Ray (draft)

1. The man of moons

Into this cosmetic world

was born a cosmic soul

a soul unlike no other

kindred, at first, only to its own.

From stars and dust born

bound only for that return

He spent his time wisely

laid down his blood, his bone

so it might be touched, tasted, seen

for the good it is - benevolence -

  and balance us serene.

If his efforts had reached not one

He would have passed the moon alone

but it touched so many, held the stars

and affected change in countless souls

  including my humbled own

Through his prophetic pages

I ran with him to the future

Along his green leaf memoirs

I rolled in our revered pasts

a legacy like no other

his words were laid to last.
