I Know You're There: Abducted Angels

*Sequel to I Know You're There, read that first*. Reuben and Tori have ran away. They've got a place to stay, and their fake ID's are working. The only thing is, Tori's 'abduction' story is currently the biggest segment of the news. Yep, Reuben is the World's most wanted. Nobody knows it's Reuben, though. Not only are the police after them, but there's a sick band of people, who want Angels. Not for good reasons, some for dissection, some for information. They're both after Reuben. But of course, there's more problems then that. Ex's, (new) family and money. But they're together, and that's all that matters... right?

22. 'I thought Ollie was your brother?'

I guessed having Damien was a relief. We were actually pretty close, and I was glad to have him. It was depressing knowing that I was most likely going to lose Reuben again. I was experiencing too many emotions to even start counting. Depression, relief, worry, fear, panic, I don't know. I was almost lost. Damien was the only person keeping me found - for the time being. Soon, I'd be lost, with nothing, but grief.

"This is probably the third time I've asked, but are you sure you're okay?" Damien said, about three hours after we'd arrived.

"No, and stop asking," I laughed, lightly poking his ribs.

"Hey, just looking out for you," he held his hands up in defence, but smiled anyway.

"Well, you're doing a good job. As soon as I get really bad, I'll let you know," I said, sitting at the kitchen counter.

"I don't know if that's a good thing, or not," Damien chuckled slightly, and sat beside me.

I laughed a bit, and just shrugged my shoulders, resulting in pain. I winced, but covered it up. It was surprising, how much my body ached, and protested at every movement.

"Has anyone told Cade or Bella yet?" I asked, picking one of my fingernails.

Damien frowned, "Who?"

I rolled my eyes at him, "My brother, and his girlfriend!" I whined, pretending to be annoyed with him.

"I thought Ollie was your brother?" he replied.

"Yeah, I have two," I rolled my eyes again, and assumed that they hadn't been told of my returning.

Damien's mouth formed an 'o' shape as he processed the information. I took his phone from him, as mine was still kind of smashed... Anyway, I dialled Cade's number, another one I knew off by heart. As it buzzed, Damien still looked a bit surprised that I had two brothers. Cade didn't answer, probably because it was an unknown number.

"Ollie!" I yelled, not knowing where he was in the house.

Within ten seconds, Ollie was by my side, worried that I'd hurt myself. I asked for his phone, which he instantly gave to me. I scrolled through his contacts, until I got to 'Candy', Ollie's nickname for Cade. It's pretty complicated, but basically, when we were younger, Ollie thought Cade's name was Candy. It was pretty cute, that the name had stuck. I tapped on the contact, and then tapped 'Call'.

Cade answered within six seconds, his voice annoyed, "What do you want now?"

I smiled, at his attitude towards his younger brother, "Hey, Cade," I simply said.

"Tori? What? What's going on?" his voice was so quick, it was hard to pick up what he said.

"Yeah, it's me," I giggled slightly, and held the phone to my other ear.

"Are you okay?" he instantly asked, rustling on the other end of the phone.

"Yeah, I'm good. I've got a broken leg, but I'm all right," I glanced at my leg, with the black, velcro, brace thing.

"What happened?" his voice turned all sympathetic, and I heard Bella's voice.

"Um, I ran away. I lived with a friend, in Brighton," I quickly replied, getting nervous.

"Oh, Tori, please don't scare us like that, again," he said, sympathy still thick in his voice.

"Got it, sorry," I smiled sadly, again, and told him that I had to go.

I obviously didn't have to go, but I couldn't bare to talk to him any longer. It may not have seemed like it, but I wanted to cry. I'd hurt him, and Bella, and my parents, and Ollie, and God knows who else. I really should have thought it through, before I just left. Why did Reuben let me leave!? He surely must have realised the consequences, even if I didn't.

I hung up, and handed the phone back to Ollie. Smiling, he gave me a sympathetic pat on the back, and left Damien and I alone. Exhausted, I threw my head in my arms, resting on the counter. Harsh sobs started emerging from me, and air seemed to escape me. Damien pulled me away from the counter, and into his arms. Crying, I buried my face in his broad chest, and pretended that I was invisible to the world.

Yep, I was lost.
