The Flute Player (1)

"Your test results have come back," the doctor said as soon as the door closed. I nervously looked at him, fidgiting.
"And?" My voice was barely audible. I watched him closely as he went behind his desk and to his files. I couldn't see anything in his eyes, his body language didn't suggest anything. I wanted him to hurry. I had a concert to perform in tonight, and I couldn't be late. One Direction was counting on me to play my flute with them.
"I'm sorry, Leah, but the results aren't good." The doctors eyes were sympathetic, and went on to explain the details. I didn't listen. From that moment on, I knew that the dream I was living would come to an end.

38. Telling her

Leah's Point of View

I was trying to read a book when Harry came running into my apartment.

"I've got the best news ever!" Harry exclaimed excitidly. His cheeks were red from running against the wind, he still had his coat on, and a scarf which was half wrapped around his neck.

"Tell me," I challeneged as I slid off of my bed, closed the front door and helped him take of his clothes, since he was too excited to do anything. I'm surpised he could actually drive here in the first place.

"Well, you'll never believe this!" Harry once again exclaimed, trying to get his breath back. He tugged off his scarf and beanie and slid off his running shoes before sinking down onto a nearby chair.

"Do tell!" He was holding it off, I could see it in his smile. Turning around, I put his coat, scarf and beanie on the coat rack and sat down on my bed.

"Welll...." Harry lingered, trying to contain his excitment. "Everyone in the band is going to get their bone marrow tested, and we're going to try set up an organization for it! Not just for donating bone marrow, but blood and any other things that people need, but can't get. We're not sure what it's going to be called yet, but isn't that a brilliant idea?!"

It took me a moment to register what Harry just said. A bone marrow program?! For me?! That meant I possibly could get an extremly close match if all the fans were to participate. My heart was beating quickly, and I soon caught on. I jumped up, screamed and then practically jumped on Harry, thanking him.

Harry's Point of View

I knew Leah would be happy, but I didn't expect her to be this happy. I was pinned down on the chair, laughing as Leah hugged me, and kissed my cheek.

"You know, if you get up, I actually might be able to kiss you on the lips," I laughed as I pushed her off. She steadied herself and helped me up. She steadied me, since we were a bit wobbely from her attack. I leaned in and kissed her.

It was the best feeling ever.
