It's time to dance {One Direction}

"Complicated enough to not even tell your best friend? This was why you were acting so strange at the park that day after the flash-mob in Battersea Park! Did he even know you were there? That I was the one his mates ran into shortly after when everything had just turned dark for me for a second."
"Mel it's more than that. Liam and I are together, but Matt can't know ok? He can't know anything about this place. Just as Liam can't know about the crew. You understand?"
"No I don't. I'm your best friend Dani. Your best friend through years, and this is why you've been acting so strange all of a sudden? I knew about x-factor and shut up about it. But this? This is a freaking boy band."
"But you're still here aren't you?"
I guess no matter how good you think you know people, you'll always be surprised at the end when your whole world turns around.

14. Picked up at the police station

“Do you want us to call your parents or do you want to do it yourself?”

I was sitting in an interrogation room, waiting for another police officer to come in.

“You don’t need my parent’s permission to do an interrogation. I’m 19 years old.”

“Well Miss Foxen, you have one call.”

“Thank you.”

I took the phone which was placed on the table and dialled the number I knew by now. The number which I had learned after all the times I had been called without reason, just to make sure I was going to work this time.

“Yeah hello.”

“Yes who’s speaking?”

“It’s Melody. And please don’t hang up, because I know you’re mad at me but I need your help.”

“You need my help?”

“Please Liam. I’m at New Scotland Yard Broadway London SW1H 0BG.”

I had memorized the address from a former visit here. I would always be able to say that instead of directly saying that I was at the police station.

“Wait what are you doing at the police station?”

“They found the rest of the crews at the croft and they caught me before I got the chance to run away.”

“Simon’s gonna kill you not to mention Zayn as well.”

“Well Simon is the least of my problems right now. I need someone to come get me out of this crap hole.”

“I’ll come pick you up, but you have to be calm, and come back to the studios and continue working for us.”

“I don’t think Simon will allow that.”

“I’ll make sure he will.”

“Thanks Liam. I really appreciate.”

“Don’t mention it to the others.”

I sat there in the interrogation room waiting for Liam to come down at the station, but before I would get any chance to leave, I had to answer a lot of questions. The thing was I was the one that had all the material that we had ever gotten. That meant videos, photos, drawings and so on.

“Miss Foxen, can you explain us what all this rebellion is there for?”

“I’m not part of it anymore.”

“Then what were you doing at the place known as the croft?”

“I was checking on my sister.”

“Your sister?”

“Jessica Maria Foxen.”

“And what was she doing at the place known as the croft?”

I giggled as he said the same thing again, it sounded stupid and retarded.

“She’s a dancer for the crew. Third leader now that I’ve gone out of the crew.”

“Did you know anything about the flash-mob in Hyde Park today?”

“No I no longer receive any information and I haven’t been living home for the past 5 weeks so I haven’t seen or heard anything from anyone in the crew. Anything else you wanna know now where we’re at it?”

I rolled my eyes and leaned back in the chair. I was really annoyed about the fact that they had taken my phone. That phone was the most important thing I had right now, and I needed it to stay in contact with everyone outside of my own little bubble.

“What are the plans between the two dance crews?”

“I don’t know what the 680’s planned. I thought it was all over after I moved out.”

“Don’t lie to me miss Foxen. Your sister has told us different.”

“Oh you’re gonna use the, ‘someone you know told us something different about you’ to make me talk. But guess what it’s not working on me. Honestly I thought the riots would be over by now, and I didn’t know what they had planned today. I was at training in the studios, and when Zayn took me back home we drove past Hyde Park and I saw it happen, and honestly I know my old crew. I knew they were there, but I knew there were others as well.”

“Which others?”

I leaned in over the table and made sure my lips perfectly formed each word as I started speaking again.

“I couldn’t tell from my place in the car, but if you get your ass back to Hyde Park you’ll see the name in the art painted on the road.”

I leaned back crossing my arms over my chest and turning from side to side as I waited to be released.

“Seriously? What are you even keeping me back for? I haven’t done anything. I’m not even dressed like them any more. I have nothing to do with this crew, and whatever has been going on in the past is not something I’m part of any more, and I have taken my punishment for that. I was kicked out of my family, I lost my boyfriend, I lost one of my best friends and I lost my sister. Neither of them wants to speak with me. I washed my sins off of my body and I’m now working with a well working crew.”

“I know you were part of the dance down at Oxford circus 2 months ago.”

“It’s public disturbance.”

“But you can’t really prove I was there can you? Because with this new look, people don’t really know who I am anymore now do they?”

“Get out of my interrogation room!”

I sat out in the hall where I was placed with all of my stuff, still laughing a bit because I again had won this fight.

I saw Simon walk into the station. His face was covered from the usual sunglasses and of course he was wearing a pair of casual jeans and a white t-shirt. This was how everyone knew him best, apparently what he was mostly comfortable in.

“Mr. Cowell.”

The officer who had just been doing an interrogation on me shook hands with Simon and spoke with him for a short time, before the officer pointed in my direction. I was hiding in my sweatshirt in the corner of the waiting room. Berried in my phone, answering the different texts from the people who had already gotten out or from the dancers back at the studios. Apparently rumors spread fast around this area of the town.

“Get your ass out in the car out on the street. No errands on the way. Got it?”

At the same time my sister walked out in the waiting room. Apparently the police had called mum and gotten her to pick her up at the station. I knew she would be in trouble so I wanted to get out of here as fast as I could. I didn’t want to be a part of the fight that was about to happen at that station, because I knew it would be long and the police would get involved.

“So you are gonna leave me for real?”

“Don’t you see what the crew is doing to you?”

“It’s my family. I would never turn my back on any of them. Not like you.”

“When you’re older you’ll hopefully understand. Opportunities like the one I got don’t just come to you without hard work. Danielle dances for them as well. We’re there together now. She was my real family from the beginning.”

“So you’re just leaving it all behind.”

“I don’t want to but I have to Jess. I can’t live a life on the streets or behind bars. I need to show the world my dance, but first I’m pretty sure I’ll have an important conversation with Mr. Cowell.”

“I’ll see you around Jess.”

I ran out to the car and sat down. Simon was really angry, and this time I had really messed up big time. I knew it…
