Happy Days

After Lindsey and her boyfriend move in together, she becomes worried that she isn't happy. But can she remember the good days to remind her why she agreed?

18. Epilogue

"I want to get married," I looked over to the boy sitting next to me and he pulled down his sunglasses. We were in the front yard, sitting in the grass watching cars drive through the rarely busy street we lived on. "Yeah, me too. And have kids." I smiled to myself. "Oh? Kids?" It seemed like a crazy idea to me. "Yeah, just one. A girl that looked just as beautiful as her mom too." I couldn't help but stand up and pull him into a hug. "She could have your hair color, and my eyes." I looked up to him. "All the boys would go crazy over her." He looked down and kissed the tip of my nose. "I'd make sure that wouldn't happen. But, maybe we could get married. Maybe soon."

It started to rain and Niall picked me up, trying to get inside before we got soaked. "Wait, put me down, I have an idea." I pushed us both back into the rain, and it was beginning to get heavy. I kicked off my sandals and stood on my tippy toes so we were almost the same height. "Still not tall enough," he smirked, grabbing my waist and pulling me so tightly towards him, it felt as if we were stuck together by the rain. "So, what is it you wanted to do in the rain that was so important?" I laughed and looked at him, trying to keep serious, but it didn't work very well. His nearly brunette hair was matted to his forehead, and it was the cutest thing ever. Looking into his eyes, feeling him staring back at me was unbelievable, it felt like it was just us in the universe. Him and I alone, nobody to interrupt this moment.

It felt nearly perfect, and before I knew it his lips crashed onto mine, sending shivers everywhere. My heart raced and my cheeks were getting hotter, even with the rain pouring down on us. He pulled away and just held me there, holding me tightly and rocking me back n' forth ever so slightly. My heart slowed down and went back to a normal pace, but I was still as nervous as ever. "So is that what you wanted to do?" I nodded against his soaked shirt, and his heart was pounding just as fast as mine was. He drew little circles against the damp fabric of my shirt.

The front door swung open, and I heard two people come out onto the covered porch. "Get out of the rain!" I heard Liam shout. "You aren't getting her sick, we have plans tomorrow." I knew that voice, it belonged to Bella. The girl who dropped out of U.N.I. to live with me and our boyfriends, shortly after her and Liam became official. She was my best friend, and I couldn't help but laugh at her.

I grabbed Nialls hand and we walked out of the rain, where Li and Bella were waiting. It was perfect. Absolutely perfect.
