White Noise

A poem about the in between times of life. I wrote this poem whilst at University, which I hated and spent most of my time in the Starbucks above Cornmarket Street writing down my anger, just wanting someone to find me.

White Noise

TO be quiet is more than I could ever wish for,
BUT to be heard,
Without a whisper,
Or a word,
Of wanting to know insatiably,
Is more than I,
Could ever wish for,
But will you find my musings receptively.

I fear not, alas why I hide,
What a writer should write about in truth.
A mechanism so complex, you would have to reflex,
And think and think, about the lines that UNSINK
My bitter silent disillusion.
