Aillinn's Pov

I walked out the door and couldn't stop the flashback from appearing in my mind.

~He was holding me in his arms.

"I love you." he whispered in my ear.

I was about to respond when he continued talking.

"...but, you're not good enough for me."

I felt the hot tears brim my eyes. I knew this day would come. When he would realize that I wasn't good enough for him. I reached my hand down slightly and felt the uneven scars on the wrist. I remembered the way the metal had felt cutting my skin.

Then, I felt the same sold metal, except this time on the back of my neck. I looked into his eyes and the had a menacing look on his face as he whispered is my ear, "Worthless." The tears finally spilled out of my eyes. I felt the cold metal pierce my skin. It slid down my neck to my shoulder blade, the everything turned to blackness."~

I opened my eyes, still breathing heavily from the memory. I realized someone was holding me. I looked up and it was the guy, Damon, I had been talking to. He smiled when he realized I had opened my eyes.

"I was walking out after you, when you just went limp and fell."

"Thank you for catching me."

"Now, you owe me a date."

I had to admit, it was the least I could do for this guy. I told myself that I would stop hiding from the world, and this was a good place to start. I nodded my head and smiled.

"As long as you put me down." He set me on the ground and I looked at him. I wasn't bad looking at all, actually we was quite good looking. He had a sense of danger about him that I was drawn to, but I'm not sure if that's good because of what happened last time.

"Pick me up at 7 tomorrow night." I dug in my purse and found a scrap piece of paper and a pen. I scribbled down my address and handed it to him. "My address." I said as I handed him the piece of paper.

I started walking away when I heard him call out. "Wear something pretty, we are going to a fancy restaurant." I smiled to myself and kept walking.

I soon reached my flat and went inside. I took my coat off and settled into the couch and flicked on the tv, but I wasn't paying any attention to it. I was to busy thinking about Damon.

I glanced down at the coffee table and say the newspaper. I picked it up and flipped to the section where they put adds for jobs. I had decided I needed a job, and now was the perfect time to start looking.

None of the jobs looked very interesting, but then I saw the perfect one. I called the number. After a few rings a person on the other end answered.

"Hello, how may I help."

"I'm the perfect person to fill the job you put an add for in the newspaper."
