15. Anger issues

A/N: Okay so I decided to get to know my readers. So every time I update, I'll ask a question. And please take the minute to answer.

Today's question: What is your favorite ice cream flavor?

Katrina's POV

I sat down the opposite side of Jason with a tray of lo mein and chicken teriyaki in front of me.

"Now tell dear Jason what's wrong," Jason said, acting as if he was a therapist.

"Well, I know Zayn Malik and One Direction right, so the paps saw me coming out their house from visiting. So now their fans are angry I guess. And that was a so called fan that attacked me ten minutes ago." I was still pissed off. I wanted to go back and smack the girl. She had no right to put her dirty hands on me.

"Oh I see. You just need to learn how to calm your temper if this happens again. There's about three ways that can help you," he said a looked me in the eye, dead serious.

"What are the ways then?" I asked and took a bite of chicken. Mmmm, now this is some good chinese.

"First way: ignore them. And it already seems you can't really handle that one much so yeah. Second is to use sarcasm on the haters. But that may start a couple of fights. And lastly, you can always kill haters with kindness. Your choice of what you want to do." He finished saying and took a sip of his Coke. He then looked back at me expectantly.

I sighed, not really knowing what to do. I didn't want to deal with this. It's been less than two months since I came here and I'm already starting trouble. AGAIN. Yup, again. I would always bring trouble back in the States. That's one of the reasons I came to the UK. I wanted to start over.

"I don't know what to do. I can't really control my temper much. I'll just lose it all the time. The only way that won't start fights is to ignore people, but I'm not good with that. What should I do Jason?" I asked feeling desperate. I'm confiding my problems to my boss that didn't even last an entire day, yet I'm here telling him my troubles. What is wrong with me.

"You can try the ignoring part. But you might not last long. It's still worth a shot right?" He asked. He looked at his watch and back at me. "I have to go back to the store. You can take the rest of the day off. I'll cover for you. Just make sure you come tomorrow ok?"

"Alright. Thank you Jason. I don't know what would'be happened if you weren't there," I said, suddenly grateful.

"No problemo. See ya later." And he walked off. I finished off my food and threw away the trash. What to do, what to do. Should I stay around or go home? But then I would have to come back to pick up Jaz and Riley. I have a couple hours to wait. Eh, I'll stay here.

Oh no, I forgot about Zayn. Should I tell him about the incident or not? I'm not clingy or needy, I just wanted to be strong.

I groaned and pulled out my phone. It's best to tell him. Hopefully he's not busy. I found his name in my contact list and pressed call and waited for him to answer with the phone near my ear.

I counted to ten when Zayn picked up.

"Hello?" Zayn asked, a bit breathless. I wondered what he was doing before he answered.

"Hey Zayn. Erm, I just want you to know that a, hmmm, incident happened." I said and sat back in my chair.

"What happened? Did the fans crowd you or jumped you?" He asked frantically.

"Not exactly. A group of 14 year olds were calling me names and a girl got in my face and I almost started a full out fight that would've ended up with someone in the hospital. A friend had to pull me away before I could've done any serious damage." I explained carelessly.

"Oh no. This is terrible. I'm sorry Katrina. Are you alright now?"

"I'm fine. A bit angry, but I'm alright. I just called to let you know so you won't be left in the dark."

"Do you want to take up on that offer of a guard?" He asked cautiously. He was probably expectinv me to blow up or something.

"No, I don't think so. I might just wear hats and stuff so the fans" (I said it with distaste) "won't recognize me," I replied, suddenly wondering about Jaz and Riley, hoping that they were alright. Who am I kidding, if there was a fight, they would've been placing bets and stuff. Yup, my friends are very special. They're the type that if their house was burning, they would toasting smores and hitting on the firemen.

"Okay. Make sure Jaz and Riley are safe too. I don't want anything bad to happen." I snicked a bit when he said that. Nothing bad would happen, unless I want something bad to happen.

"Alright. I should go now, sounded like you were busy before."

"Huh? Oh yeah. Me and the lads were giving Louis a makeover. It's a long story. I'll send you a picture."

"Ok. Bye Zayn." I said, a bit down now.

"Bye Katrina. Be safe. Don't be afraid to tell me if anything more happens," he said worriedly.

"Ok." I said and hung up the call. I looked around and got up from my chair. I should check on Jaz and Riley to be sure that they were okay. It was nice of Zayn to consider Jaz and Riley's safety too.

But before I started walking in the direction of the stores, I decided to buy a hat.

After about 20 minutes of torture, I decided to get the beanie instead of the fedora hat. It pained me to leave the hat behind, but I loved the beanie more. Ha, this must've been how Bella felt when she had to choose Edward over Jacob in Twilight.

After I payed for the hat (it looked like hello kitty) I started walking towards JCPenny to check on Riley first. When I walked in the store, I heard yelling. I started walking towards the direction of it. It sounded so familiar.....oh no. That's not good.

I started jogging, in a hurry to see what happened. And you know what I saw? I saw Riley arguing with a customer. Why am I not surprised?

"Riley! What's going on here?" I exclaimed. The customer was a lady who looked like a fake blonde Barbie doll, probably from all the plastic surgery she did on herself. "Well is this your friend? She came up to me and said that I'm not allowed to bring any of my other bags into the store and I was suppose to leave it up front! But I spent good money on my things so I'm not going to leave it with strangers!" The lady was basically yelling with anger.

"Ma'am! It's the store policy! You can't freakkin' bring your bags into the damn store! Now unless you want me to bring in security, you can leave the store or leave your bags here!" Riley threatened, very irritated. I'm surprised Riley didn't jump on this lady yet. Similar to me, Riley can't control her temper.

"Fine! I'm leaving this place! This is the sorriest JCPenny I ever went to!" The lady exclaimed and left in a huff. "Well good for you! Please do me the favor and don't come back!" Riley yelled after her. She took and deep breath and then looked at me. "'Sup."

"Jeez, and I actually thought I had problems. I was just checking up on you 'cause a certain incident happened in the Food Court with a group of so called 'fans'." I explained.

"What?!? Wait, back the truck up bro. Explain properly."

"So I was just taking my lunch break right? I was just walking, minding my own business, and a group of 14 year olds came up to me, claiming Zayn was theirs, and I should stay away. Then this blonde bitch came up and started trash talking me and called me a bitch and you that I lose my temper easily, so I almost started a flipping fight. That girl would've ended up in the hospital if it wasn't for my boss stopping me."

Riley let out a long low whistle. "Well ain't that a pickle? Good thing your boss was there. Wait, what's his name?"

"Jason." I answered back.

"Mmhmm. Jason eh? Sounds a bit hot," Riley said, her pervy mind taking control.

"Shut up Ri. You would be the one to talk about my boss when I just told you I almost got into a fight. Way to show the care and support," I snapped sarcastically. Riley just laughed.

"Sorry. I can't help myself. So I'm guessing you got the day off since you're here. So are you staying or going home?" She asked.

"I'm going home after I check up on Jaz. I already called Zayn and told him what happened. You should wear a hat and probably a jacket and sunglasses. You know, stay in disguise," I suggested. "Okie dokie. I'll call you when my shift is over. Go check on Jaz."

"See ya," I said and walked out the store. Oooh, that's a nice jacket. Gosh, focus. Don't torture yourself, you're broke.

I sighed unhappily. I walked into Hollister. I had to ignore all the other stores. Why did I choose a job in the mall? It's pure torture, walking past all the good things.

I started looking for Jaz in the dimly lit store. I heard her talking in the back of the store.

"Sir! You can't use that coupon on this shirt! The coupon expired a month ago!" I heard her exclaim exasperately. Wow, I just left one problem, and walked into anothe one. Maybe I should just go, but I need to tell her what happened.

I walked hesitantly towards Jaz's voice. I poked my head around the corner. "Um, excuse me but I need to know how much this shirt cost?" I lied, grabbing a shirt off the rack to get Jaz out of that situation. She looked relieved. "Hold on a minute please. Maybe you should go talk to the manager. I'm just the model!" She cried out and walked towards me.

"Thank god you're here! The manager is using for me as extra help too and I have to say that I'm not enjoying it."

"I just came to explain an incident that happened in the Food Court that almost ended up with someone in the hospital. And I came to check up on you."

"What happened?" She asked. Her eyes were widening in fear.

I explained what happened, and Jaz gasped alot during the time I explained it. I also explained what happened at JCPenny. Her mouth was hung open after I explained everything.

"Wow. Man, I miss out on everything because of a job. No fair. So are you going back to work?"

"Nah. I got the day off. You'll have to call when you're finished working so I can come back and pick you and Riley up. Home, sweet, home," I said, thinking of taking a nap already.

"Alright then. See ya later," she said, sounding dull. She probably dreaded going back to work. I understood what she's going through.

I smiled and walked out the store. Back home then.

A/N: Yeah, so this is a random chappy. Sorry about that.
