Forbiddingly Seeing You and One Direction

"Are you still mad at me?" Dylan asks.

I shake my head and smile.

"Good. Then I can do this without you yelling at me."
He says. He kisses me. Now that neither of us was shocked or surprised. It was beautiful. It was like it was my first kiss.

Magical.
Magnificent.
One of a kind.
Like that one dime in a stack of pennies. Only to me, it was priceless. Like it'd never happen again.
But stories about a princess and a prince falling in love NEVER have happy endings.

This is no Romeo and Juliet story, mainly because no one dies in the end but mostly because I never wanted to be like this in the first place.

This is the story of an ordinary boy and and ordinary girl but in unordinary propositions.

This is a story about being sneaky, smart, young, and of royal families. This is about ending a stone-aged war, sneaking in castles in the night, wanting to be normal, going undercover, but most of all this is the story of us. By us I mean Dylan, 1 Direction, and me.

Hi, I'm Kayla. When I was just six my mom told me the story of why the Lordax Kingdom (my kingdom) and the Dalmanac Kingdom have been at war. Now it's up to me and Dylan. Oh and One Direction, to stop the war.

3. Royally Grounded

Chapter 2
Royally Grounded

"Good morning sleeping beauty" Dylan said facing me.

"Mmmmm" I groaned.

"Hey as much as I'd like to stay I really have to go"

"Okay" I mumbled getting up. I stumbled over things. I had a drunk walk. I wasn't used to going to bed that late at night.

"Woah! Major bed head" Dylan said.

"Speak for yourself" I mumbled.
I walked to the fridge, poked my head in the freezer and closed my eyes.

~A few seconds later~

"Ahhhh! That's cold! That's cold!" I screamed pulling my head out of the fridge.

"Is that how you... normally wake up?" Dylan asked.

"Only in desperate measures"

I ran to the ladder and and climbed up to the top. I pushed at the door. It didn't move. I pushed at the door harder.

I swerved out of the way as the box whooshed past me.

"Look out below!" I yelled looking down. The box hit Dylan right in the face. He fell to the floor and screamed in pain.

"Oh God! My life flashed before my eyes!" He yelled.

I climbed down the ladder and kicked his back. He rolled over on his back.

His eye. Woah! That looked painful. I dropped to my knees and moved my face towards his. He sat up and inched his face toward my.

"Woah! Not comfortable with the sudden closeness" I said backing away from his face.

"Hey you started it first" he said throwing his hands up.

I ignored him and climbed back up the ladder and back into my room.

"Mom?" I said.

"W-w-what are you doing here?" I asked. Smiling like an idiot and looked around.

"I came to tell you that you have an interview today"she said.

"The real question is, what are you doing in the basement?"

"Ummm... I-I umm" I stammered.

Dylan poked his head up from the basement.

"What is he doing here?!" My mom yelled.

"I-I-uhhhh" I stammered again.

"You are forbidden from entering this castle Dylan! You have no right to be here! Now get out!" My mom demanded.

"Yes ma'am" Dylan muttered. Rolling his eyes.

"I don't ever want to see you here again! You and your kind have no respect!"

"My kind" Dylan muttered. Barely hear able.

Dylan stomped out the front door. Obviously frustrated and furious. Poor Dylan. Oh wait crap! Poor me! Now I'll never here the end of it from my mom!

"Kayla, I would have expected more from you! You let this boy in the castle? He could of had destroyed this place! I'm ashamed of you Kayla! Setting a decoy too? That's not like you"

~10 minuets of scolding later~

"I don't wanna are you with him ever again Kayla" my mom yelled.

"But mom, you don't understand he's not like anyone else!"

"No buts Kayla! All Dalmanac's are thieves!"

"Mom he's not like them! Honestly!"

"Kayla just promise me you'll stay away from him?"

I shook my head.

"Well Kayla. You have an interview later. Also Kayla your grounded"

After that she left my room. As calmly as she had entered.

I kicked my dresser causing the picture of my family to fall. As it fell to the ground it shattered to pieces.

The pieces scattered everywhere. Then realization slapped me in the face. I needed Dylan or else I'd be like that picture.

I'd shatter.
I'd break.
I'd snap.

I'd go ballistic! I realized what I needed to do. I needed to leave. To join the society.

I'd get to see cars not limos. I'd get to eat pizza and doughnuts not crumpets or fancy bread. I would see world like its supposed to be. Real!

I walked to my desk. I picked up a piece of paper and a pencil.

Dear mom and dad,

I am running away. I need some space. I can't stay away from Dylan. You have to realize I need to see the real world! I'm 15 almost 16! And I've barely seen the outside the castle! Except for from the window of a limo.

Don't try to look for me because I'm not coming back until you can accept Dylan. He's not what you think. But until the. I'm not coming back!

Sincerely,
Kayla

P.S: Ha ha! I'm leaving while grounded! Bonus points! Heh heh heh!

I heard a tap at my window. I didn't need to look to know it was Dylan.

I sat the note on my bed and ran to the window. I started to climb down the trellis. Then the trellis started to tilt backwards.

Now it was my turn and my life flashes before my eyes. I thought I was gonna fall but the strangest thing is... I didn't!

Dylan caught me. I looked into his eyes and saw worry and concern.

"You alright?" He asked.

"I'm fine" I replied.

"Can I ask you something though?"

"What is it?"

"Will you runaway with me?"

"I'd love to"

"Under on condition"

"What's that?"

"You have to marry me."
