8. Leaving.

Harry's P.O.V

"We were all going to London", Niall said.

“What a perfect Summer!, Liam said.

     “I know”, I said.

All five of us walked to the front door. All our bags were already in the car.

“I’m so excited for the girl that will come to Lou’s aunt”, I said.

     “Me either!”, Niall replied.

We talked about little things the whole car ride to the airport. When we arrived at the airport, just then I noticed all of the fans standing outside. Not many, but still.

“Our fans are really amazing. I love them!”, Zayn said, laughing, opening the car door and hopping out.

I laughed and did the same. So do the other boys. We looked at the fans and wave our hands to them. They all were sreaming and aimed their cameras, iPads and so on at us and were snapping pictures.

“Okay, listen up guys. Please pay attention”, Louis said as soon as we walked into the airport. “Okay. Liam and Niall’s seatings are 15A and 15B. Harry, Zayn and my’s seatings are 17B, 17C and 17D”, Louis read off a list.

Diamond's P.O.V

I started my Friday morning well by getting up early. However, although I had gone to bed full of optimism and excited about the prospects that lay ahead of me, I was struck afresh by the harsh reality of how difficult every moment would be. Once again I awoke in an empty bed to a silent house, but there was one small breakthought.

For the first time in over a month, I had woken up without the aid of a telephone call. I adjusted my mind, as I did every morning, to the fact that the dreams of me and Edward being together, which had lived in my mind for the past ten hours, were just that; dreams.

I showered and dressed comfortably in my favourite blue jeans, trainers and a baby-pink T-shirt.  Then I started to pack my things up. Summer texted me yesterday. Our flight will be tomorrow evening. My phone ringing. It was Sally.

“Hello, Sally?”, I picked up the call.

“Hi, love” the concerned voice of Edward’s mother came across the line.

“I forgot something. About Edward. Before he’s gone, he left an envelope to me. The envelope is here for you. You know, the one I told you about. It’s on the kitchen table. You might want to collect it. It’s been here for weeks now and it might be important”, she said.

“I doubt it. It’s probably just another card.”

“No, I don’t think it is, love. It’s addressed to you and above your name it says… oh, hold on while I get it…”

The phone was put down, the sound of heels on the tiles toward the table, chairs screeched against the floor, footsteps getting louder, phone being picked up…

     “You still there, Diamond?”

     “Yeah, Sally.”

“Ok, it says at the top “The List”. Maybe it’s from work or something, love. It’s work just taking a…”

     I dropped the phone.

Zayn’s P.O.V

“Zayn, wake up. We’re here, mate.”, I heard Niall say a few times.

I opened my eyes slowly and realized everyone was leaving.

     “What?”, I asked.

“We’re here you sleepy head!”, Harry replied.

I stood up, stretched and grabbed my carry on. So do the others.

We were all chatting as we went to go get our luggage. I turned on my phone. I’ve got one new message from Perrie.

From : Perrie, “Hey, love. Me and El will come tomorrow. Our flight is tomorrow morning. Take care, I love you.

I replied, “Okay, I will. You too take care, baby. I love you too”

“Welcome welcome welcome to London!”, Louis’ aunt, Mary said. We all turned to her. She hugged us one by one. “We’re at the Heathrow airport. And we’ll be in Doncaster in about 3 hours.”

We got into the car and listened to the local radio station.

Louis’ P.OV

“How you doing, Mary?”, I asked as she drove the car.

I sat on the passanger seat while the boys at the back. Harry and Niall is at the middle while Liam and Zayn at the back.

“I’m doing fine, thank you. So how you guys doing?”

“Fine, Marry. Thank you.”, Zayn answered.

“Yeah, we can’t wait to spent our summer here.”, Liam replied.

“Oh, we have plans tonight! Like I told you before, Andrew will come too with his two friends and the girls too.”

“It’s okay. But there’s just one problem here. The rooms  is not enough for all of you to stay. But if you don’t mind, you guys can shared it. I mean, one room can fit about two or three or four, I guess”, she explained.

“Yeah, sure. I’ll handle it later.”

We pulled up to Aunt Mary’s house. It was so huge! Two stores. White. Brown picket fence. Beautiful green grass. It was such an ideal house. I tell you, it was perfect. We got out of the car.

Liam's P.O.V

Woah, it such a huge house! It was really perfect. We got out of the car, take our carry on and walked in.

“Zayn, Liam and Niall”, Louis said, “your guest room is upstairs. The last room on the right. Harry and me, ours are same for us except on the left”

“No problem, mate”, Harry replied. He ran upstairs. Followed by others.

Diamond's P.O.V

Andrew put my bags on the car while Summer and I prepared ourself for Edward's parents house before we're leaving to the airport. So far, today was going well. As Andrew's brother, James pulled up to the kerb outside Edward's parents house in Portmarnock and took a deep breath. It was two thirty now, and we're sat outside in the car with butterflies in my tummy.

Edward's parents house was situated directly across the road from Portmarnock beach, the blue flag baring testament to its cleanliness. James parked the car and I stared across the road to the sea.

"I'll be back in 10 minutes!", I said.

I didn't intent staying long, just have a little chat and collect the envelope. I was determined to end my silent self-torture about what could be inside. I took a deep breath, rang the doorbell and placed a smile on my face for all to see.

"Hi, love! Come in, come in!", said Edward's mother with her usual welcoming, loving the face that I just wanted to kiss every time I saw her.

"Hi, Sally. How are you?", I stepped into the house and was comforted by the familiar smell of home. "You on your own?"

"Yes, Peter is out with Steward, buying paint for his room"

"Don't tell me that you and Peter is still paying for everything for him?"

"Well, Peter might be, but I'm certainly not. He's working at nights now so at least he has a bit of pocket money these days.", she said and brought me to the kitchen where she put the kettle on.

Steward was Edward's youngest brother and the baby of the family, so his mum and dad still felt they had to spoil him. We brought our mugs into the sitting room and settle down in front of the television.

"You look great, Diamond. I love the hair", she said.

"Well, as long as you don't want Jennifer Aniston's hairstyle, you'll have no problems", I explained about the woman in the salon and we both rolled around laughing.

"I love to see that you laugh back. Well, honey take your time and think about what you like or else you'll end up rushing into something you hate", she said. I was suprised to hear this.

I finally built up the courage to ask for the envelope.

"Oh, of course, sweetie. I completely forgot about it. It's been there for a long time", she said.

"I'll find out soon enough", I said.

We said our goodbyes and I couldn't get out of the house quickly enough. Perching myself on the grass overlooking the golden sand. I ran the envelope over my hands. My stomach did a little dance. If it wasn't from Edward, then I finally had to accept the fact that he was gone completely from my life and I had to start thinking about existing him. But if it was from him, though I would be faced with the same future, at least I could hold on to some fresh memory. A memory that would have to last me a life time.

I put the envelope in my purse and hopped into the car. We're now be leaving to the airport as James started to drive the car.
