Half Hearted

Mia is still living in the past. She fell in love with the perfect guy and she knew he was the one. Until she found he'd been cheating on her with Victoria Paxon, the local slut on the corner of my street. Now that Brenden broke her heart and took half of it with him, Mia's not sure if she will ever fall in love again. But one day a new boy moves in across the street. His name is Adam Madison, and he quickly falls for his new neighbor. But he knows that her past had scarred her, he just wasn't sure what happened. Adam will have to find a crack in her wall she's built to see what's inside, but he might not be too satisfied with what he finds. Half of a heart doesn't love as a whole heart does.

3. This Guy

Adam's POV~

I just smiled and shook my head as I walked up to the neighbor girls house. She had been sitting in a chair watching me, for the past hour, unload boxes. I saw her sitting by the window when she answered a text. I didn't mind it until I heard something hit the window in her room. I looked up to see her yelling at someone. When she turned to see me looking at her she fell to the floor, only to come peek through the window again.

I don't know what it was, but something about this girl attracted me. She was extremely beautiful and funny, but there was something else. I wanted to find out what it was, so I decided to talk to her.

I walked up to the door and was about to ring the doorbell, but the door opened in front of me, almost hitting me in the face.

"Woah, calm down now," I said, opening the door the rest of the way.

"Oh my god, I'm so sorry. I didn't hit you did I?"

I laughed. "No, but I'm pretty sure you would have if you ran to the door any slower." She laughed awkwardly and looked down at the ground. "So, I saw you watching me up there, you like what you see?"

She lifted her head, an embarrased look on her face. "Yeah, it's hard not to stare at someone with biceps like that," she said as she poked my arm. I laughed, running my hand through my hair.

   "Um, thanks-"

"I'm sorry, I'm just not very good at this, you know, whole talking thing . . ."

"Don't worry about it. Tell you what, let's go for a walk."

"Oh, um, okay. I'd have to change fir-"

"Then you go change. It's almost summer out anyways, why are you wearing a sweatshirt and boots?"

   "I don't know, it's comfortable. I wasn't expecting company."

"That's okay. Oh, and by the way, I like the other sweatshirt better." I smiled and gave her a wink. She just blushed and opened the door to run upstairs. She's pretty cool.

Mia's POV~

I'm so lame. Really? Almost hit the guy in the face and 'Hard not to stare with biceps like that.' And why did I change my sweatshirt? He saw me wearing the other one. What is wrong with me?

I ran up the stairs and changed into orange athletic shorts, a pink underarmour shirt, and tennis shoes. I checked my make up, put on deoderant, and sprayed myself with perfume. I sighed. Why does this guy want to go on a walk with me? I'm a loser.

~~~ kind of short but I wanted to save the next chapter for when I had more time. Comment:) tell me how you like it. Or if you don't, it's whatever...
