2. Chapter 2

(Song of the chapter: On The Road Again by Willie Nelson)
The next morning, my mom literally rushed me out of the house. She drove quickly to the airport. "By Laila. I'll miss you. Call me when you need me." She said kissing my cheek and then running back to her car. I went inside and waited for my flight to be called. When it was, I hopped up from my seat and went to the long corridor where I was to walk to my flight. So this is what my last memory of New York is, my mother kicking me out of the house and then basically telling me she would not miss me at all this summer. Once I was settled in on the plane, I plugged my headphones into my iPod and put my music on shuffle. Not all the people were on the plane yet, so I decided to turn my phone on too. I checked my messages. One from dad. 'Cant wait to see you sweetie. Text me when you're off the plane!' Ugh. Sometimes that man is just too perky. I didn't have any other messages, considering I didn't really have any friends, unless you consider drinking buddies friends. I turned my phone back off, then noticed the light was blinking above my head. I took out my headphones. It was one of the flight attendants. "Thank you for joining us on flight 129. We will start our flight in one minute. Please buckle your seat belts! Thank you." I buckled my seatbelt then out my headphones back in. I closed my eyes then could feel my breathing becoming steady and then I was asleep. When I woke up at least 30 minutes later, we were in the air and one if the ladies was passing out snacks. She came to me. "Hello sweet heart, would you like something to eat?" She asked. I nodded remembering I hadn't had a chance to eat breakfast. I looked at the options, but there wasn't really anything good. I decided in some cheezits and a rootbeer. I plugged my headphones back in and played some temple run. 50 minutes later I was still playing. I guess you could say I was bored.
