It's time to dance {One Direction}

"Complicated enough to not even tell your best friend? This was why you were acting so strange at the park that day after the flash-mob in Battersea Park! Did he even know you were there? That I was the one his mates ran into shortly after when everything had just turned dark for me for a second."
"Mel it's more than that. Liam and I are together, but Matt can't know ok? He can't know anything about this place. Just as Liam can't know about the crew. You understand?"
"No I don't. I'm your best friend Dani. Your best friend through years, and this is why you've been acting so strange all of a sudden? I knew about x-factor and shut up about it. But this? This is a freaking boy band."
"But you're still here aren't you?"
I guess no matter how good you think you know people, you'll always be surprised at the end when your whole world turns around.

20. I'm here to stay!

I went back to my hotel room closely followed by Zayn. We shared the room and I loved that I could have him this close to me this time. Liam and Danielle had gotten permission to share one as well even though Paul didn’t really like the idea.

I found my clothes and was about to change, when Zayn lifted me up and pushed me against the wall. He had a wild and angry expression written on his face, and he truly did scare me this time. Why would he do anything like this? I thought everything was cool between him and I.

“What are you doing?!”

“How much do you want this job?”

“Would I be here right now if I didn’t want it? I thought we had cleared all this out.”

“I want to hear it. How much to do you want it?”

“Zayn I just gave up my fucking phone to stay at this place, what else do you want to say?”

He put my back down and turned around, and threw my clothes at me.

“Get changed and meet me here in 5 minutes.”

“Someone’s bossy.”

“Someone’s getting a rough night if they don’t shut up.”

He smirked at me, and suddenly I knew what all this was about. He was such a boy when it came to this.

I went out into the bathroom and changed into the clothes he had thrown at me and returned to the bedroom where I found Zayn smoking out of the window. I knew I had stressed him a lot this time.

“When is the show?”

“Tomorrow at 8.”

“Are you ready?”

“Not really…”

“Are you tired?”

“Then get some rest while I’m at training, I’m pretty sure the girls can keep an eye on me while I’m there.”

“No it’s okay. Let’s get going.”

He turned off his cigarette and followed me down to the area we were dancing at. This was a special training that Simon wanted us to do after everything I had done to the crew. They wanted me to prove that I could do this, even when I was putting too much pressure on my body.

“Oh so you decided to show up?! After everything that you did to me?!”

Danielle was soon up in my face and I recognized her temper from the times she had been fighting with Matt or Tyler over something stupid.

“Yes I’m here. And just stay mad at me. I’ll be in the back working out.”

I went down in the back where I found a seat between the dancers. Everyone seemed mad at me and I could imagine why. I had messed up I knew. Trust me I did, but this wasn’t making it any better.

Training was one hell, and I hated every second of it. Danielle was pushing me really hard and she was testing me with all sorts of steps we weren’t even supposed to do right now. I guess Simon had talked to her about doing it extra hard for me, as he wanted me to feel the pain. I was spinning around, and I soon found a lot of my own steps in the dance as well. She was really trying off the limits. The other dancers stopped after a while and soon it turned out to be a dance fight for me and Danielle instead. We were screaming at each other, and I was trying to explain myself. I hoped I won her over during the fight but so far it didn’t turn out very well.

“Alright that’s enough. Go get a shower. Both of you.”

Simon stopped us before one of us would get hurt. He came just at the right time, and he followed Danielle and made sure that Zayn took me back to the hotel.

“I’ve never seen you dance like that.”

“There’s a lot of things you haven’t seen and don’t know about me. But let’s get that some other time shall we?”

I looked at him as I placed my towel around my neck and looked towards Danielle who was having a huge argue with Simon about me. It was easy to tell that they were talking about me, because she kept turning around and stare at me.

“She’ll get over it you know that right?”

“I know. Trust me I know her better than you think I do.”

“Yeah I guessed that already.”

We went back to the hotel. I got to take a shower and then I went straight to bed. I didn’t feel like facing everyone for dinner, so I just stayed in my room. Simon sent one of the dancers to keep an eye on me while Zayn was down with the others having a nice time and having some dinner. Around 9pm he came back to check on me.

He smiled at me, and to the girl whose name I always forgot.

“It’s okay Kara I’ll take it from here.”

She smiled at me before she left. In reality she had just been sitting on the chair asking me a billion questions about the dance moves Danielle and I had performed. I didn’t want to talk about it, but she kept asking. It was so annoying and I felt like shutting her up, but I was too tired.

“Are you okay?”

“Yeah just tired.”

“Get some rest. Tomorrow will be a long day.”

“I know it will, but I can’t sleep.”

“I’ll come lie with you in a second.”

He smiled at me and before I even knew about it, he lay down beside me and wrapped his arms around me. That’s the last thing I remember before I passed out, into a deep sleep.

When I woke up the next morning everyone was stressed because of the concert that night. We were working all day to get everything ready. We even went to the venue earlier than we would usually would have done.

I was sitting for myself backstage getting ready. I was getting my hair and make-up done, while I was listening to the boys and how they got a bit of vocal training before the concert. Helene was a great woman and she always made all of the boys smile all the time. I was glad that I had a woman like her on the team.

“It’s time Melody.”

I was called to stage and was placed beside Danielle who looked at me a bit annoyed. She wasn’t as angry as she was yesterday and this time, she actually acted like she was going to forgive me.

“Are you gonna take this serious, or are you gonna pull some street stunt in there?”

“Would you just stop it already? I’m tired of you being mad at me. You’re the one person I’m most afraid to loose okay Dani? I’ve been taught.”

“So you’re here for real this time?”

“I guess I’m forced to, I know I messed up Dani, and I’m sorry. I’m sorry that I’ve messed up everything in most of your life, but truth is, if I didn’t force you to dance, neither of us would have gotten to this place. So you should be thanking me at some point as well. I started the dancing, and now I’m finally here where we wanted to be in the beginning. We wanted to show the world what we could do and now we’re doing it. Together, just like where it all started.”

I smiled to my best friend and took her hand. She smiled back at me, and finally everything was at peace in this world. Danielle and I got what we wanted and she wasn’t mad at me anymore. It was all perfect, and now it was time. We entered the stage we were born to be performing, and we did it together just like we were supposed to. This was truly what life was supposed to be, and I kept the two best things that had ever happened to my life. My best friend and my dance.
