The Flute Player (1)

"Your test results have come back," the doctor said as soon as the door closed. I nervously looked at him, fidgiting.
"And?" My voice was barely audible. I watched him closely as he went behind his desk and to his files. I couldn't see anything in his eyes, his body language didn't suggest anything. I wanted him to hurry. I had a concert to perform in tonight, and I couldn't be late. One Direction was counting on me to play my flute with them.
"I'm sorry, Leah, but the results aren't good." The doctors eyes were sympathetic, and went on to explain the details. I didn't listen. From that moment on, I knew that the dream I was living would come to an end.

9. A dream?

Liam's Point of View

I opened the door, and the five of us stumbled out. Leah turned around, and it took a few moments for her to realize what happened. Quickly, she grabbed a hardcover book, ready to hit us with it.

"How did you get in?" She demanded in a voice that wobbled with fear, but excitment.

"We came through the front door," Louis replied with a shrug.

"Don't get smart with me," Leah told us. "Who invited you?"

"Jane," Harry quickly responded. Leah quickly put her book down.

"So you saw the video Jane sent?? What did you think! Oh! I can't believe One Direction is in my house!" Leah looked at us. "Can I hug you?"

"Yes, we saw the video, and you are the best flute player ever," I responded. "And yes, you may give us each a hug." Without warning, Leah came and gave me a huge hug, so tight that I could hardly breath. She then moved on to the other boys, and gave them the same treatment.

Leah's Point of View

Was this a dream? Did Liam just say I was the best flute player ever, and did I just give all five members of One Direction a huge hug each? It must have been. I stood at the end of the line the boys had formed and started pinching myself.

"It's no dream, Love," Louis said in his cute accent. I looked at him, into his dreamy eyes. Did Louis Tomlinson just call me 'Love'? Ahh! This couldn't get any better!

"Are you sure?" I asked.

"Yes," all five boys replied in unison.

I shook my head in disbelief. "Oh! Where's my manners! Do you boys want something to drink? Something to eat?"

"Are you kidding me?!" Niall responded. "You really didn't have to ask that...." We all laughed, and I directed them to the kitchen. This was obviously a dream, even if Louis told me it wasn't.
