Heal Me

We'd run away from home, my little sister and I. We were helpless. Until he came along with his dark, bushy eyebrows and windswept hair. His name was Liam.

4. Elevator

Liam’s POV-

I didn’t understand why she fainted in the lift, maybe she was claustrophobic? Maybe she wasn’t well? I wondered about calling a doctor but giving how much she’d flinched whenever someone touched her, I thought that would have been a bad idea to have another person scaring her. How could someone be that scared of everything? When she passed out I carried her up to my hotel suite, trying to shepherd her younger sister at the same time and carrying her bad.

I stared at her, all tucked up inside the big double bed, she had such a troubled expression on her face as she slept. I glanced over at the little girl, who was still happily playing with a teddy bear but seemed close to sleep by this point. It was almost 11 at night and I was getting tired but I couldn’t sleep for worrying about Isabelle. I’d noticed that she had bandages covering almost all of both her arms and I noticed some underneath her top as I lifted her into the bed. I didn’t want to look under them while she was asleep though, that would’ve been a little bit creepy and I might be something completely normal.

She had big dark circles underneath both her eyes, as if she hadn’t slept in her entire life, but her eyes were the most amazing colour when they were open. They were such a dark, chocolaty brown with the tiniest hint of an emerald green in them. Her eyes were really wide and innocent as well but they held such fear inside them. Her smile was amazing as well, even though I’d only seen the smallest of smiles from her so far but when I did see it, warmth spread throughout my entire body and I got a rush of shivers up my spine. She just seemed so grateful when I told her to come with me, although she seemed so scared at the same time.

I tucked her sister up in bed beside in the bed after she fell asleep, clutching the teddy to her chest so tightly that I thought she’d never let go of it. I settled myself into an armchair in the corner of the hotel suite and slowly fell asleep, dreaming of those phenomenal big brown eyes and that gorgeous girl, covered in bandages.
