Stolen Innocence

"I don't want to let you go," he smirked, spinning me around.
"Well I do, I don't like you. I gave you what I had, and you just took more. In fact, you took all I had left. and now you have the nerve to-" I was cut off by his lips on mine.
I kneed him where the sun don't shine and walked away, trying to find the other four boys in the crowd.

1. Krista Evans

To an insider they understand my pain.

They understand my confusion.

They understand my defensiveness.

They understand that my actions make complete sense.

They understand my nightmares.

They understand my past.

To an insider I'm not just some bottle-headed 18 year old girl.

Though most of the world consists of outsiders, they just see me as I appear.

Normal and simple.

I don't mind.

Because, if they truly understood me, they'd give me pity.

That's something I don't need nor want.

I don't need to be that charity chase that everyone acts nice too just because they feel bad for them.

I don't need a boy asking me out because they want to be nice.

What did happen to me is in the past.

I can't change it no matter how hard I try.

I just continue living my life.

Because nobody can take the bad things away.

So why waste time hoping that the memories and nightmares will disappear?

We all know that they won't.

There's just no point.

How I deal through my nightmares is not through cutting, or burning, or starving, or any of that bullshit.

I can promise you that I am 100% free of those things.

Because instead of wallowing in self pity, I lose myself in music.

Every Saturday, I go to the park and sing.

I wouldn't say I sound of an angel, but I don't resemble a dying animal either.

I just do it to clear my head and let the emotions out.

My name is Krista Anne Evans.

I was born in Alabama.

I lived there until I was 16.

Currently, I resign in Charlotte, North Carolina.

I live with my widowed aunt.

Now, I bet all of you want to know about my past.

Well, I say no.

Trust is something that I have an issue with.

Especially with the male gender.

That's all I'm saying.
