The Running River Road

I live on a road called Jackson Street in Trenton, Ga, and my whole street plus the whole area I live in use to be a huge river, not its just pebble rocked land at the base of a mountain. So this is the story of how i found the secret of the forgotten river in the town that was never signed into the union until 1939.

6. Action!

So, I found out what was going on now after looking up information; so, with that I have came up with a plan to stop it all. So a quick run down on what the bracelet is; the bracelet was used, about 150 years before America was discovered,  as a gift to Antheta the river god that ruled the river to make it happy and to trade it to the god, so that the god would dry up most of the river so the Cherokee's could have new hunting lands. When I took the bracelet I kind'ov angered the god who decided to refill the old river. So I now know I need to give it back, but that's where a problem comes into play. The people made of water is trying to stop me, for Antheta was responsible for keeping evil spirits, who have died in the river, from causing havoc on the living. So now that you know what I was going against lets get to the plan and what happened.

I live at the foot of Lookout Mountain that is part of the Cloudland Canyon State Park, in the park about two miles up the mountain is where the water, which is flooding my street, is coming from. As soon as I woke up I grabbed my supplies and walked out of my house and walked around to the back yard to Tony Road where a short cut to Cloudland Canyon Estates lies. On my way there the water has rose, to about half way up my shins over night, as I cut through the little wooded path that lead me into the estates; which was slowly being evacuated because of the flooding. I made my way into the entrance of the hiking path for the state park to only noticed it was muddy and all I could think of was how hard this up hill trek will be.

The mountain trail is already creepy enough through the woods, but with the ability to see spirits going between trees and always hearing people saying something, I was at my wits end. I carried the iron knife out after seeing a spirit earlier, and I kept stopping out of fear and nervousness which made the trek take longer, the muddy trail also didn't help any. After a while I guess you could say I just got use to them and just kept going but I was still on edge which helped me when I got to my destination.

I finally got to where I wanted to be and that's when I was attacked. I was off the trail slowly making my way to the side of the start of the river when the spirit from the other day showed up and pushed me down the hill. I slid down to the edge of the river and let go of my knife which splashed into the river close enough for me to be able see it. I was on my way to grab it when the spirit jumped on me and started to try and drown me. I was panicking and splashing for the knife, all the while wishing for help. I was just about to give up when a flash of scales go over my face and the spirit was pulled over me. I turned on my stomach and grabbed my knife and stood up to watch the giant fish eat the spirit and stare at me, and for some reason I heard in my head "behind you". I turned fast and noticed another spirit coming after me so I slashed at it with my knife. The spirit let out a scream as its essence starting spilling out like a wound in its stomach and it stumbled into the river and vanished. I then knew I would be safe in the water so I took off my shoes and rolled up my pants and waded into the river to the mouth of it.

Once I got there I built a small three walled area out of stones and made a little alter inside it. Next I used the paint I brought along to paint on the rock "Bracelet of Antheta", which I then took the bracelet off and set it on the little alter; which I then finished walling it up. I turned to Antheta and told it I was sorry for taking its bracelet and I've returned it to him to save my street and the people who live there. What happened next surprised me more than anything.

Antheta rose out of the water and I could hear it say "Thank you for returning what is mine, and you show you have a good heart since you did not succumb to the power of greed. You will need that trait on your next adventures, for my bracelet is just one of millions of artifacts that need to be returned to where they belong, and I give you the task to do that. Now to return your land to you."

After he said that I started swaying out of  exhaustion and passed out.
