For the love of my daughter {One Direction}

"I told you to stay out of my life Sam! You said you didn't want anything to do with her, so why do you suddenly care when she's happy!?"
"She's my daughter, I know what's best for her!"
"You know shit! You've never been here for her! You don't even know her! Just leave us alone!"
"I want her out of the media Alex!"
"She likes being with the boys!"
"I'm taking this to the police!"
"Yeah do that. I have the custody so you can do shit about it!"
I knew Sam had never liked One Direction, but taking them out of Caitlin's life now that she finally had them in real life wasn't fair, though I couldn't help but wonder if he was right. Was it really good for my daughter to be surrounded by the paparazzi whenever she was with one of the boys?
My name is Alexandria Griffin, but call me Alex, I'm an 18 year old model and mother for a 4 year old girl.

23. Picnic in Hyde Park

“Let’s get out of here for the afternoon.”

“What are you suggesting Harry? That we just leave everyone behind?”

“Just for the afternoon. We’ll take Caitlin and just get some time, just the three of us.”

“But she’s playing with Zayn in the living room right now, and you have the interview tonight.”

“I don’t care.”

We were lying in the bed in his room Monday afternoon, after we had picked up Caitlin from reception. It was the beginning of November, and I had had my first day at my new job today. I was exhausted and I just wanted some time off, but apparently that wasn’t what Harry had planned. He leaned in over my body and placed a gentle kiss over my lips before he smiled and stroke my cheek.

“You really wanna go?”

“Yeah. Just to celebrate your new work, and to get some of those thought out of your head.”

Ever since we had had that incident with Sam two weeks ago, I had been really silent and I had been thinking a lot. I had won everything, except from my brother’s trust. That was the only thing I hadn’t got back yet. Both my mum and Nick were still pissed at me and I partly understood them, but leaving me out of their lives for good was a bit too much.

Harry was right. I needed this. Instead of having the five boys around me all the time I needed some time where it would just be me and him and Caitlin.

“Give me 15 minutes to get ready. I wanna change into something a little more comfortable.”

“Just take your time.”

He kissed me again, before we both got up from the bed and started running around the room. I went out of the room shortly after I had gotten up from the bed, as I still had all of my own things in the room Caitlin and I had been given when we first moved in back in September. We had been living here for almost two months and I knew it was about time that I found my own place, but the thought of leaving my new boyfriend and a place my daughter really loved to be, was breaking my heart. I was in the middle of two things I really wanted to.

I opened the door into my room to find Zayn and Caitlin on the bed where Zayn was reading a story to her.

“Sorry for interrupting.”

“It’s okay, we’re almost done.”

“Good, because I need you to get Caitlin dressed as soon as you’re done reading.”

“Are you going somewhere?”

“Yeah, Harry, Caitlin and I are going out for a little picnic before you’re going to the interview.”

“You okay?”

“Yeah I’m fine. We just need to get a bit out and have some bonding time that’s all.”

Zayn continued reading while I found the close I wanted to where. I ended up choosing a black pair of leather skinny jeans, my Jeffrey Campbell lita shoes with Union Jack printed on them, and last but not least a dark grey oversized knitted shirt.

I went out into the bathroom where I changed into the clothes and freshened up my make-up. My hair was put into a messy bun, that I made sure looked extra messy.

When I walked back out into my room Caitlin was sitting nice with Zayn in the bed, all ready to go.

“Thanks Zayn.”

“You’re welcome.”

He hugged Caitlin and then got up and hugged me before I told Caitlin to go out into the hall.

She ran out wearing her shoes already, just like me, and then waited for Harry and I to come out in the hall.

I knocked on the door to Harry’s room, but found it empty.

I called down the hall, but I didn’t get an answer. When I got down to the living room I found him on one of the sofas wearing some really tight black jeans and a blazer with a white loose shirt under.

“You ready?”

“Yeah, coming.”

He got up from the sofa and found his way out into the hall with me right in front of him.

Caitlin stood all ready to leave just as I took my coat and same with Harry.

We pulled up close to Hyde Park, I knew exactly where Harry would go. We walked a bit through the park fooling around with Caitlin while she was holding our hands. We stopped outside this really beautiful place by the lake in the park. It’s called The Serpentine Bar and Kitchen. It was a lovely little place and we got some nice seats where people would actually leave us alone instead of asking questions all the time.

“So are you excited about the interview tonight?”

We had just ordered our food and drinks and had gotten our drinks already.

“Not really, I’m just gonna take it nice and slow. They are probably gonna ask about you.”

“About me?”

“Yeah, it’s the first interview since that incident two weeks ago, and they probably wanna know what’s going on.”

We small talked through the food and helped Caitlin when she was having trouble. It was all nice and slow until Harry started acting really weird.

“You okay hun?”

“Huh? Yeah I’m fine.”

He kept looking around, as if he was looking for someone who would come by.

“What are you looking for?”

But he didn’t have to answer before I heard Caitlin scream out.

“Uncle Nick!!”

My jaws dropped as soon as Caitlin made her way down the chair and ran across the floor to my older brother.

“You set me up didn’t you?”

“Guilty as charged.”

“You’re dead Styles!”

I warned him as I got up from the chair and over to Nick and Caitlin who was smiling to each other while Nick had lifted her up and hugged her tight into her body.

“Hi princess.”

“What are you doing here?”

“You’re not still mad at me are you?”

“Me mad at you? You left me out when one of your friends threatened getting my daughter taken away from me. When I was lying sleepless for nights! When I was stalked and he showed up at my address! YOU GAVE HIM OUR ADDRESS NICK!”

“Look don’t make a scene in here. I don’t like the camera as much as you do. Let’s sit down and talk about it nice and slow.”

I shook my head but soon we were sitting by the table. Harry had taken Caitlin out in the park to play with her just outside the restaurant.

I looked at Nick, crossing my legs and making sure that he knew I was the one with the power now.

“Look I’m sorry Alex, but Sam really wanted to be a part of it. I thought I was doing the right thing.”

“You know I made him go to prison right? For stalking, trespassing and threatening me.”

“Yeah I know. I’m sorry things didn’t work out between you guys. I’m sorry that I haven’t realized how happy you were now that you’re living with your favourite boy band. It’s just too surreal for me to work with.”

“But look at her Nick. Look at my daughter! She’s happy. Look at me. I’m with a person I love with all of my heart. He actually understands me, compared to how I’ve ever been understood. He never judged me for being a mother in such a young age. Neither of his friends has done it to me either and they’ve all been welcoming me with open arms and warm hugs. They’ve taken care of my daughter. Picked her up from the reception, played with her in the afternoon. They’ve taken care of me. Comforted me when I’ve been crying and taken over when I’ve had too much and needed a break.”

“I know Alex. I know. I’ve said I’m sorry. You were right this time even though I don’t like it. I’m really, really sorry Alex, for all the things and I said and all the things and did and didn’t do. I can regret it all I want but it won’t change it. All I’m asking is for you to forgive me and start talking to me again.”

“I will, but you listen to me. And you listen to me carefully Nicholas Griffin! If Sam is coming near me or my daughter again because of you, I’ll personally cut of both of your balls and feed them to you. Are we clear?”

“Yes ma’am”

We both started laughing and then I got up from the chair and gave him a hug.

“I’ve really missed you Nick.”

“I missed you more sis.”

We sat there and spoke for a while before Nick got up from the chair.

“It was really nice catching up with you Alex.”

“You too.”

“Now don’t let me be a stranger to you.”

“Trust me I won’t.”

I hugged Nick again before I saw him walk outside where he sent Harry back into me.

The afternoon ended soon after this. Harry drove to the interview securely followed by security and I was followed back home by another security guard.

I lay down on the sofa watching cartoons with Caitlin when we got back. Just enjoying having the entire house to ourselves. I felt relieved when we lay there. I felt as if something really heavy had been lifted off of my shoulders and I was glad that I was now able to speak with my brother again. It all seemed to be getting really good to me again. At least for now…
