Bound [Book #1]

They are connected by the fact that they've all died and been brought back.

This is a trilogy. Look for the other two books:

19. Nineteen.

“What did you do?” I asked. I tried to keep my voice steady. “You mean Mira is part of the hunters and you knew this whole time?”

Graham shook his head. “I wasn't sure. I just dismissed it as a crazy woman. Goddamnit. I'm sorry.”

“But you knew who she was?” I said.

“Yes,” he muttered. Then he looked at Terry. “I want to find her. I want to tell her to call Jev off. He might listen to her.”

Terry shook his head. His eyes, if possible, darkened. “It's not possible. Mira always had her way of doing things, and she wouldn't listen to some 'little boy with a hero complex.' Sorry. She said that to me once. Trust me, I've tried to stop her. You're not the only one.”

“Whatever,” Graham said. “I thought you didn't know her?”

Terry moved his hair out of his face. “I never said that.”

“You never said anything,” Graham shot back. “You never said you knew her. That you talked to her. That she tried to get you to join her.”

“Because she didn't,” Terry told him quietly, though his voice was sharp. “You're not the important one right now, Graham. I'm so sick of you thinking this whole group revolves around you.”

Graham didn't even flinch at his words. Instead he did something stupid. He punched Terry in the jaw. He watched his best friend fall to the ground, then looked at me.

“Go talk to Mira,” he said. “She's the only one that knows where Jev is.”

I glared at him while Julia helped Terry.

“You're such a bastard,” I hissed. “Are you forgetful? Mira is part of the hunters. I'm not going to 'talk' to her. She's just going to kill me.”

“Maybe not,” he said. “Maybe she'll change her mind. From what you told us, she seemed very intrigued by you.”

“It was an act,” Julia said as she straightened up.

Terry walked into another room, and neither Jules or I blamed him for that. I didn't say anything, because I knew she was right. She had probably wanted to say something to Graham for a long time, and now was her chance.

“What the hell are you talking about?” Graham snapped.

Julia bit the inside of her cheek. “She is playing Vivian, can't you at least see that? She does.” Her violet eyes connected with mine.

Graham stared at us, then headed toward the door. “If you guys and Terry are going to be on her side, I guess that leaves me no choice. If you're too afraid to do this, then I will.

“You could get yourself killed!” I shouted, stepping forward. I gripped his wrist to stop him, and was rewarded with the worst vision yet.
