I Know You're There: Abducted Angels

*Sequel to I Know You're There, read that first*. Reuben and Tori have ran away. They've got a place to stay, and their fake ID's are working. The only thing is, Tori's 'abduction' story is currently the biggest segment of the news. Yep, Reuben is the World's most wanted. Nobody knows it's Reuben, though. Not only are the police after them, but there's a sick band of people, who want Angels. Not for good reasons, some for dissection, some for information. They're both after Reuben. But of course, there's more problems then that. Ex's, (new) family and money. But they're together, and that's all that matters... right?

18. 'Get him out of here, now.'

After being so mean, with two false updates, here's a proper chapter :) Enjoy x

Slowly, I peeled my eyes open, only to screw them up again, against the bright daylight. Groaning, I rolled over onto my stomach, but soon sat up, stricken with panic. They've got me... I thought. There's no way I would've gotten to hospital, and how easy would it be for them to take me, with me unconscious? Exactly, far too easy.

"Tori... Tori..." someone whispered, waving a hand in front of my face.

Blinking, I clicked back to reality, as my eyes focused on the person before me. Of course, it's the one and only Reuben. Fear and relief both washed through me, followed by a bit more fear. So, fear was outweighing relief... that can't be good.

"Are you okay?" he asked, literally two inches away from me.

I used the question, and gave myself a self-assessment. Headache, in two places, aching leg, the other one numb, sore shoulder from the bullet, actually, all of my body was aching, sharp pain in my shoulder blades... That was about it, as far as I could tell.

"No," I spat, stretching my arms out.

Reuben sighed, and moved away from me, leaning against the wall. Basically ignoring him, I looked around the room. We're at... home... As if in, where Reuben lived, before we ran away to Brighton. What the hell are we doing here?! More panic hit me, as I tried standing up.

"Don't..." Reuben warned, gesturing to my leg.

Dumbly, I look down, and realise it's in a black, strap-on boot kind of thing. Oh. That's why it was numb. I broke it. Injury after injury, after injury. Hopefully, I could make it through the day without hurting myself any more. Really though? The bullet in my shoulder, the gash on the back of my head, now this. Honestly. Damien walked in, and sat opposite me, next to Reuben. Could someone tell me why they weren't explaining anything, or even reacting?

"You all right?" Damien asked, crossing one leg over the other.

"No," I repeated, staring at my broken leg, "How long have I been out?"

"Um... Well, you kept waking up, then we gave you anaesthetic, so you passed out, until we got here," Damien explained, also staring at my leg.

"Why are we here?" I asked, practically ignoring Reuben.

"Because we have nowhere else to take you, and there's two people who really want to see you," Damien replied.

Giving him a weird look, I actually took note that his arm was in a cast. A wave of guilt hit me, but I shoved it away, focusing on what he said. Who wanted to see me? There weren't exactly anyone around who cared about be any more.

"Guys, you can come in," Damien called out.

Quietly, two boys walked in, one of them hanging their head, the other one giving me a sad smile. It's like a flipping reunion, Damien, Reuben, Ollie and Daniel. I was fine with two of them, Daniel and Reuben could go fight it out to the death, whilst I spectated from the sidelines. Harsh, I know.

"Get him out of here, now," I hissed, jabbing a finger at Daniel.

Reuben smirked, but he wiped it off of his face, when I gave him a glare of my own. Damien looked plain awkward, and Ollie looked relieved. What did I look like? Probably something equivalent to a suffocating fish. Or worse... Just something extremely unattractive. I probably didn't smell too attractive either, if I'd been out for two days.

"I said, get out," I repeated, when no one moved.

"Tori, thank God your okay. Mum and Dad are-"

"Ollie, get rid of him, then I'll speak to you," I interrupted, pointing at... it.

It gave me a look of desperation, but I returned with one of defiance. Awkwardly, he backed out of the room, but he just kind of stood in the doorway. I rolled my eyes, and look back at Ollie. His relief was so evident, it was comical. But...

Why are we here?

Okay, I can't be bothered to relate my questions to this story, some of 'em will, so of 'em won't.

Anyway, my answer to Reuben vs Damien, I'm obviously going to say Reuben, I mean... it's Reuben.
