Breaking Free

Ever felt smothered by everyone else's idea of what your life should be like? Have you ever just wanted to say "Stop! It's my life!" to those closest to you? We all have, haven't we? I bet you were too afraid to do it though. So you kept your mouth shut, and did exactly what you always told yourself you would never do: you followed the rules set by people who don't really know you, and let THEM control your life. But what could happen if you finally just said no? If you decided to follow your own dream? Would something amazing happen? Would you fall in love? Would you find what you've been looking for your whole life? What could happen if you just...broke free?

"Dammit let me in there!" Louis shouted, screaming in security's face.

"Back off kid." One of the bigger guys said, shoving Louis back roughly. "Paul can't talk right now, he is going to be in meetings all day."

"But I need him!" Louis shouted exasperatedly.

The guy chuckled. "Too bad pop star. Paul said if you need help with anything, you can go talk to Olivia. She'll help you with anything you need."

Louis inhaled sharply and ran a hand through his messy hair, stalking off from the two security guards he had never seen before. He was in a pair of sweatpants and a white tshirt, his hair a mess and stubble still on his chin. As soon as he had gotten the call from Alan, Louis had gotten to the arena in a matter of minutes to try and let Paul know what was going on.

However, Monkey One and Monkey Two had kept him away from Paul, claiming he was stuck in meetings for a while. And as if Louis trusted Olivia enough to tell her what Alan had told him on the phone? Hell no.

Louis rounded a corner backstage and found himself in an empty hallway. "Dammit!" He yelled, turning and slamming his palm against the wall as hard as he could. It stung, but he was too pissed off to care. He started to breathe heavily and he leaned his forehead against the brick to try and calm down.

"Louis?" A familiar voice called out. He looked up with a frustrated expression to see Niall looking at him with his eyebrow cocked. "You alright? No offense mate but uh, you look like shit."

Louis rolled his eyes and started to walk past Niall. "I'm fine." He said coldly, attempting to shove his way past his friend.

"Hey wait Lou." Niall called out, grabbing Louis' shoulder to keep him from storming off. "What's wrong with you?"

"Nothing. I just...I just need to talk to Belle okay?" Louis wrenched his shoulder away from Niall's hand and walking away yet again.

"Hey you can't talk to her right now!" Niall called after Louis, who turned abruptly.

"What did you say to me?" Louis asked coldly, walking towards Niall slowly. Niall wasn't phased though.

"You can't talk to her, she's in rehearsals. Olivia said none of us can talk to her until after the concert tonight."

"What?!" Louis shouted. "That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard!"

Niall nodded, his hands shoved in his pockets. "Yeh I know. Harry said they changed her whole set list but uh," He scratched the back of his head nervously, "None of us were supposed to tell you."

Louis looked taken aback. "Why couldn't you tell me?"

Niall shrugged. "I dunno. I don't think Belle wanted you to be worrying about her or something like that. But uh, you looked stressed out enough so I figured I'd go ahead and tell you." He said with a chuckle.

Louis looked down at the ground in confusion. "Olivia's up to something..." He muttered to himself.

"What?" Niall asked.

Louis snapped his head back up. "Nothing. Uh, yeah, nothing just talking to myself. You know me, I'm the weird one remember? All haha's and no serious? That's me!" He laughed manically and Niall looked at him like he was crazy.

"Louis...are you high?"

Louis just chuckled and clapped Niall on the shoulder. "No mate, I'm not high. See you later alright?"

"Alright." Niall muttered skeptically.

Louis walked away from Niall with one thing on his mind:

Finding Olivia and figuring out why the hell she was keeping Louis away from everyone.

"Ugh fuck this choreography!" Belle shouted, stomping her foot on the stage.

Josh and Sandy started to laugh hysterically and Dan just shook his head and grinned.

"What?!" She yelled at them.

"I've...just never...heard you...say fuck!" Josh said in between bouts of laughter.

Belle rolled her eyes at the band and threw them the middle finger, just making them laugh even harder.

She'd only been rehearsing the new set for an hour and a half at this point, and she was already pissed off. The two new songs were "With Ur Love" by Cher Lloyd and "Stronger" by Kelly Clarkson. Both were very upbeat and fast songs, and Belle sang them perfectly. She just wasn't used to the change of pace though.

"Ugh I feel naked without my guitar!" Belle said frustratedly, sitting down on the edge of the stage and putting her head in her hands. Dan came over to her and sat down as well.

"Hey don't worry." He said, nudging Belle with his elbow. She looked up at him and rolled her eyes.

"Don't worry? How am I not supposed to worry when I'm opening up for the biggest boyband in the world on two new songs I've never sang until today, with a bunch of shit dance moves, while having to coordinate with you three for the first time ever in just nine hours?" She asked sarcastically. "Oh and if I suck, millions of Directioners will start planning my death within minutes." She added. "Why is it I'm not supposed to worry again?"

"Because," Dan said smugly, "You kick ass. There's nothing to be worried about. And we're going to help you out as much as we can. Right boys?" He called out the last part loudly to Josh and Sandy, who shouted back their affirmations. "Right." Dan continued, back to Belle. "So there's no need to worry. Now," Dan stood up and held out his hand for Belle to take. "Get your ass up. It's time to show us what you've really got and quit goofing around."

Belle couldn't help but grin and she took Dan's hand and jumped up.

Okay, so Dan's little pep talk had definitely perked her up. But Belle still couldn't get rid of this nagging feeling in the pit of her something was going to go wrong.

But it was probably just nerves.
