Why Am I In Payne? (A Liam Payne Fan Fiction)

Alice. Seems like a normal name for a normal girl. But Alice can only dream of a normal life. She is homeless, and has been living on the street since she was eleven.
She gets hit by a car in order to save another life. But whose life? Liam Payne. Of One Direction.

6. I Think I'm Ready

Liam's POV

As we were walking in, that thing that was playing on my mind was still there. When I saw Alice lying there, pale and white, I couldn't help myself. A silent tear fell down my face, and I saw Louis next to me, probably thinking the same thing. I remembered the day I was walking down the street.

‘Well, I’m part of a band, One Direction.’ I said happily.

‘Wow, it really was your dream wasn’t it?’ she said to me. I looked at her surprised.

‘How can you tell?’

‘Your eyes are shining. You say it with pride. Any fool could tell you wanted it bad.’ she said. ‘Wait? One Direction? I think I’ve heard of them!’ She picked up the newspaper next to me and showed me an article. It says, “One Direction’s Album ‘Take Me Home’ Go To Number 1 In The US!”

‘Congratulations! I’m a bit late, but I can’t really tweet you, can I? she joked. I laughed.

‘What’s wrong?’ she said. Wow, she was so observant.

‘I have to go now.’ I told her. ‘But it was great talking to you. You’re really nice.’ I got up. ‘Bye,’ I said.

‘Bye,’ she said back as I walked down the road.

*Flashback Ends*

The road...

My head snapped up in realisation. The road! Of course.  know that road so well. Greensworth Avenue. I walk down there every day to get to the studio. 'Louis!'

'What, Li?' he asked me.

'Remember her bruises?'

'I doubt I can forget.'

'And you know how you said it was from people on the road?'

'It can't be!'

'What do you mean?'

'See, I walk down that road every day. The only people that ever walk down Greensworth Avenue are business men. I highly doubt any of them would do that to her.'

Louis' face changed in realisation. 'So then, how did she get those bruises?'

'I-I don't know. But Lou, don't ask her.'

'But then how are we supposed to find out?'

'We don't. She'l tell us if she want's to. When she's ready.'

'But can't I try finding out discreetly?'

'I was only joking Lili.'

'But where do you think she got them from?'

'I don't know.'

'But what if it's really serious? Like to do with her health and stuff?'

'Then she would have at least told the doctor.'

'But then the doctor would have told you, and she would have known that.'

'You're right, as always.'

'So what do we do now?'

'Like I said, she'll tell us when she's ready.'

'I think I'm ready.'

We both spin around to see Alice sitting up, looking intently at us.

Uh - oh. I thought. I think she heard it all.

(Picks up spoon and hands it to you.) I know. I haven't updated in ages. And by ages I mean AGES. But you know that.

I am sosososososososososososo sorry. D: I feel really bad. But I have no idea where this story is going. I started it on an idea, Liam getting saved from a car by a homeless person that ends up getting hit by Louis, but I don't know where to go from here.

Thanks for reading, but I might have to put this story on hold. Not for too long though. I've seen stories that say 'I'm putting it on hold' and then don't go back for a year and a half. I won't be gone that long. A couple months, tops. IF i decide to put it on hold. I'll keep you posted.

Thanks guys, love you all my carrots <3

Love Avery xxxx
