1. The Fog

Winter is indeed a harsh mistress of the cold. But yet, am I the opposite to it. But how? Is it my blood? Is it my body? Is it designed especially to keep out the cold? Maybe. But I cannot be certain. The breath of my lungs were like a Dragon's, like a foggy breathing fire. My hands white with what looked like frost, but to me, it just felt like spring. A warm spring day, that is what I long for...

I scanned the area over and over, no movement was shown, no voice was heard. Just have been my imagination. I turned back, and continued walking to the end of the alley. The fog grew denser as I traveled. I was going down hill slightly, might be that. My thoughts didn't seem to keep still, always switching and changing to something. Like a hyperactive child on Christmas morning.

Knock! Knock! Knock!

The wooden fence used as a door shook to the soft conflict. That must be what is following me! I crept up to the tall wood and peered through one of the many holes pierced through it's splintery skin...

Then everything went black.

But not before I saw something, something no human should ever see...
