2. Move In

Chapter 2: Move In

“Morgan, I know this is really soon, but I love you and I want to spend the rest of my life with you.” Jason says on his knee, opening a small box exposing a diamond ring.

“Jason, we are only 16. Don’t you think this is too soon?” I say with tears in my eyes.

“You’re never too young to love.” He grabs my head and kisses the top of it.

            I smile and nod, “Yes.”

“Morgan, we are here.” Jason says standing up.

            “What?” I say confused.

“Morgan, wake up.” He says and I jolt awake.

It was just a dream. I am kind of upset that it was a dream but also relieved.

“Huh?” I say to my mom who pulls into the drive way of our new house.

“We are here. Isn’t it gorgeous?” She says smiling at the house.

Whoa, the house is huge and beautiful! I would never expect to live in something like this! Ever! It was wide and white with brown roofs. It had a four car garage. The grass was alive and had beautiful, colorful flowers. The driveway was brick and the door was tall. It opened into a large, open living room. It was furnished with white couches and white carpet. The curtains are white, the coffee table and TV stand are light brown. The kitchen had a blue color tone to it and the bathroom had a tan tone. I walk up the wide, winding stairs to my room. It was purple with a king size bed and a white couch also. It had French doors that lead to a balcony that look over the large pool in the backyard and a large grass area. My room had a walk in closet that could be a room itself and I also had a bathroom to myself.

I lay down on my bed and think of everything that happened the last couple of years.

I remember the very first day of high-school. I walked onto the campus and everyone looked at me weird. I felt so alone and isolated. The classes were so hard considering it was the middle of the school year. I sat alone at lunch under a tree. No one introduced themselves to me. I even tried but they just pushed me away. There was that one boy that you catch always looking at you from afar. That boy was Jason. After the first couple of weeks I began to make friends. Jason was friends with one of the girls I made friends with. She introduced him to me and we clicked right from the start. We were known as the schools couple of the year. We always held hands and he walked me to all my classes. He took me out for ice cream all the time. Our first kiss was on our 3 month anniversary. Yeah I know, seems a little long for the first kiss but we both wanted to take it slow. We were at the lake and we had a campfire set up. I went with his family and they all went to bed early that night. Jason and I snuck out of our tents. We walked down to the fire hand in hand. The stars were out and the moon was full. The night was lit up by fireflies. Jason and I laid down looking at the stars, no other night could’ve been better. That was the first time he said he loved me. I loved him too. He rolled over on his stomach and he leaned down and kissed me. I could have sworn people were cheering and fireworks were going off but it was just me. I knew we were perfect for each other. Jason and I travelled to places with his family and my family would join to sometimes. We went to Brazil, Hawaii, and toured the rest of Europe, visiting Spain, Paris, France, Italy and Rome. The past two years with him were amazing. I am going to miss him so much. I definitely cannot wait to see all the new stuck up people I have to meet this time.

There is a knock at my door and it slowly opens with the sound of my mom’s voice.

“Morgan, how do you like the place? Nice huh?” She says looking at the room.

“I really love it actually!” I say sitting up on the bed.

“You know you have school tomorrow. Well you just have to go and register then you get a tour of the school.” My mom sits on the end of my bed.

“Really? They don’t have break this week?” I plop back down on the bed and rub my head.

“No, but tomorrow it is Friday so you get the weekend.”

“I guess that’s fine. Am I going to be in older classes again?”

“I don’t know you will find out tomorrow,” My mom gets up and walks towards the door, “Oh, could you come outside for a minute, I have to give you something.”

I stand up and walk down the stair and to be honest I got a little lost. But I finally found my way to the garage. I open the garage and as it opens I see the wheels of a car I haven’t seen before. It definitely isn’t my mom’s car or the moving trucks. But it’s a new black Hummer. No way.

“Surprise! Happy half birthday!” My mom says standing on the side of the car with open arms.

“No way! Is this really mine?” I say running to the car.

“Oh no, it’s the cats,” she says lowering her arms, “of course it’s yours!”

“Mom, I love you!” I hug her and then hop into the front seat of the car.

This move might not be bad at all. All I need now is Jason to move in.

I wake up to my alarm and I feel relaxed for once. I stand up and look outside. Yep, still in the new house. I run downstairs and put on the radio and start dancing to the song, Locked out of Heaven by Bruno Mars.

I make myself some pancakes and an omelet. I finished my breakfast and run upstairs to pick out some decent clothes. I might as well because I will be wearing uniforms for the rest of the year. Back in America we didn’t have to wear uniforms but it seems like every school in the UK has uniforms. At least the schools I have been to have all required uniforms.

I pick out a light pink hi-low skirt and a white sweater. I put my hair into a side braid and throw on purple sandals. I put on a cross necklace and pink and gold bracelets. I give myself a light smoky eye. I grab my bag and keys and walk to my car. It feels so good to say “my car.” I put the directions on the dash board and drive to the school. It is about 5 minutes away and it is a very large school. I get out of my car and walk to the front office. Once again, I am looked at like I am an alien but I ignore it. People around me start to whisper, “Who is she? What is she wearing?” and some guys say, “Who’s the new girl?”

I roll my eyes and finally reach the front office. I walk up to the desk and the lady there looks nice, but I was mistaken.

“Yes?” The old lady says giving me a glare and looks up and down my body.

“I am here to register.” I say as nicely as I can.

“You know this school requires a uniform right?” She says in a sassy tone.

“Yes I do, but I don’t have a uniform.” I shoot back at her.

“Here, you need to fill out these papers then you can come back up here and I will give you a schedule and I will get someone to give you a tour of the school.” She hands me a stack of papers.

            “Could I borrow a pen?”

She hands me a flower pen, “Need anything else Princess?”

“No thanks, I am just fine thanks for asking.” I turn and sit down in a chair.

I fill out the papers and the door opens letting in a cool breeze. A tall boy with brown curly hair walks through the door. He turns and we make awkward eye contact. He turns and walks to the desk and whispers something to the lady behind the desk, and they both look at me.

She hands him a piece of paper and he whispers some more to her. All I can hear is her responses.

            “I don’t know… I highly doubt it with her attitude… Maybe… I will Harry…”

“Harry” smiles at her then turns and leaves glancing at me once more and walks out with a smirk on his face.

He must be one of those players, he must have asked her if I was single. I wish I wasn’t but I am. I could just say I am taken though.

I finish my papers and walk back up to the grumpy old lady.

“Here you go.” I hand her the stack of papers and pen.

She looks at the papers and hands me my schedule. Great all advanced classes.

“Hey, could you show her the campus?” She turns around to face the back, where a boy with blonde hair walks out. He walks over to me and smiles.

“Hi, my name is Niall. Could I see your schedule?” I hand him my schedule and we walk out the door.

“You are only sixteen and you’re in eighteen year old classes? Wow!” He says and I blush a little.

“Yeah, I don’t really like it.” I say.

“Well don’t worry you’re in one of my classes so I will help you out with it.” He say walking me to the first class.

Calculus.

“Here’s your first class.” He opens the door and we walk to the back of the room and everyone turns and stares at me.

“He’s a good teacher. But be aware of the guy with the buzz, he’s a weird guy.” He says chuckling.

“Hey, Horan! Watch yourself!” The guy with the buzz yells across the class.

We leave the class and walk to my second and third class. Niall is really nice. Maybe this won’t be so bad. He shows me where you eat lunch and the fields where all the jocks play soccer, including him. The campus is so large and detailed we visit each class with the passing periods. So, I visit all of my classes at the same time of each class would be when I start. He tells me about each teacher and I find out we have our third class together which is Drama. He walks me to my fourth, fifth and sixth classes.

I scout and look to see if the Harry guy is in any. Of course he is in the back corner smirking. He is in my last two classes. Why!

“What is up with that Harry guy?” I ask Niall.

“He’s interesting. Just stay clear of him okay?” He says and I nod.

I get through the rest of the day and finally get to go home and relax for the weekend.

Thank god.
