Katrina's POV

That's strange that Zayn handed me a napkin.

Before I could think about it more, Jaz interrupted my thoughts. "Aww,man! I love those guys! We should've asked for their numbers or something. Oh no, they just must've thought we were a one time thing so we wouldn't be friends. Grrrr," Jaz said and groaned as if she had the stomach flu.

She can make a lot of conclusions from just one sentence. "Well, atleast we met them and ate breakfast with them. Other people would kill to be in our place," Riley said with a sad face.

"Cmon, let's go. There's no point sitting here. Let's go take a walk on the beach," I said with a sigh. I carefully put the napkin in my pocket. Yeah, I'm that special enough to put a napkin in my pocket. I'm not keeping it as a souvenier or something, but I needed more time to think about it.

We all got up and walked out the door. It was now 11:00 AM and the beach had more people. I breathe in the salty air as we continued to walk towards the water. "So many things happening in one morning," Riley said out of nowhere.

"Like what?" Jaz and I asked at the same time, looking at Riley. "Well, me and Jaz pranked you. The need to find jobs, and the shock of almost being broke. And last, but not least, meeting One Direction in a restaurant on the beach," Riley said.

"Yeah, that doesn't sound like a lot, but it actually is. Kat, I can't believe you bumped into Zayn yesterday and didn't recognize!" Jaz said and looked at me funny. "Well soooorrrry, but I'm not addicted to One Direction like you two," I said with buckets full of sarcasm.

I speak three languages: English, Swearing, and Sarcasm. Wow, I'm so weird, I can't believe I just realized that. "We are not addicted!" They both yelled at me. "It's called dedicated! Get it right bro," Riley said with a look of annoyance.

"Whatever," I said and rolled my eyes, exaggerating a bit. Riley looked like she wanted to strangle me. "Atleast she's getting back into her usual mood," Jaz said as we were walking in the water.

"Hey, you remember when the guys said they were here for a photoshoot? Let's go find them!" Riley sqealed excitedly. "Uh no. They would think we're stalkers and we might as well find something that benefits us, like jobs," I said and raised my eyebrow.

"Finding them will be beneficial! Somehow," Jaz said uncertainly. "If we find them, we can hang out with them more often! We can be friends with them!" Riley said. "No,wait scratch that out. Me and Jaz will be friends with them, but Kat will be all cozy with Zayn," Riley said with a evil smirk.

I lunged for her, but she dodged out the way. She and Jaz started laughing. Why do they always gang up on me? What did I ever do to them? "That's very funny. But I'm planning on staying single for the rest of my life," I said.

"Aww, Kat. Just forget about that stupid promise for one minute, hang out with some guys, preferably Zayn, and you'll be in love forever," Riley whined. "I could already see your couple name, Kayn, on the covers of magazines," Jaz said with a wink.

"You guys do realize that I'm not gonna fall in love with anyone, but if I do, keyword IF, and it turns out to be Zayn, I would fall for him, not his fame," I said honestly. "You guys would look so good together," Riley said with a small sigh.

"You know, how about we go home and search in the newspapers and online for jobs?" I said quickly to change the topic. Hopefully they won't notice. "Sure, we parked in that lot. Let's go," Jaz said not noticing the topic change.

I sighed with relief as we started the journey home.

"Grrrrr. I hate job searching," Riley complained dramatically and threw down the paper she was holding. "You see, if you told us earlier that we needed jobs, we wouldn't be so frantic to find jobs," I said and sat back on the couch in the living room.

I grabbed my laptop and started searching for jobs at the mall nearby. "Or, if we didn't shop for clothes and shoes alot, we would've had atleast another month worth of money," Jaz said exasperately from behind a newspaper on the floor.

"But's its worth it Jaz. Those Nikes and the leather jacket went perfectly together," I said, not taking my eyes off my laptop's screen. "There's nothing in the papers. Where's the newspaper for this week?" Jaz asked and stacked all the papers in a neat pile.

"It's upstairs. I'll go get it," I said and closed my laptop and left it on the couch and ran upstairs. "And grab my laptop too please!" I heard Riley shout. "Okay!" I shouted back and went into Riley's messy room for her laptop.

It was under a under a pile of books on the floor. Really Riley? A damn Macbook on the floor? And under books too?!? She's gonna get another lecture for that. I picked up the laptop and walked into my room and picked up the newspaper from under my desk.

Something fell out of my pocket, so I picked it up. It was the napkin that Zayn handed me at the restaurant today. I completely forgot about that. He can't just give me a napkin for no reason, so I opened the napkin up. It said:
We should hang out more sometime. Call me- Zayn xx
And his number was underneath.

Oh god, he practically asked me out. I wasn't going to get into a relationship with anyone, even if I was ready for one. I made a promise, and I'm not going to forget about it. I needed to think more about that, so I placed the napkin on my nightstand.

I grabbed Riley's laptop and the newspaper and went downstairs. "Here," I said and tossed the paper to Jaz and handed the laptop to Riley. "You need to take care of that laptop Riley," I said as I sat down on the couch and opened my laptop back up.

"Oh no. Not again. What happened this time?" Riley asked exasperately. "Well you left it on the floor. Under a pile of books. And those books were textbooks," I said with pauses after each sentence. "Ooops," Rikey said and opened her laptop.

"Ooops? You are gonna take care of that laptop Riley Jackson!" I said and gave her a serious look. "Fine!" She said. I always go crazy with electronics. Phones, tablets, computers, you name it. They're practically my children.

"There's nothing in this paper either. How about we go to bed and get up tomorrow and go to the mall and search? We have to get jobs atleast by the time Uni starts, and that's in a month," Jaz said. "Sure, leave all the stuff here. Let's go get some beauty sleep," I said and ran upstairs.

I took a shower and threw on my pajamas. Before I got into bed, I sticked my head out into the hallway and yelled "Good Night!" "Good night!" I heard both Jaz and Riley yell back. I was about to climb into bed and turn the lamp off, but I saw the napkin.

Damn, I forgot about that. I picked it up and read it over again. Well we can just be friends right? I guess nothing could hurt, so I picked up my cell phone and dialled the number.

It started ringing....
