10. From Happiness to Horror

Living with Niall was very comfortable. He wanted the best of everything, and with all possible resources avaliable to him, Niall got it. But it wasn't just living in a luxurious apartment in Dublin. We could have lived anywhere and I would have been happy. Because Niall made me happy. Just being around him made me smile.

Staying in Ireland was pretty awesome too. Since my mom is from this country, I feel a special bond with it. I'd been coming here since before I could walk. It's like a second home to me. To sum it up, I was a happy eighteen year old.

"Ceili?" Niall asked, sitting down beside me on the couch and laying down, putting his head on my lap.
"Yes?" I said, ruffling his hair gently.
"You're happy here with me, right?"
I looked down at him seriously and said,
"Of course I am. Why wouldn't I be?"
"Well, I wondered if you were homesick. I know I miss home while I'm on tour."
I tilted my head, considering his question.
"I don't miss America, per se. It's more my family. Especially my mom."
Niall nodded, taking this in and said,
"You know what the lads do for me when I'm homesick?"
"What do they do?" I asked affectionately.
"They put on Irish accents. Awful Irish accents, at that. But it still helps."
"Put on an American accent then."
Niall grinned, cleared his throat and then said, in the funniest, most stereotypical Californian accent possible,
"Hey, you guys wanna go surfing?"

I almost died from laughter. I'm one of those people who once they start laughing, literally no thing and no one can get them to shut up. So it was then. I laughed until tears streamed down my cheeks. Naill took my hands and then said,
"Your turn. Do an Irish accent."
"I really can't. It's impossible for me, because of my mom."
"Just try."
I shook my head no, but Niall shot me a look with those big, blue doe-eyes of his. No one can refuse him anything once he's looked at you woth those baby blues. And the funniest thing is, he knows it too.

I rolled my eyes and then said,
"Fine. I'll try."
i bowed my head and then said,
"Hello, my name is Ceili."
Niall was literally on the floor, rolling around from laughter.

A few days later, Niall randomly decided that we were going out to dinner. He sent me a text saying,
"Taking U out 4 dinner 2nite. Pick-up at 7, kay?"
"What do I wear?"
"I am not a good fashion advisor, Ceili."
"no, i mean is it fancy? should i dress up?"
"U could wear ripped jeans and stained t-shirt and you'd still be beautiful."
I put the phone down and, clasping my hands to my chest, squealed in a total fan-girly way. He was just too sweet.

So, at seven sharp, Niall showed up at our door and I walked out, tottering down the front steps in my heels. I walked to Niall's side and he just stared at me.
"What?" I asked self-consciously, looking down at my feet.
Niall looked me up and down appreciatively.
"You look effing fantastic." he said.
I blushed even more deeply, feeling the heat flooding my cheeks. I didn't see why he was so amazed. I was wearing a midnight blue dress that went to the mid-thigh and matching heels. My hair was pinned up in a simple bun with a few tendrails falling down around my eyes. (I suck at doing hair, even my own) And my make-up was blue as well, with light pink lipstick. I didn't feel overly fantastic. So why was Niall staring at me like that?

I asked him this question and he jumped as if being startled out of a trance.
"What did you ask?" he said absently-mindedly, taking my hand and leading me to the car.
"Why do you look so stunned?"
"Because i suddenly realized that you are the single most beautiful woman on this planet. Or any planet, for that manner."
I laughed.
"Come on, Niall."
"What?" he asked innocently.
"No I'm not!"
"Yes, you are. Just accept it."
"There are drop-dead gorgeous people all around us, Niall."
"Like who?"
"Um- Angelina Joli? Keira Knightley? You said yourself you fancied Demi Lovato."
"That was before I met you. And you are an angel compared to every single one."
Before I could reply, Niall opened the side door and said,
"Your carriage awaits, Princess."

Twenty minutes later, we arrived at the restaraunt, a place called The Star Plaza. on the very top floor, the roof is supposedly glass, letting you see every single star in the sky up above you. And Niall had booked the enitre top floor just for us.
"Niall," I said, stopping in my tracks and staring around me.
"What is all this?"
"I didn't want us to be disturbed." Niall replied.
The waiter led us to the table right by a window and we sat down, looking at the menus.
"Order whatever you want." Niall said.
I nodded and looked down again.

About halfway through the magical night, I excused myself to use the restroom. I walked to mirror and reapplied my lipgloss. As I did this, my phone buzzed. I glanced at it and saw a new mesage from a number I didn't recognise. Intrigued, I picked it up and opened it up.

A video opened and i watched it, my eyes narrowing. The quality was horrible, but from what I could make out from the grainy picture, it looked like a 1D concert. It was videoing Niall's solo in "Moments." As I watched, a girl vaulted up into the stage and beside Niall. It was all happening too quickly for the security guards to stop her.

And then she kissed him. She kissed Niall. And he kissed her back.
