Fall

You step into the air
The wind whips through
Pushes, shoves, nudges your body
Slowly in it pulls you
Clouds form, gray pillows leak
Droplets of rain rinse sweat from your brow
As you reach the unsteady edge
You know you can't back out now
You leap into the tunnel
Awaiting walls of air
You sink inside the funnel
Of rain and cylcone wind
You fall into the black night
The ice-cold swallows you whole
The salt burns your eyesight
Water engulfs your breath
You struggle out of the wave
You kick and paddle and protest
But now you can't be saved
Because you just had that last fall
