It's time to dance {One Direction}

"Complicated enough to not even tell your best friend? This was why you were acting so strange at the park that day after the flash-mob in Battersea Park! Did he even know you were there? That I was the one his mates ran into shortly after when everything had just turned dark for me for a second."
"Mel it's more than that. Liam and I are together, but Matt can't know ok? He can't know anything about this place. Just as Liam can't know about the crew. You understand?"
"No I don't. I'm your best friend Dani. Your best friend through years, and this is why you've been acting so strange all of a sudden? I knew about x-factor and shut up about it. But this? This is a freaking boy band."
"But you're still here aren't you?"
I guess no matter how good you think you know people, you'll always be surprised at the end when your whole world turns around.

13. Back on the streets

I ran with my bag over my shoulder. I wasn’t thinking about anyone right now, I just wanted to get down to Hyde Park and check if everyone was still there or check if I could help anyone get away from the police.

I crossed the street and looked up. Hyde Park seemed more silent than it had ever been before. What was going on here? Seconds ago the police had been here and there had been a huge chaos going on. I went through the park and saw a couple of officers standing at the place where I could easily tell Angelina had been working her art, and expressed the name of the crew.

I don’t know what they had done the dance for this time, but by the way Angelina had been expressing herself it was easy to tell that this wasn’t just any sort of flash-mob there had been more than one crew here, because I could tell at least 5 of the names written in the art was names of different dance crews in the area. It was a revolt, but what were they trying to say. I moved closer and got a great look at the painting. It was the studios. The studios Danielle and I were dancing at that were painted on the ground, but it wasn’t just the studios. They were on fire. Apparently this was some sort riot against the fact that they had lost to a boy band. They were still complaining about it, and this was their warning that something bad was going to happen if we didn’t get away from their business.

“Excuse me miss. You have to leave, this is a crime scene.”

“Did you get the guys who did it?”

I wasn’t dressed in my usual clothes, so the police wouldn’t have noticed that I could have been a part of this.

“Yes we got some of them, but some got away.”

“I see…”

He could sure tell there was something I wasn’t telling him, but it wasn’t like I was making it hard for him either.

“You don’t happen to know anything about this?”

“Actually I know the place they’ve warned about.”

“The art is warning that something bad will happen if others don’t pull back. There’s a professional dance crew dancing in those studios, but I know their head dancers used to dance on the streets in a gang called 680’s. That’s everything I know sir.”

I smile and made my way away from the park. I knew much more than I had told already, but there was no need to getting the police involved. We were gonna handle this on our own. I saw his eyes follow me as I left the park. Apparently he didn’t believe me, so I would have to stay undercover until I got to the croft. I needed to check if everyone was okay. I needed to know what had happened to my sister.

I double checked if anyone was around as I entered the croft.

[No one’s POV]

In the bushes close to the entrance of the croft sat the police officer covered from the leaves, but he saw Melody as she entered the croft.

“I knew she looked familiar. The head dancer of 680’s just revealed their place. Get a couple of cars down on the other side of Hyde Park, they are over here in the left building.”

[Melody’s POV]

I heard the music and all the yelling. Apparently both Matt and Tyler had been taken, which left Jessica in charge of the crew. She was the youngest member, but she knew more than anyone of the others, as she was my sister and I was cofounder of the 680’s.

“What are you gonna do now that we can’t get them out this time?”

“What about the other crews?”

“Jessica what are you gonna do about this?”

“Everyone just shut up for a second and let me think okay?!”

That only resulted in more questions and more noise. It wasn’t until I took myself in stepping up behind my sister which resulted in everyone shutting up. Even the crews that didn’t belong here shut up while I was standing there.

“What’s going on?”

My sister looked around confused and then turned around to face me.

“What are you doing here?”

“I’m here to check that you’re okay. I saw what happened in Hyde Park.”

“You’re not welcome here! You need to step back and go back to your precious little boy band and continue ruining everything in here for us. Just like you’ve done ever since you left.”

“You really think burning the studios are gonna help you guys anything. I’m not here to fight you I’m here to help you. I left the boy band. I left Danielle.”

“Why would you do that?”

“Because I don’t belong in some studios or on some big stage. I belong in the streets. It’s where I was raised”

Just as I finished speaking the entire house was sealed and the doors were being blocked.

“You’re lying!”

Jessica pushed me hard so I landed on the floor.

“Jessica listen to me! I have nothing to do with this! I swear I’m here to help you.”

“I swear I didn’t know they were following me!”

There were lots of police around us and we were all trying to escape, but there was no way out of this. We were pushed up against the walls and were being checked for drugs, and weapons. Like seriously? What would they think of us? We couldn’t be dancing if we were all fucked on drugs.

“Thanks for leading the way miss. Your first clue was great. I knew you were being transferred from the street and into the band’s crew.”

The officer from the park was standing right behind me. Apparently he had seen my face before. He knew me, but he had also seen me around the band in the magazines. That was why I didn’t want to be seen with them in public. I hated being like that… known by everyone.

I tried getting loose from the grip he had on my arm, but I was force to follow him out into the car, and so I did. I was placed in the car next to my sister, who looked at me really angry.

“This is your fault.”

“I know, but I swear I wasn’t trying to get you guys in. I didn’t tell them anything about the croft.”

“Why would I believe you? You picked some boy band over me. I have no reason to trust you.”

She turned around in her seat and stared out of the window. This wasn’t exactly how I imagined ending my Thursday afternoon.
