Always the Sci-fis

Hey everybody! I am new at this - I mean, I've been writing for years, but this is the first time I've showed anybody besides my sister! Hope you like it... Tell me how it is, and what I can do better, please?

The story is about Alex who loses something she never new meant anything to her. It's when she sees him again that she realises what was really going on between them. Basically it's a love story. One of those funny (hopefully) lovestories, that makes you wish you had a life like that. (That's how I feel about a lot of stories anyway).

Uh, yeah, and you know how people always write (or at least I used too) about how a person became famous and then realised that what (or who) they had back home, was the best thing they ever had. I'm gonna try to do it the other way around.

Hope you like it.

1. The store.

"Okay, okay, I believe you! Can I have the movie now?" he sighed and looked me right in the eyes while he reach his hands towards me. "Fine! Why do you want it anyway?" I said, giving in after a long arguement. For as long as I have known him, he has never watched a musical. Always the Sci-fis. "I'm gonna audition for X-factor and I wanna perform one of the songs from this movie!" he said smiling as ckecked out the movie and handed it too him. "Why?" I asked leaning on the counter. "My mother said the songs were good," he said and shrugged. "I know they are, but it's Grease... I don't see you performing "You're the One I Want" on the x-factor stage... I didn't even know you sang," I said, laughing by the thought of it. "I won't sing that one..." he said and flipped it over, to look at the back side. "I'm gonna sing "Look at me, I'm Sandra Dee,"" he said, laughing at his own little joke. He obviously didn't knew what he was talking about. "Gotta go, see ya," he said turning around, heading out of the store. "Well, hope it works out well... Punk!" I yelled after him as he walked out of the store. "See ya, brat," he yelled as he closed the door behind him.

You see, Jake has been coming to the this store for 3 years - since we were both 13. My uncle gave me a job in his video store as a "Movie Adviser" because I was too young to get a real position. On my first day on  my new job this anoying little kid came in and started questioning me on sci-fi-movies. He had braces and pimples and greasy curly hair. He kept questioning me for 2 hours until my uncle threw him out because he took up all of my time. Jake threatened to come back the next day and he did. And the next day and the day after that. He kept coming back challeging me on all kind of different movie genres, and I kept getting better and better at answering his questions. But even after 3 years the only thing I knew about him was that he liked Science-Fiction-movies and he had never watched a musical. Until now of course. He relied a lot on his mom - or he talked a lot about her, so I guessed that he was a real "Mommy's boy". Other than that, I really didn't know anything about him.

That was until now of course. Now I knew that he wants to audition for X-factor.
