Forbiddingly Seeing You and One Direction

"Are you still mad at me?" Dylan asks.

I shake my head and smile.

"Good. Then I can do this without you yelling at me."
He says. He kisses me. Now that neither of us was shocked or surprised. It was beautiful. It was like it was my first kiss.

One of a kind.
Like that one dime in a stack of pennies. Only to me, it was priceless. Like it'd never happen again.
But stories about a princess and a prince falling in love NEVER have happy endings.

This is no Romeo and Juliet story, mainly because no one dies in the end but mostly because I never wanted to be like this in the first place.

This is the story of an ordinary boy and and ordinary girl but in unordinary propositions.

This is a story about being sneaky, smart, young, and of royal families. This is about ending a stone-aged war, sneaking in castles in the night, wanting to be normal, going undercover, but most of all this is the story of us. By us I mean Dylan, 1 Direction, and me.

Hi, I'm Kayla. When I was just six my mom told me the story of why the Lordax Kingdom (my kingdom) and the Dalmanac Kingdom have been at war. Now it's up to me and Dylan. Oh and One Direction, to stop the war.

12. A Royal Problem

Chapter 11

A Royal Problem

"Guys! The doors not opening!" Liam yells.

"It has to open!" I yell. "I'm claustrophobic!" My chest gets all tight. I start getting sweaty and my palms can't grasp anything. My breath turns to wheezing and my vision starts to blur.

"Let me out!" I scream. Banging on the door. Dylan grabs me and pulls me in a hug.

"Calm down Kayla. Your fine," Dylan try's to calm me.

I take deep breaths and calm down. Calm down Kayla. Calm down. I close my eyes.

Hey. I just realized something. Dylan's never told me whether he loved me or not.

"Hey Dylan, do you-" I'm cut off by the sound of breaking glass.

"Get her!" A stranger yells.

Before they can do anything, I just out of the window.

"Freedom!" I shout. Picking Louis's keys up off the ground.

I click the unlock button and they all come rushing out. I make a dash for the trees and climb up the one nearest to me. Dylan joins me. I see the boys climbing up other trees and Sarah hides behind a bush.

"Dang it! They got away!" The stranger yells. I see them dash for a black car and speed away.

I climb down my tree and walk to the parking lot and Dylan follows me. The boys were further away. Sarah still hid behind the bushes.

The black car speeds back up and runs Dylan over.

"Dylan!" I scream. "Dylan no!"

I run to him but the stranger throws me over their shoulder.

"No! Dylan!" I bang on the strangers back.

He throws me in the back seat of the car. My head bangs against the window and I become unconscious.

I wake up in my castle bed in a wedding dress. My mom is standing above me.

"You banged you head pretty hard," she says. Putting ice on my head.

"Why am I in a wedding dress?" I asked.

"Your wedding is today," she says. "You were out for a week. Your birthday was yesterday,"

"Who am I marrying?" I ask.

"Ben. Nobody can find Dylan. You weren't marrying him anyway," my mom answers.

"Dylan?" My bottom lip quavers and I can feel the tears forming in my eyes, as I remember what happened to Dylan.

"Now come on Kayla. Your mascaras running," my mom complains. "Now come on. It's time for your wedding,"

I thought nobody was suppose to die in the end. I thought we might've had a happily ever after after all.

The music that of been waiting for started to play. Only now it was the music that I dreaded hearing.

Ben was at the end. Looking down at his feet. I could see Ashlyn crying on the pews. Pity. For myself and Ashlyn. Dylan, why'd you have to leave me now? I started to walk down the isle.

Now came the vows.

"Do you Ben, take Kayla, to be you lawfully wedded wife?"

"I-I-I do," Ben looks down.

"And do you Kayla, take Ben, to be your lawfully wedded husband?"

"I-I," Stall! Stall! Stall! Runs through my mind. "I need to say something. I don't love Ben. I never have. I'm in love with Dylan, not Ben. I was forced into this. But I know it's something I have to do," Tears start streaming down my face.

"I-I-I," I stutter.
