Something else happens which challenges their relationship and Bella is nothing short form torn.

33. To Be Touched

Niall's POV

I woke up and Bella still wasn't here. I checked the clock on my nightstand, 10:07 PM it read. I had only been sleeping for some hours. Damn, my nose hurt like hell. I sat up and there was a few beer bottles next to me, I guess I had drank a bit. My mind was a bit groggy, I wiped my eyes trying to wipe the sleep from them, and then there was a knock at my door. I ran to my door and swung it open. Bella stood before me,

"I love you Niall."

I tried to cram in an 'I love you' back at her but she crashed against me pinning me down on the bed sheets kissing me.

"I'll never leave you again." I twirled my fingers into her hair.

"I know." I breathed before I heard another knock on my door.

Liam stood before me, "Niall wake up man."

I sat up rubbing my eyes, "Bella she was just here!"

Liam gave me a puzzled look, "Wha?"

I looked around, no Bella, no sweet Bella leaning her head against my chest.

"I've must have been dreaming." I looked over, the beer bottles had been real though.

"Niall I-"

"No Liam no pity party, I'm not in the mood."

I trudged down the steps, slow taking my time, each step was careful, my feet planting onto the carpet, me savoring each step. I mean come on, there was nobody waiting for me at least now who I wanted it to be. Elly was in the kitchen looking the fridge then pulling out a take out container.

"Ug." she groaned.

I joined her and sat at the breakfast bar. I've never noticed before, but Elly looked like Bella. I mean, not physically but they had similar gestures, same smile. If I hadn't know any better I would have assumed they were sisters even though Elly was taller.

"Nialler want some of this Chinese take out. I don't want this."

I opened the container, there was a few pieces of sweet and sour chicken and some pork fried rice. I reached for the egg roll.

Elly lunged for it, shaking her head 'no'.

"Actually I want this." she said before stuffing it in her mouth. I ate some of the chicken then put the container back into the fridge.

Elly was about to leave, but I had to ask.

"Why is Bella leaving me?"

"Huh?"

"You're her best friend in the whole world next to Drake. But I need a girl's point of view on this."

I ran my fingers through my hair, I needed some god damn answers.

"Bella's never been the girl who was always in a relationship. Don't tell her I told you this but besides that ass hole Trent, you and Tanner were the only boys who ever took interest in her."

"Why?"

"She wouldn't put out," Elly shrugged. I gave her a look of confusion.

"Guys didn't want to date her because they knew she was all about ONLY having sex in a wed lock. She never was one to hook up with people, but she did with you. So you must've been somethin' special."

"I'm not anymore then? Must've refers to the past."

"Let me rephrase that, you ARE something special. Bella just felt pity for Tanner. She had two great guys who wanted her when nobody else would fit the bill and she doesn't want to let you guys slip away."

I kind of understood.

"She's the one who screwed it all up this time Niall. Wait, I me+an you never really screwed up it was a misunderstanding before. What I mean to say is I think you should let her come and apologize to you."

I was planning on going to find her but what Elly said was right. I had done all I could, now I had to wait. But 99% of the time waiting sucks.

Bella's POV

Tanner took me to Central Park, we walked and walked and walked until we made it to the Balto the dog statue. We sat on the statue, gosh it was cold and that's exactly what Tanner wanted. I shivered and he wrapped his arms around me, and kissed me hard on the neck. Sucking, knowing he was going to leave his mark. Niall's marks were fading away and soon Tanner's would replace them. Tanner was amazing, but for another girl. I lost Niall, I ditched him, and he deserved better but being here with Tanner wasn't right.

"No."

I pulled away from him, he had an erection, it disgusted me. The only guys I wanted to turn on was Niall. Come on, Bella pull yourself together. Tanner reached up for me, "No no no, forget about me, you need another girl but not me."

I ran and ran and ran until I couldn't. I don't know where to go, I've heard of stories of people getting lost in Central Park, and now I was one of those people. Some trees were up ahead. I ran to them and then I saw Tanner's figure run in the distance, "Bella...Bella! COME BACK!"

When he was gone, I did the only thing I could do, dance.

Niall's POV

I waited for Bella, I mean part of myself was. The other part of me liked being single again. I mean without having to worry if  every step I took was on broken glass. Apparently Drake bought more beer. The boys drank, Drake and Elly drank, and I drank. We were pretty much all drunk except for Liam, because he was always a cautious one toward his kidney, even now. He just watched us and laughed. I know in America only Louis is really the only one who is by law allowed to drink but come on. It seems like it's the most ignored law in this country next to simple traffic laws.

Bella's POV

I didn't bring my phone, I was such a god damn idiot. I tried to follow the path I had seen Tanner take earlier. But Central Park is huge and I just kept getting deeper and deeper, lost in it. I saw buildings in the distance, but I'm not even sure which side of the city we were on. Man I was in some deep shit. It was cold tonight, worse than usual. I sat there back against a tree. I could see my breathe, in the middle of summer. Just my luck, but I deserved it. I just sat and waited, waited for what you ask? I don't know but what I do know is that I'm lost. And in more ways than one.
