I Know You're There: Malevolent Innocence

*Conclusion to the I Know You're There trilogy* Reuben's dead. Never to return. Tori doesn't grieve, she gets on with her life. In fact, her and Damien's wedding is coming up. Sure, she loves him, but not like she loved Reuben. Everything's fine; absolutely fine. Despite the fact she cries herself to sleep, and prays for Reuben to come back every moment, everything's fine. What am I saying? It's Tori Hills, nothing's going to be fine, especially when she's about to devote her life to the wrong guy. 'I swear, if mine and Reuben's love was fire, we'd be nothing, but ash.'

7. 'So, you ready to meet your long lost lover?'

I cringed, and quickly looked away. I did not want to know what was going on. Wincing, I opened one eye, to see a full on fight. Oh, fantastic, absolutely flipping fantastic.

Growling, I got out of the booth, and stormed out of Costa, heading straight for them. Damien had managed to swing that punch at Drake, and he replied with a cheap groin shot, with his knee. Damien was doubled over in agony, as Drake lunged, going for a head lock.

Internally groaning, I sucked in a deep breath, "Leave each other alone!" I demanded.

Suddenly, Damien ripped away at the sound of my voice, obeying me, but Drake had other ideas. He basically leapt at Damien, but he fought it off, making Drake stand normally. They were probably equal in strength, but I could see that Drake had the stamina.

"If you touch my fiancé ever again, you won't know what hit you," I hissed, jabbing my finger into Drake's chest.

At first, Drake looked a little shocked, but he saw through my lie, and took it as his exit point. Smirking at Damien he mouthed something assumably provoking at him, and walked away, a bounce in his step.

"Who the hell was that!?" I squeaked, putting my game face on.

"He's... I don't know," Damien lied, pulling me into a hug.

I pretended not to notice his lie, and hugged him back. Honestly, though, what on earth was I playing at? Instead of just telling Damien I didn't want to marry him, Drake and I were playing all these little schemes. I was hurting Damien more and more, and he didn't even know it. Wow, Tori, you're a screw up...

"So, you ready to meet your long lost lover?" Drake teased, his eyes sparkling with excitement.

Rolling my eyes, I nodded, also excited. A friend of Drake's, called Shane, would be the one saying 'I object'. He had a girlfriend, who would also be there, and apparently she was cool with him doing it. If I was her, I certainly wouldn't be. Drake said she has her reasons, which drew me in even more. Maybe... Nope, I didn't have an alternative.

"Why are you making this so dramatic?" a girl asked, walking in.

We were at Drake's flat, after he somehow managed to get my mobile number. It kind of scared me, that he was able to purchase it without my knowing. I didn't care much, though, because that meant we could meet up, and make all the final arrangements.

I looked at the girl, and my bottom jaw dropped. Her hair was jet black, just below her shoulders, trimmed neatly. A dark rimming of eye liner brought out another pair of Angel eyes, the exact same glint Reuben had, no duller, no brighter. Her deep cheek curve, and pale skin just made her into an exact replica of Reuben, just as a girl.

"You... You..." I stuttered, unsure of what to say.

"Hey," she chirped happily, "I'm Ravenna, but everyone calls me Raven," she held out her hand, and I nervously shook it.

"Victoria - Tori, whatever," I managed to spit out.

"Trust me, I know who you are. How can I not know who my brother's true love is?" she grinned, and I frowned.

"You're Reuben's sister?" I murmured, piecing it together mentally.

"Yep, that would be me. Reuben and Raven Dane - great names, huh?" she giggled, sitting on Drake's sofa, just beside me.

"Uh, yeah," I frowned, so shocked.

"Tori, stop frowning, it doesn't suit you," Drake grinned, prodding my ribs with his elbow, but I just dismissed his jibe.

How the hell did I not know that Reuben had a sister!? They were clearly nothing alike, personality wise, though. Raven seemed bright, happy all the time, and very energetic. She seemed like she's be up for a party at anytime, and liked to enjoy her time. Whereas Reuben worried a lot, was more of an indoors person, and came off as timid. It didn't matter though, they were identical.

"I'm guessing Reuben never mentioned me?" she smiled sadly, the thought of her brother dampening her ecstatic mood.

"No, he didn't," I smiled back, trying to be sympathetic.

"Shane, hurry up!" Raven suddenly yelled, and once again, I clicked.

Raven was Shane's girlfriend. That's why she didn't mind him stopping me from marrying the wrong guy. It actually makes sense! But how come Reuben had never talked about her, or how did we never meet? Damn it, so many unanswered questions from him!

"No!" Shane yelled back, laughing.

His voice was fairly deep, and clearly very British. Drake had a tinge of American in his, like he was raised in the US, but had been living in England ever since. My accent wasn't really that prominent, it was a little bit of everything, really, but at the base, it was British.

"Come on, you're keeping your secret love waiting," Raven giggled.

"She waited five years, she can wait for another minute," Shane called back, humour in his voice.

This couple was definitely one of those funny, cute, adorable ones. Raven seemed to be the spirit side of it, and Shane seemed like the funny guy, doing anything to make his girl laugh.

Suddenly, Shane burst in, and I guess you could say I was surprised. He was nothing like I had expected. For some reason, I was expecting a bad boy, with the double denim, leather jacket look. Maybe a motorcycle helmet held under his arm, and languidly laced up leather boots. Random slashes in the jeans, which weren't designed to be there, but ended up being ripped into his clothing from fighting. I was expecting someone who I would absolutely hate - in reality, I had managed to develop a small crush on the guy named Shane Dawson.

"Whoa, you're so Reuben's type!" Shane imitated Raven's higher pitched voice, putting in a strong, posh accent.

"Hey!" Raven giggled, gently hitting his arm.

Speechless, I just gazed at him in awe. Okay, so Reuben was stunning, Damien was stunning, Drake was stunning, Shane was stunning, Raven was stunning... I started feeling like someone who was dragged out of the gutters.

His dark brown hair was straightened, and flicked across his forehead, his bangs trimmed neatly, just above his eyes. A chocolatey colour stole the orbs of his eyes, but a very deep chocolate, a rich, smooth one. His skin was fairly tanned, and for some reason, he just appeared to be Spanish, even though he clearly wasn't. He wasn't too tall, just average height, about five, seven. For his outfit, he wore dark red chinos, and a plain black tee, making him look like a bad boy. But then, I noticed the dimples that had arisen from his award winning smile, and the fluffy llama hat he was wearing.

"Nice hat..." I choked out, seriously not expecting another good looking guy.

"I know right, it's awesome," Shane laughed, patting the hat affectionately, "So, Miss Hills, you're the girl I'm madly in love with?" he raised an eyebrow, pretending to be all dramatic.

"Nah, she's next to you," Drake answered for me, gesturing at Raven, who was blushing insanely.

Shane grinned, clearly proud to have someone like Raven. I'd be proud if I had Reuben...

"You sure you're cool with me doing this?" Shane quickly checked, intertwining his fingers with Raven's.

"Yes! For goodness sakes, if someone doesn't stop her marrying the wrong guy, I'll protest myself!" she exasperatedly ranted.

"That would be... weird," Drake frowned, yet a smile tugged at the corners of his lips, "Dude, what was taking you so long?"

Shane blushed, diverting his gaze to the floor, "Um, my zip kind of broke..."

Immediately, the conversation was dropped, as I sat there, blushing. I wasn't exactly blushing from Shane's faulty, I just felt so ugly around them. They were all perfect, then I was just... me. I was insecure enough as it was, but then, bam, they walk in.

"Reuben was right, you're really easy to read," Shane pursed his lips, nodding his head towards me.

"You and Reuben talked?" I asked, totally changing the subject, just in case he embarrassed me by spilling my thoughts.

"Well, duh, we were like besties," he joked, in a girly voice, "Nah, we were really close, but Damien has a habit of messing relationships up," he finished off, glancing at Drake.

"So I've heard, and experienced," I muttered, gazing into my lap.

"Why's he an Angel, again?" Raven thought out loud, automatically slapping her hand over her mouth, "Oh my gosh, did I say that out loud?"

We started laughing, and the tension eased, "Yeah, he has a charm, and you just can't refuse it," Raven mumbled.

"Much like your brother," I smiled, and she grinned back, pleased with the appraisal of her late brother.

"You're actually the first girlfriend of his who I like," she forwardly said, unafraid to admitting this.

"Wow, if he was here, you would so be dead," Shane gasped, pressing his hand to his chest in half-mock, half-real horror.

"Yeah, I know," Raven grinned.

Smiling, I met her soft gaze. Finally, I had a sister who would really understand me.

Song of the day (I don't know, it's just an amazing song, and I have to say so) - Second and Sebring - Of Mice & Men

This A/N is going to be really long, so I'm sorry, you can just give up reading if you want, or not, whatever.

After I finish I Know You're There - 3 *sniffs back tears and forces herself to continue typing*, I plan on starting up a new novel, which I will hopefully not give up on after three chapters. Anywho, I have two ideas, both are completely different, but I like the sound of each one equally... so... I want YOU, my jahmazing (sorry if you don't understand the jahmazing term) fans, to pick for me! If anyone actually comments, that is...

Numero uno: Life as an Outcast - Romance/realism.

Numero dos: Russian Roulette - Thriller/horror/mystery

Life as an Outcast - I'm an outcast. I was yesterday, I am today, and I will be tomorrow. What do I care? I don't care at all. Okay, maybe a little. Maybe I'd kill to have one friend with whom I shared my unfortunate past with. But that's the thing, I have a barrier, and you'd have to be pretty damn special to change that... * Everyday, Avery is tormented by anyone and everyone. It's a shame they don't know they're slowly killing her. It's a shame they don't know they're starving her. It's a shame they don't know they're cutting her. I guess it's also a shame Avery doesn't know about her English co-teacher, Jayce White.

Russian Roulette - Adelaide's boyfriend's Dad, owns a weaponry and ammo warehouse. As a dare, her, Caleb, and three more friends spend the night there. A game of Russian Roulette starts up, and some lives are stolen. She's under a death sentence, but they have to catch her first. Soon, Adelaide's entire life turns into a game of Russian Roulette, dodging bullet after bullet, some from her own boyfriend, but is this one she can win, or does she hold the gun to her own temple?

So, um, I'd really appreciate it, if you could comment which one you'd prefer for me to write, and you to read, if you want? Damn, I'm really innocent sometimes... It just annoys me when you're reading a Movella, and at the end of each chapter the author is all like "Read all of my movellas or you shall be doomed to death" or something of that sort...

Please? *Reuben pouts from heaven, giving you the puppy dog eyes* <-- reject that, I DARE YOU.

Right, um, thanks guys, adios! x

It's totally irrelevant, but I find it hilarious that 'Movellas' isn't recognised in Movellas' spell check... I'm a sad person, okay?

Bye, my IKYT readers/people who read so they can mock me, delete where appropriate XD
