I Think That Possibly, Maybe I'm Falling For You

A Louis Tomlinson Fanfic

11. Ch. 11

I looked up at the sign above my head. “Wow.” I thought to myself. I’ve never been to Disneyland before. This is so exciting, I feel like a little kid again.

“Alright, kids.” I heard a clap of hands. “We need ya to pair up, don’t wander alone.” Paul warned us. “And most importantly, have your cellphones on hand in case we need to evacuate.”

We all nodded and looked at each other.

“Have fun kiddies!” Ms. Novak blurted out before walking off with the rest of the crew.

“I call Kayla!” Niall shouted.

I laughed but I immediately stopped when I felt an arm around my shoulder. I hoped and prayed it wouldn’t be Zayn.

“Too late!” Louis exclaimed. I instantly felt relief wash over me. “Today’s my turn to hang out with Kayla. Right?” He asked me.

I nodded and shot Niall and apologetic glance before mouthing an “I’m sorry.” He shrugged and took Zayn by the wrist, running off.

“I guess it’s us two.” Liam told Harry.

Harry stuck his hands in his pockets, nodding. They both walked the opposite direction Niall and Zayn had ran off to. I looked at Louis and he was already looking at me with a smile on his face.

“So…what do you want to do first?” I asked him.

“Well we can’t be roaming Disneyland without Mickey ears, right? Let’s go to the shop and buy some!”

Without letting me answer, Louis dragged me to one of the stores and went straight to the hats section. Wow, the amount of hats here was overwhelming. There were literally so many options: pirates, fairy, Pluto, how could I ever choose?!

I stood there looking at all my options, contemplating which hat to get for a good twenty minutes.

“Come on, Kayla! We’re wasting valuable time.”

I looked at Louis and he had settled for the standard black Mickey Mouse ears hat. It was then that I decided to go with the Minnie ears hat.

“Finally. Great choice, now let’s go pay.”

“Oh, hold on.” I stopped and rummaged through my purse to get my wallet out. Louis snatched the hat away from me and set it on the counter.

“No, Louis! I can pay for it myself!”

“Nonsense, it’s my treat, love.” He said, placing the hat on my head once he’d paid for it. The elastic of the hat snapped against my chin and I winced. Louis quickly apologized and I could tell he wanted to laugh “I’m sorry, Kayla!”

“It’s ok.” I said, laughing lightly.

Louis and I walked around the park and waited in lines for almost the whole day. It was nearly seven in the evening and I was already exhausted.

“Louis, I’m tired.” I whined.

He leaned down. “Here, get on my back.”

“What?!” I shook my head. “No.. I can’t do that.”

“It’s fine, really. Hop on!”

I hesitantly hopped on Louis’ back and wrapped my arms around his neck for support, tightly enough to not fall off but not tight enough to choke him. He gripped onto my legs and started walking.

After a while of walking around and him giving me a piggyback ride, I spoke up. “If you get tired, let me know so I can hop off.” I told him.

He chuckled and shook his head. “I’m not weak. Look, they’re playing a show at 7:35. What time is it now?” Louis asked.

I looked at my bright yellow watch and it read 7:20.

“7:20,” I told him. “Do you want to go see it?”

He nodded and I jumped off his back, walking with him over to the little amphitheater. We searched for seats and luckily we found some near the front. Once we sat down we talked for a while before the lights dimmed, indicating that the show would be starting soon. We turned our attention toward the stage and an underwater backdrop was displayed. THE LITTLE MERMAID! I squealed because it’s one of my favorite movies and Louis looked at me. I shrugged and turned my attention back to the show.

I couldn’t really concentrate throughout the rest of the show because I could feel Louis’ eyes on me. I looked at him and he shot me a smile. I smiled back at him and we just sat there looking at each other, smiling. I started thinking about how much fun I’d been having with him all day. We’d gotten on rides, he’d bought me ice cream, we talked, and we mostly laughed. My thoughts were interrupted by singing that wasn’t coming from afar.

“Shalalalalala my, oh my!”

One of the actors made their way to us and said, “go on, kiss the girl.”

Louis and I looked at each other with both shock and confusion displaying on our faces. I then looked around and everyone in the amphitheater was looking at us expectantly.

“Go on,” The actor repeated, nudging Louis. “KISS…” The actor turned to the audience waving his arm around, riling up the crowd. “THE…” The audience joined, “GIRRRRL!”

“KISS THE GIRL! KISS THE GIRL! KISS THE GIRL!” Everyone in the crowd was chanting.

In a panicky state I turned to the actor and tried to explain, “Excuse me, but we,” I pointed between Louis and I, “aren’t-“

I was cut off by two hands on my face rushing me toward their face, my lips instantly colliding with theirs. “What……the……fuck..” I thought. I opened my eyes and pushed him away. Louis looked at me and I was as confused as ever. The crowd started cheering and I sat back in my seat hiding my face out of embarrassment. Louis placed a hand on my knee and gave it a light squeeze. I looked at him and when he gave me a half smile I just looked away. The rest of the show seemed to last forever and I just wanted to get out of there as fast as I could.

Once the show was over, we stayed in our seats for a bit, waiting for the rush of people trying to get out of the amphitheater to die down. It was pretty much awkward silence between Louis and I casually interrupted by “Oh you guys are so cute,” or people fist pumping and saying, “Kiss. The. Girl.” As they walked past us. I stood up, ready to leave and Louis followed in my footsteps. We walked around the park in silence. Not the good kind, the uncomfortable kind that you can’t wait to be over and it was already dark, the fireworks would start soon.

“Kayla..” Louis said, breaking the silence. “I hope you’re not mad at me for what happened back there, I was under pressure and kissing you was the only way they’d shut up.” He explained.

Ouch, I thought he’d actually wanted to kiss me. It wasn’t that I was mad at him or anything anyways, I mean..I just don’t know what to think right now, honestly.

I nodded. “We should go find the others.” I sent Niall a text asking him where they were and he replied fairly quickly.

“I think they’ll be by-“

I cut him off, “I know where they are, follow me.” I said.

I fast walked and almost lost Louis on the way to where Niall said they’d be by but surely enough when we got to the location, they were there. Even Harry and Liam were already there.

“Kayla!” Niall hugged me.

“HARRY!” Harry yelled. I looked at him and he opened his arms, waiting for a hug. I walked over to him and wrapped my arms around his waist as he wrapped his arms around me.

The fireworks started and we all watched in amazement and gasped. At how beautiful the sky looked adorned by the sparks of light. Once the show was over Harry told us Ms. Novak had texted him to meet them at the entrance. We all walked as a group and Louis came over to me.

“I’m sorry again.”

I looked at him and he looked at me apologetically. He looked so cute under the moonlight and I couldn’t help but smile. “You are forgiven, Louis Tomlinson.”

“Forgiven for what?” Zayn asked from beside me.

“Oh uh..” I was at a struggle for words when a group of guys who’d been at the show earlier walked past us singing “Shalalalalala my, oh my” in our faces, teasing Louis and I. My face turned bright red and I was thankful for the darkness of the night because the boys wouldn’t be able to tell I was blushing.

“What was that all abut?” Liam asked, confused.

Quickly, Louis responded, “Nothing.”

The rest of the boys shrugged it off and we found Ms. Novak, Paul, and other crew people by one of the gates. We were driven back to the hotel and I think they were all going to have dinner at the restaurant downstairs but I decided to pass so I could give Stephanie a call and tell her about the day’s events.
