted. "There's too many people, I'm gonna screw it up, they're going to hate me and--"

Louis cut Belle off by putting his hands on either side of her face and pulling her in for a deep kiss. Belle was stunned at first, but responded eagerly, fisting her hand in his hair and tilting her head to deepen their contact. Almost a minute passed and they finally broke for air, resting their foreheads against each other and catching their breath. Lou had disappeared at some point during their makeout session.

"Babe," Louis said in between breaths, "You are going to do amazing. You wanna know why?"

Belle chuckled disbelievingly and said "Why?" in a very sarcastic tone.

"Well for one, you look ridiculously hot." Louis said in a cheeky tone, and he was right. Belle looked amazing in her strapless gold sequined dress, with her gold high heels on and her brown hair curled to perfection. She laughed breathily but Louis continued. "And for two, your voice is absolutely out of this world. And finally," Louis leaned back and looked Belle straight in the face. "They're going to love you because you're amazing and...and you've already made me fall in love with you."

Belle's jaw dropped. Did Louis just say he loved her? Did that really just happen? She opened her mouth to say something but no words came out. She was smiling all the same though. Louis said he loved her! Her boyfriend was in love with her! Louis grinned at her speechless demeanor and swooped in for another kiss, the both of them smiling into it.

"Costa, you're up!" The man with the headset shouted out, and Louis and Belle broke away from each other. Louis grinned and took Belle's hand, jerking her up and out of the seat, and into his arms. He smiled down at her and took her face in his hands once again.

"Knock 'em dead babe." He said with finality, kissing the top of her head and turning her on her heels before gently pushing her towards the stage entrance. Belle was smiling like an idiot as she walked away from Louis and towards the headset man, who was holding out her guitar for her to take on stage. She took it from him and put the strap around her head, still smiling. He guided her a few feet forward and held open the curtain to the stage. She peeked around and saw the thousands of screaming One Direction fans waiting on her to open up for their favorite band.

Belle looked over her shoulder and made eye contact with Louis, who was still looking at her, smiling with his hands in his pockets. He winked and mouthed the words "I love you."

Belle smiled wide and mouthed "I love you too" to which Louis just beamed. She turned back around and thanked the headset man before walking out on the massive stage.

Her jitters were gone, the butterflies in her stomach ceased to exist.

Anabelle Lee Costa was on top of the world.
