Angels From Opposite Planets

Angel is just a normal fourteen year old girl...Well, almost normal. She must fight certain things including her past to recover her identity and her safety. If not, well, you don't want to know. This is a story of adventure, a little romance, and a lot of fun.

6. On The Cruise Ship

We got on the ship and were soon off to England, our first stop. I thought I would probably get off the ship there, since my 'special angel map' was telling me that I needed to go to a little cafe somewhere there. The map was old, so I couldn't quite read the street names, but my necklace would glow when I was near powerful magic. Dad, oh that hurt thinking of him, put a little tracker in the necklace. That would be a problem if anyone got to it. They could easily change settings on it. But I had it password protected, so I didn't think it was going to be a problem. I knew it wouldn't be, actually.

"Look at this awesome jacket I got!" Alexis lifted it up for me to see.

"Alexis, I..." I lowered my gaze, regretting that I opened my mouth.

"What is it, honey?" We looked at me patheticly.

"Nothing, just...thanks for not making me go back to the orphanage." Now I regretted ever opening my stupid mouth.

"No problem, sweetie. I didn't want you to be miserable." Alexis took of my map, unrolling it since it was a scroll. But to the human eye it was just a blank scroll.

"It's a..." I had to think of something clever. "It's just a cool piece of paper...thing." What the heck did I just say it was? I didn't even know!

"Weird. I'm going to get a bite to eat, wanna come?"

"Nah, I'm not hungry." I just didn't feel like talking. "I'll just sit in the sun." I put my sunglasses on and recline in the chair.

"If anything is wrong, you can tell me." Alexis got up and looked down at me.

"Nothing is wrong. Go eat." She walked away.

As soon as she was gone I got out the map to see where we were.

I looked around me and then said to the map, "Aperio." The map glowed and showed me a short sentence.

What you seek will hide.

What did that mean? Obviously, Jesse was going to hide. Part of me didn't know why I was following him. He hadn't done anything to me. I opened the scroll again and said, "Faveo." The map glowed again.

Help those in need, give them warmth.

Did that mean the poor? No, it couldn't be that easy. 'Help those in need.' I thought of everything that had happened.

"Lilly." I whispered.

'Give them warmth.' Did it mean literally? No...Of course! Give her my friendship! I needed to find Lilly and ask her for forgivness. I closed the map and put it away. I knew what I had to do.
