Forbiddingly Seeing You and One Direction

"Are you still mad at me?" Dylan asks.

I shake my head and smile.

"Good. Then I can do this without you yelling at me."
He says. He kisses me. Now that neither of us was shocked or surprised. It was beautiful. It was like it was my first kiss.

Magical.
Magnificent.
One of a kind.
Like that one dime in a stack of pennies. Only to me, it was priceless. Like it'd never happen again.
But stories about a princess and a prince falling in love NEVER have happy endings.

This is no Romeo and Juliet story, mainly because no one dies in the end but mostly because I never wanted to be like this in the first place.

This is the story of an ordinary boy and and ordinary girl but in unordinary propositions.

This is a story about being sneaky, smart, young, and of royal families. This is about ending a stone-aged war, sneaking in castles in the night, wanting to be normal, going undercover, but most of all this is the story of us. By us I mean Dylan, 1 Direction, and me.

Hi, I'm Kayla. When I was just six my mom told me the story of why the Lordax Kingdom (my kingdom) and the Dalmanac Kingdom have been at war. Now it's up to me and Dylan. Oh and One Direction, to stop the war.

13. Stop In The Royal Name Of Love

Chapter 12

Stop In The Royal Name Of Love

The church doors swing open and I see 6 familiar faces. But it's the boys and Sarah. No Dylan.

"Stop!" Harry yells.

"In the name of love!" Louis continues.

"Your late," I mutter.

Liam goes up and moves in place of the preacher.

"There's been a change of plans." Liam announces. "I've seen Dylan and Kayla grow to like each other to the point that they can't be separated. When Dylan and Kayla got into a fight, I knew they could get through it. Dylan and Kayla are meant for each other. So Dylan get your butt out here!"

I see Dylan start to walk down the isle looking very handsome.

"Kayla, I know you probably thought I was dead. Just so you know, I'm not a ghost." Dylan says.

I was already in tears of joy. Dylan wasn't dead! I guess I was right when I said no one dies in the end. But what happens next I was not prepared for. Dylan gets on one knee and pulls out a diamond ring.

"Kayla will y-" he's cut off.

"No! No! No! No!" Ben's dad yells. Standing up. "Tera! You told me nothing was gonna happen like this!"

Why was he talking to my mom? What's going on?

"I didn't think he'd show up! Those people I had sent to get Kayla said they'd killed him!" My mom yells back. Also standing up.

"Unless you can get this kid out of here the deals off!" He yells.

"Guards! Get Dylan!" My mom screams.

Dylan's taken away from me again. He tosses the diamond ring. I catch it.

"Dylan! Please! Let him go!" I scream. Pulling on the guards arms. "Please!"

"Shows over folks," Liam says as him, the boys, and Sarah exit the church building. Before Sarah leaves she gives me a note then runs away to the boys.

"Take Kayla to the tower!" My mom orders.

"No please!" I scream as they carry me to the tower. "Please! No! I need Dylan!"

They toss me in the tower and lock the door behind me.

"Please! Dylan help!" I yell banging on the door. "Dylan please," I whisper.

A piece of paper catches my eye so I walk over to get it. Written on it is: "I have a deal for you Tera. If you have Kayla marry Ben, I'll give you 100,000 and I won't tell anyone what you've done in the past. I don't want Ben to marry Ashlyn. I've had a recent argument with her mom and I don't want to be related even by marriage to an old hag. So what do you say? Are you in?

~ Jerry"

Oh! That hurts! So I'm just a piece in my moms stupid little game?

"I used to think one day we'd tell the story of us, How we met and the sparks flew instantly,

People would say, "They're the lucky ones." I used to know my place was a spot next to you, Now I'm searching the room for an empty seat, 'Cause lately I don't even know what page you're on." I sing.

"Oh, a simple complication,

Miscommunications lead to fall-out. So many things that I wish you knew, So many walls that I can't break through." Dylan sings.

"Dylan?" I ask.

"I'm in the wall next to your room," he answers.

"Dylan! Oh my god!" I run to the wall and sit down.

"Keep singing," he says.

"Now I'm standing alone in a crowded room and we're not speaking, And I'm dying to know is it killing you like it's killing me, yeah? I don't know what to say, since the twist of fate when it all broke down, And the story of us looks a lot like a tragedy now." My singing starts to sound funny cause I start to cry.

"Next chapter," Dylan continues.

"How'd we end up this way? See me nervously pulling at my clothes and trying to look busy,

And you're doing your best to avoid me. I'm starting to think one day I'll tell the story of us,

How I was losing my mind when I saw you here, But you held your pride like you should've held me." I sing.

"Oh, I'm scared to see the ending,

Why are we pretending this is nothing? I'd tell you I miss you but I don't know how, I've never heard silence quite this loud." Dylan sings that.

"Now I'm standing alone in a crowded room and we're not speaking, And I'm dying to know is it killing you like it's killing me, yeah? I don't know what to say, since the twist of fate when it all broke down, And the story of us looks a lot like a tragedy now." We both sing.

"This is looking like a contest,

Of who can act like they care less,

But I liked it better when you were on my side." Dylan sings.

"The battle's in your hands now,

But I would lay my armor down

If you said you'd rather love than fight." I continue singing.

"So many things that you wished I knew, But the story of us might be ending soon. Now I'm standing alone in a crowded room and we're not speaking," Dylan sings.

And I'm dying to know is it killing you like it's killing me, yeah?" I sing.

"I don't know what to say, since the twist of fate when it all broke down, And the story of us looks a lot like a tragedy now, now, now. Now I'm standing alone in crowded room And we're not speaking, I'm dying to know is it killing you like it's killing me, yeah? I don't know what to say, since the twist of fate 'cause we're going down, And the story of us looks a lot like a tragedy now." Dylan finishes.

"It's killing me," I say. Putting my hand on the wall.

"Me too," Dylan says.

I think of all the memory's I've had with the boys and Dylan.

"Hey Kayla, I drew you!" Niall said. Holding up a child-like drawing.

"Oh don't worry Kayla," Liam said "That's just a myth. There is no such thing as ghosts."

"Hey Rapunzel, let down your hair!" Dylan yelled

"No Dylan! I thought it was you! I like YOU-OR FACE!" I said.

"Who are you?" The boy said. The boy had a British accent.

"I'm Kayla. Princess of Lordax. You gotta problem with it?"

"No not at all. In fact... thats who we were going to see."

They took off their hoodies.

"I'm Harry." A curly haired boy announced in a British accent.

"I'm Louis" another said. Very loudly. Again British accent.

"I'm Liam." another boy said said. A little quite.

"I'm Zayn." A dark haired boy said.

"And I'm Niall!" A bright blonde haired boy said. He had an Irish accent.

"And we're One Direction!" They said. Simultaneously.

~~*~~~~*~~

I reach into my pocket to find the ring and the note Sarah gave me.

I unfold the note and read the contents.

Dear Sarah,

Even when the going gets tough, I want you to know there is always a way out. Even in the most toughest situation, know that you have people willing to help you.

Love,

Mom

Always a way out...

Even in the most toughest situation...

People willing to help me...

So many walls that a can't break through! That's it! We have to break through the wall.

"Dylan! We need to break through the wall!" I yell.

I find a broom in the corner and bang it in the wall. Rocks tumbling to the ground.

Die wall! Die! When I'm done with you, you'll be a pile of pebbles! Die!

The wall crumbles and makes an opening at the bottom. I crawl through it to see Dylan on the other side.

"Kayla!" Dylan gasps as he runs up to hug me.

I wrap him in a tight hug. Only to be taken away from him once again.

"No you can't take her!" Dylan yells. Pulling at the guards arms.

Another guard gets Dylan an drags him out the door and down the stairs.

Back at the church I'm faced with the same situation. Only this time, it's Sarah who's in trouble. They have her at gunpoint. Blackmail!

"If you don't marry Ben," my moms says. "I'll be forced to kill your friend,"

I don't say anything but continue walking. I see Dylan forced down on a seat in the pews. All this is one train reaction. Only one good thing comes from marrying Ben. Sarah stays safe. 5 bad things come from marrying him. I'm miserable, Dylan's heartbroken, Ashlyn's heartbroken, Ben's heartbroken, and I'm heartbroken.

I need one of Dylan's plans now more than ever.
